What happens when when an educational institution doesn\'t bother to think about and plan for the future?
What will happen to the Howza, the Islamic Seminary, if it fails to think about and plan for the next 20/30 years?
If the Islamic Seminary had bothered to think about and plan about the future, 20/30 years ago, what would the present be like?
What are some examples of present-day modern things that have changed the world and could have been managed more appropriately?
The Leader of the Islamic Ummah, Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei, gave us the answers almost 10 years ago; so speed up because we\'re already being left behind.
And does the Howza really want to be left behind as the caravan of time and change keeps on moving forward?
It\'s time for the Howza to start thinking ahead.

It was an ill-fated day 50 years ago when an assassin shot former President John F. Kennedy. The president was traveling in a motorcade with his wife Caroline in Dallas, Texas in 1963. He was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
Lee Harvey Oswald was accused of the crime and he was later shot and killed by Jack Ruby. Oswald never stood trial. Since that time, speculation has swirled around why Kennedy was targeted. It still haunts journalists who reported from the tragedy.
Kennedy was the 35th US president. He was assassinated almost three years into his term. For many, he\'s left behind an unfulfilled promise.
But Kennedy did leave behind a legacy of tradition that is being remembered for generations.
This week, President Obama remembered his predecessors memory at Arlington National cemetery. He laid a wreath at the grave site with former President Bill Clinton and relatives of the slain president.
Mr. Obama was accompanied by Ethel Kennedy, the wife of Robert Kennedy. Earlier in the day, the current president carried on the tradition of presenting a medal of freedom. A tradition started by Kennedy that he never lived to see.
President Kennedy\'s legacy lives on despite the tragedy that cut his life at 46 years old. There are many who have theorized that his assassination was part of a conspiracy plot. But the real truth surrounding the former president\'s death may never really be known.

A national rally held across Iran for the past 34 years; every year on November 4th Iranians take to the streets across the country to mark a historic which changed the direction of Iran-US relations. Holding banners and placards demonstrators chant \"down with USA\" on the anniversary of the US embassy take over in Tehran by university students back in 1979.
The latest rally took place as both Iran and the US recently took steps towards easing diplomatic tensions after three decades. Despite calling for a softer tone in this year\'s demonstration by some political groups this year\'s event appeared much bigger than previous years.

The Bagram prison north of Kabul has been holding hundreds of prisoners for years. They were detained while the facility was under the American control. But the US ceded its control to the Afghans after several years of delay. Now, the Afghan government wants to free 88 prisoners there. It follows the release of at least 6-hundred and fifty inmates. Kabul says it\'s found insufficient evidence to continue their detention. But Washington is angry about this, saying the prisoners pose a serious security threat. The row comes at a time when relations between the two sides are at a new low. Ties have grown strained particularly over President Hamid Karzai\'s refusal to sign a security deal to keep U-S troops in Afghanistan after 20-14.

Over the past 3 years, Egypt has turned into an inhospitable place for journalists to work in. In 2013, Egypt was listed as the third most dangerous country for a journalist to work in falling only after Iraq and Syria.
According to a newly released report by the Press Freedom Watchdog, 2013 was one of the hardest years for media personnel in Egypt -- both under former president Mohamed Morsi and months that followed his removal. Violations against the press ranged from physical attacks to legal persecution under the pretext of spreading false information Last year, six journalists were killed while on the job. Another danger faced by journalists in Egypt is a growing distrust of the public against foreign news organizations.

The Taliban have admitted that they hid the death of their former leader Mullah Omar for two years.
The group says the news had to be kept secret until foreign forces left Afghanistan. The Taliban confirmed in July that Omar died but did NOT clarify the date. Many insurgents have accused the top leadership of keeping them in the dark while issuing statements in his name. The cover-up was explained in a biography of new Taliban chief Mullah Akhtar Mansour. The Taliban apparently came under pressure to confirm the death after the Afghan spy agency revealed that he died two years ago in a Karachi hospital.

A new chapter was opened in Afghanistan on October 7, 2001, when the US warplanes began launching heavy strikes against the Taliban in different parts of Afghanistan.
Most Afghans were optimistic following the ouster of the Taliban government in the autumn of 2001. It was a new beginning for the people to build a new country under the US presence and its commitments to the people and government of Afghanistan.
Despite certain achievements, especially in the fields of democracy and women’s rights, many here believe that such achievements can never be compared to the amount of misery they have tolerated over the past years.
Uprooting terrorism in Afghanistan, poppy eradication and bringing stability were known as the top priorities of US and its allies after the overthrow of the Taliban regime.
However, the bitter story of over 3 million drug addicts in Afghanistan alongside the rising unemployment in the country show a big failure in these areas.
Let\'s not forget that 18 years of US-led NATO military presence in Afghanistan has also created an environment for terrorist groups to push the country into further chaos, as they name the US and its allies as their enemies.

What has Afghanistan gained after 20 years under the occupation of the United States of America?
What did the Americans do to Afghanistan in these last 20 years where they occupied and devastated a sovereign nation under the pretext of \"spreading freedom and democracy\"?
Finally, which Afghans are the Americans taking out of Afghanistan in such a hurry, and where are they taking them to?
The Leader, Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei, speaks, so pay attention.
Governments come and go.
We are the supporters of the Afghan people.

[03 June 2012] Iran hosts international confab on Imam Khomeini - English
Thinkers and scholars from 60 world countries have taken part in the conference. Iran has hosted an international conference to discuss ethics and politics from the viewpoint of the late Imam Khomeini. The conference comes as Iran is preparing to mark the 23rd anniversary of the demise of late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Imam Khomeini on June 3. Thinkers and scholars from different world countries have already arrived in Tehran to commemorate the occasion. Thinkers believe that the teachings of Imam Khomeini will continue to inspire Muslims around the world in the years to come. Imam Khomeini, who overthrew the Shah regime back in 1979 and established the Islamic Republic believed that the keys to the victory of the Islamic revolution were the faith in God, reliance on the people and unity in words and action. Imam Khomeini died on June 3, 1989.

On October 7th 2001, American forces entered into Afghanistan for what they said to defeat the Taliban and their associate Al-Qaeda.
However, 11 years on, this so-called mission has still remained unaccomplished. All are being killed everyday, both the foreign troops and Afghan civilians, and local people in Afghanistan are now growing weary of this war.
