Here at one of Europe\'s most respected economic think tanks, Bruegel, researchers and analysts are continuing to crunch the latest unemployment figures which show a record number of people out of work in the eurozone. According to the EU\'s statistical office, Eurostat, within the 17 countries that use the euro, an additional 95,000 people joined the dole queues in April. According to the latest figures there are now 19.4 million unemployed adults in the eurozone. That is 12.2% of the labor force. 3.6 million adults under the age of 25 are without job. In Greece and Spain youth unemployment is running at 60%. And 40% of young adults are without work in Italy. France, Europe\'s second largest economy, is also experiencing record unemployment. Every day, a thousand jobs are lost in France. 3.2 million French are looking for jobs, that\'s a record since the 1990s. According to the International Labour Organisation, western countries like France are focusing too much on austerity and too little on creating jobs. The worst affected are those who have been out of the job market for more than six months. At state run job centers, the wait for jobs offers is getting longer. But a study shows, the centers are unable to handle fresh waves of job seekers. The study shows employment offices like the one right behind me are have such complicated administrations that they will need over three dozen reforms in order to serve the French and help them find jobs that are badly needed. The Union of the Metal Industry Workers in the blockaded coastal enclave has announced that there are around seven thousand workers currently unemployed due to the Israeli blockade and Egypt\'s closure of the borders. About %90 of Gaza factories, 3900 factories, are shut down due to the blockade. Factories have been shuttered due to the shortage of machinery, raw material, and the ongoing power crisis.

A new study reveals a rising trend in job discrimination against Palestinians in the Israeli-occupied territories. The report funded by Bank of Israel shows the jobless figure among Arab men is twice that of their Jewish peers. It also says Jewish men earn roughly twice as much as their Arab counterparts. The situation is even worse for Palestinian women, as they are three times less likely to have a job than Jewish women. Experts blame the inequality on what they call ghetto-ization of Arabs by Israeli authorities.

Iran\'s reformist presidential candidate Mohammad-Reza Aref has stressed the need for facilitating both domestic and foreign investment in the country, vowing to slash unemployment. In his televised speech on Wednesday night, Aref said, if elected, his administration would give assurances to Iranian investors and redirect people\'s money away from brokers and gold and foreign currency exchange markets to the country\'s industries. He also pledged measures to encourage foreign investment. \"Unfortunately the rate of foreign investment growth in Iran is below the international average and we are having an unfavorable situation,\" he said. Aref criticized the \"unacceptable\" rate of unemployment, especially among the country\'s university graduates, and promised to create over one million jobs annually. He said he would try to achieve the figure by boosting tourism, which he said would provide an annual 200,000 job opportunities, besides expanding the information and communications technology industry as well as the country\'s lucrative energy sector. \"We are planning to keep the added-value of energy products at home. We should try not to sell crude oil or natural gas,\" he stated. Aref also highlighted Iran\'s unique geopolitical situation and thus the opportunity for the country to become a regional hub in various fields, such as commerce, communications and goods transit. This will improve the country\'s economy and help the country\'s national security, the presidential candidate pointed out. Aref is vying against Tehran Mayor Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, Secretary of Expediency Council Mohsen Rezaei, President of the Center for Strategic Research of the Expediency Council Hassan Rohani, lawmaker Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili, former Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Velayati, and former Telecommunications Minister Mohammad Gharazi. Within days-- the US will hit 15 trillion dollars in debt. That's fifteen with 12 zeroes behind it. The numeric milestone comes at a time when Americans as a whole have a distrust of Congress for how it spends their money. Across the country protests and public discontent is rising over federal spending from conservatives and liberals. Occupy protests that started at Wall Street in New York have spread across the country. They're angry with banks that received federal funds but insist on charging customers extra fees. They call it bank transfer day. In the Eurozone, President Obama spends time in Cannes, France, for the G-20 summit that takes place as Europe is trying to determine a bailout package for debt-ridden Greece. But while the president is overseas-he has to fight for a reelection battle back at home. republican rivals are pointing to the country's crawling economy and describe it as a result of weak leadership. And the US' struggling recovery was dealt another blow this week with a lackluster jobs report. U.S. employers hired an estimated 80,000 people last month, worse than economists expected. The unemployment rate only dropped a tenth of a percent down to 9 percent. Congress is still so divided that President Obama is trying to find ways to get the country moving by using executive orders instead of a preferred legislative process. Meanwhile, as lawmakers squabble the US debt steadily rises with the national poverty rate and the number of dissatisfied Americans.

Tens of thousands of anti- government protesters have taken to the streets across the country on a day dubbed loyalty to the blood of martyrs. Protesters gathered in the change square of Sana'a and chanted anti-government slogans, denouncing the US -Saudi brokered deal as it gives Ali Abdullah Saleh immunity from prosecution. They condemned the killing of peaceful march of life calling for the expulsion of US Ambassador to Yemen over his latest remarks. Earlier, Dirald Firstien stated that if two thousands protesters staged a march toward the WHIT house, they would be deterred from reaching it. This comes as strikes are spreading through the capital Sana'a. Government employees staged rallies demanding for reforms and the firing of senior corrupted managers. While, the Military commission plans to continue lifting barricades to the north of capital Sana'a, clashes erupted once again between republican guards and tribal armed men loyal to dissident tribal leader of Hashied Federation, Sadiq Al-Ahmar. During its Tuesday's session, the parliament gave the trust to the newly unity government. Political analysts predict that protests would continue with no end in sight until people's demands are met. The impoverished country has been hit by daily anti-government protests since late January demanding an end to corruption and unemployment. As violent clashes have erupted once again in Al-Hassabah region, threatening the power transfer brokered deal, the protesters call for the continuation of their revolution in loyalty to the blood of martyrs, vowing to prosecute who they describe as killers and corrupted people.
