Students should have the right to wear religious attire such as veils in colleges and universities. Leaders of university and college unions have pledge their support for the rights of people of all faiths to wear the religious headdress and other religious attire appropriate to their faiths. The union argues that the move is essential to encourage participation and further higher education among ethnic minority groups, particularly women. In this edition of the show we ask the following question; how will banning religious clothing discourage diversity in higher education?
