In 1972 Dr. Adib Rizvi set up a tiny urology clinic in Karachi to treat kidney disease--and his work hasn\\\\\\\'t stopped since.
His goal was free healthcare for every sick person who walked through the hospital doors.
Today, at 75, Dr. Rizvi still goes to work 7 days a week, keeping pace with the needs of his patients.
\\\\\\\"Retirement with death,\\\\\\\" he says with a smile.

The months of Muharram and Safar have passed on, and as Imam Khomeini (R) says, it is the months of Muharram and Safar that have protected Islam.
In this Imam Husayn (A) special, CubeSync is proud to present an exposition on some excerpts of Imam Husayn\\\'s Dua \\\'Arafa, which were recited by Imam Husayn (A) on his way to Karbala. A journey which led to Imam Husayn\\\'s martyrdom.
Sayyid Shahryar speaks to us about how we behave towards Allah and how Allah treats us in return.
It\\\'s time to reassess our relationship with Allah, and start making real changes on our behalf, because Allah has always been good to us.
Salutations be upon Husayn, upon Ali ibn al-Husayn, upon the children of Husayn, and upon the companions of Husayn.

How do the people of the Hereafter treat the people around them?
What are some interesting questions that are asked of the people of the Hereafter, and what are their responses?
What is the motivation of the people of the Hereafter in treating the people the way that they do?
What place does the satisfaction and the love for the Almighty Allah play in the motivations of the people of the Hereafter?
Finally, how do the people of the Hereafter treat others?
The late Ayatollah Misbah-Yazdi (R) provides us with a short, but profound lesson on the basics of loving Allah.

Palestinian medics treat Maltese peace activist Bianca Zimmit at al-Aqsa hospital in the central Gaza Strip on April 24, 2010.
After the Israeli forces shot and injured a Maltese national during a pro-Palestinian protest in Gaza, Malta's Foreign Ministry moves to condemn the attack.
Twenty-eight-year-old Maltese activist Bianca Zimmit was wounded by a live Israeli round on Saturday during a demonstration against Tel Aviv's decision to declare large parts of Gaza's arable land a "no-go" area, Ma'an news agency reported.
In a Sunday statement, the Maltese Foreign Ministry "deplored and condemned in the strongest possible terms" Zimmit's shooting, Israeli newspaper Ha'aretz reported.
Local residents and international activists had gathered around the restricted zone in the central Gaza Strip to protest the ban that makes 20 percent of arable lands inaccessible to farmers.
The zone reportedly intrudes into the Strip beyond the areas from which Israel is supposed to have withdrawn in 2005.
The Sunday Times of Malta quoted Zammit as saying that "We were not doing anything illegal. I don't expect to be shot for holding a Palestinian flag or holding a camera, especially since we were chanting peaceful songs."
Israeli troops also injured five more protesters including a 22-year-old, who was shot in the stomach, Ma'an reported.

