Gunmen have opened fire and killed 18 people in Iraq\'s northeastern city of Baqouba. Most of the dead are Iranian nationals. The attack targeted a gas pipeline project stretching from Iran into neighboring Iraq. Police officials say 16 Iranians and several Iraqis were killed. While five Iranians and two Iraqis were injured. Violence in Iraq has hit a five-year high since the beginning of this year. The United Nations estimates that at least eight-thousand people have been killed in 2013.
