Not much has changed since the national dialogue conference was launched some three months ago. The process brought together the country\'s top political leaders ranging from all factions with the aim to bring lasting peace in the country. The primary aim of the NDC is to come up with solutions for a wide-range of issues, which have put Yemen in a state political instability with much tensions rising over separatist slogans from the south of the country. The national dialogue conference sessions has so far marred with a number of unprecedented events such as sit-ins by representatives from the south and their repeated demands for independence. A group of protesters have taken to the streets of Tehran for yet another demonstration against the US and its policies. The protest is the latest in a series of weekly rallies held after Friday prayers. The demonstrators have dubbed this week\'s rally as \"the US apology for racism and deception.\" They chanted slogans against the US and torched its flag. The protesters also stepped on pictures of the US Undersecretary of State Wendy Sherman to show their anger at her anti-Iran remarks. Earlier this month, Sherman told a group of US senators that deception is part of the DNA, while she was talking about dealing with Iran.

Fresh crackdown in Bahrain. Regime forces have arrested yet another prominent female rights activist and lawyer there. Amira al-Bahrani was abducted during a nighttime raid on her house in the city of Sanabis. We do not have any information about why she was arrested or her whereabouts. 7 other activists were also detained by regime forces in separate raids in A\'ali area near the capital Manama. No further details have been provided about those raids either. The Al Khalifah regime is under fire for its harsh crackdown on rights activists and pro-democracy protesters. The kingdom has been gripped by anti-monarchy rallies since February 2011.

Reports from Yemen say casualties are caused in yet another U-S assassination drone strike in an eastern province. The airstrike targeted a pickup truck in Hadra-maut province, where three people were killed. No further details are available at the moment, but we\'ll keep you updated as we get them. It is the latest drone attacks that the U-S has been launching in Yemen over the past years. Washington is also carrying out its drone campaign in several other Muslim countries including Pakistan and Afghanistan. The U-S claims that the drone attacks are part of its so-called war on terror, and that they target militants. However, facts on the ground show that civilians often take the brunt.

In yet another show of anger at the US, Pakistan\'s Jaamat-e-Islami organization has drawn tens of thousands of people into the streets of Karachi to protest the American drone attacks in their country. The demonstration follows the blocking of NATO supplies in the northwestern city of Peshawar.

Local media say the blast took place when a bomber detonated a car packed with explosives in front of a bus stop in the Sumariyah district. The area in western Damascus is home to a complex-- housing families of soldiers fighting against foreign backed insurgents. Syria has seen a rise in such attacks since government forces escalated their mop-up operations to clear more areas of the foreign-backed militants.

Somalia is witnessing yet another day of deadly violence. A car blast in the capital has left at least two people dead. A lawmaker identified as Warsame Faysal and a driver were killed in the blast that rocked the entrance of the presidential palace in Mogadishu. Witnesses say the explosives were planted under the car and went off when the driver got into it. Violence in Somalia has been on the rise ahead of the elections in January. On Thursday, a vehicle packed with explosives rammed into two pick-up trucks carrying Marine Forces in a busy market area in the northern Puntland region, leaving nine people dead and nearly 40 others injured.

The US secretary of state is back in the Middle East for yet another round of shuttle diplomacy between Israelis and the Palestinian Authority. John Kerry visited Ramallah to hold a closed-door meeting with PA officials to discuss the so-called peace talks that suffered a heavy blow last week.

Israeli soldiers have killed yet another Palestinian in the south of the besieged Gaza Strip. The Israeli army says soldiers opened fire at the Palestinian man, after he entered a forbidden security zone in the east of Khan Yunis. According to Palestinian Health Ministry sources, he was hit by Israeli tank fire. The military often targets Palestinians in the area. Tel Aviv has imposed a crippling blockade on the Gaza Strip since 2007, which has caused a decline in the standard of living, unprecedented levels of unemployment, and unrelenting poverty.

Demonstrators have poured onto the streets of the Yemeni city of Sada\\\\\\\'a for yet another protest against the US and Israel. The protesters stormed the main streets of Sada\\\\\\\'a in the country\\\\\\\'s north, holding placards denouncing the US interference in Yemen\\\\\\\'s affairs. The demonstrators also chanted slogans against the Yemeni government over American drone attacks in the country. The protests come in the wake of a deadly US strike on a wedding in the country, killing 17 people. The US is estimated to have carried out at least a dozen strikes in the province since the start of 2012.

Syrian women who once lived comfortable yet modest lives in Syria are now forced to live a life of hardship in Lebanon.In refugee camps, displaced Syrians live in tents and benefit from various international aids. But on the streets of Beirut female Syrian refugees are encountering a different scenario. Many of these women are often found on the streets of the capital selling products and begging for money to make ends meet.

israel has launched at least two air-strikes in the Gaza Strip. There has not been any report of casualties yet. The attack comes just a few hours after Palestinians fired a rocket to Israel and Israeli forces shot a Palestinian teen in the leg. The rocket fell in an open area in Eshkol Regional Council. An explosion was reportedly heard in the nearby area but no injuries or damage has been reported. Attacks by Israeli forces on Palestinians have recently escalated. On Sunday, two people were wounded by Israeli tank shells in central Gaza.

Bahrain is the scene of yet another anti-government rally. The protest west of Manama was joined by the leader of the main opposition bloc Al-Wefaq. Sheikh Ali Salman attended the rally in the village of Shakhora to condemn the jailing of photographers and activists by the Al Khalifa regime. The protest comes as Manama continues its brutal crackdown against opposition leaders and activists calling for democratic change in the Persian Gulf Kingdom. The Al Khalifa regime has detained hundreds of opposition activists since the revolution started in 20-11. Scores of protesters have died in the crackdown and many others have been given lengthy jail sentences for attending anti-regime protests.

Shia Muslims in Pakistan come under yet another terrorist attack. Two-dozen Shia pilgrims have been killed in a bomb blast. The pilgims\' bus was targeted at a village in the southwestern province of Balochistan, as they were returning from their visit to Iran. Our correspondent in Pakistan gives us the details.

Brahimi also admitted that there has not been any breakthrough yet in the talks between the delegations from the Syrian government and foreign-backed opposition. The two sides have been negotiating in Geneva over the the past few days, with talks deadlocked over the opposition\'s insistence that President Bashar al-Assad resign. Brahimi has also said that the U-S and Russia are vehemently working to find a solution to the current conflict in Syria. The U-N-Arab League envoy says the talks will continue through Friday.

A new poll gives yet another grim assessment of US-led wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. A majority of Americans now say their country failed to achieve its goals in either country. According to a joint USA Today-Pew Research survey, about 52 percent of Americans say their country has not succeeded in Iraq and Afghanistan. A majority of respondents also criticized the U-S military action in Iraq. Views on the failure in Iraq differ little across party lines. However, there\'s division over the Afghan war with more Republicans than Democrats calling it the right decision. The public\'s critical assessment stands in contrast to opinions in 2011 after al-Qaeda-leader Osama bin Laden was allegedly killed by the US in Pakistan.

Palestinians in Gaza have staged yet another protest in support of prisoners held in Israeli jails. The protest was organized by Waed Society for Palestinian Prisoners as well as the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs. The Addameer Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association says, as of January 2014, there have been more than five-thousand Palestinian political prisoners in Israeli jails. The prisoners include 155 administrative detainees, 17 women and 154 children. Also, 10 Palestinian prisoners are now on a hunger strike in an attempt to end their sufferings and their administrative detention.