Unconventional weapons used against Gazans
Doctor Mads Gilbert is a member of a Norwegian triage medical team present in the besieged Gaza Strip. The team has exposed that Israel has used depleted uranium weapons in its war on the impoverished territory which is home to 1.5 million Palestinians. He described the conditions inside Gaza in an exclusive Press TV interview.
Press TV: What can you tell about the uranium findings?
Dr. Mads Gilbert:The findings about the uranium I cannot tell you much about, but I can tell you that we have clear evidence that the Israelis are using a new type of very high explosive weapons which are called Dense Inert Metal Explosive (DIME) and are made out of a tungsten alloy.
These weapons have an enormous power to explode.
The power of the explosion dissipates very quickly and the strength does not travel long, maybe 10 meters, but those humans who are hit by this explosion, this pressure wave are cut in pieces.
This was first used in Lebanon in 2006, it was used here in Gaza in 2006 and the injuries that we see in Shifa [Hospital] now, many many of them I suspect and we all suspect are the effect of DIME weapons used by the Israelis.
On the long term, these weapons will have a cancer effect on those who survive. They will develop cancer we suspect. There has been very little research on this but some research has been among other places in the United States, which show that these weapons have a high tendency to develop cancer. So they kill and those who survive risk having cancer.
Press TV: And what do you have to say about this?
Dr. Mads Gilbert:All that is happening in Gaza here now is against international law, it is against humanity and I think it is against what it means to be a decent person. You don't treat other people like this. Even if you disagree with him… maybe even if you fight with them, you don't treat civilians, children and women like this.
And I have an appeal to the Israeli doctors and nurses. They are my colleagues. We belong to the same international community, the medical community. I wish that the good doctors and nurses in Israel tell their government to stop these atrocities. We cannot continue with this. We may differ in opinions, but you cannot treat the civilian Palestinian population in Gaza in this way.
Today, they were bombing in Gaza City; we received 150 wounded and more than 50 killed.
Press TV: Only at Shifa?!
Dr. Mads Gilbert:Yes, here in Shifa. I treated a ten-year-old boy. He had his whole chest filled with fragments from the bomb. On his lap was another person's leg that had been cut off. We resuscitated him and did everything we could do to save his life but he died between our hands.
This is such a terrible experience and behind the numbers that you report all the time, there are human beings, families, women, grandmothers, children. That is in fact the reality in this situation. Those who are paying the price for the Israeli bombardments now are the common people, the Palestinian people.
Half of the population in Palestine are below 15 years and 80 percent of the people in Gaza live below the level of poverty defined by the UN. Now they don't have food, they don't have electricity. It's cold they don't have warmth and in addition to that, they are killed.
This must be stopped.
Press TV How many people did you see that are effected by this weapon?
Dr. Mads Gilbert: Almost all of the patients we have received have these sever amputations. They seem to have been affected by this kind of weapon. Of course, we have many fragment injuries and burns but those who have got their limbs cut off, constitutes quite a large proportion.
You know we have a lot to do. Palestinian doctors, nurses and paramedics do an incredibly heroic job to save their people. Doctor Eric and I are just a small drip in the ocean, but we learn from them. Unfortunately, we don't have the time to do research, we have to save lives, but this question should be researched by the international community.

Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei narrates and explains a tradition narrated from the Messenger of Allah, the holy Prophet Muhammad (S), where his eminence speaks about the 4 rights which are upon the Ummah.
What are those 4 rights that are upon the Ummah of the holy Prophet Muhammad (S)?
How do you treat the one who repents?
What does it mean to be merciful towards the weak?
And what should one do when they see someone doing good?
Finally, how should we treat the sinner, as compared to how we actually treat a sinner?
Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei expounds upon the wise words of the Messenger of Allah, the holy Prophet Muhammad (S).

[Friday Sermon] The 3 Alifs to Live By | How to Approach Our Desires -...
- Importance of reminding ourselves of the mission of Imam Hussain (a.s).
- In a will to his brother, Muhammad Hanafia, Imam Hussain...
- Importance of reminding ourselves of the mission of Imam Hussain (a.s).
- In a will to his brother, Muhammad Hanafia, Imam Hussain (a.s) explains the purpose of his actions in 4 points:
-- He negates wrong motives towards himself knowing that people would try to portray him as having ulterior motives.
-- He then expresses what his purpose is, to seek reformation in the community of his grandfather.
-- He explains the method of the Islamic law that he is using: bidding people to do good and forbidding them from evil.
-- And lastly he confirms that what he is doing is continuing the path of his grand father and his father.
- Reform should be an ongoing process at an individual and collective level.
- Examples of reformation on a personal level: focusing on improving our prayers, reflections of our fasts, giving charity, reflection on our means of livelihood etc..
- Examples of reformation on a social level by taking lessons from Karbala: brotherhood and unity of fellow Muslims in spite of the diversity in race, colour, language and ethnic background, outlook towards Muslim community on a global level, outlook towards non-Muslim etc..
- Importance of responding to Imam Hussain’s(a.s) call by submitting our heart, ears, mind, eyes, opinions and desires to him.
- When our heart is longing for something that is not permissible then make the choice that Imam Hussain(a.s)would make.
- We are surrounded by different circles around us.
- Inner circle are the Shias of the Ahlulbayt.
- Bigger circle around it, is the Muslim community.
- Outer bigger circle is the humanity at large.
- 3 Alif to keep in mind when interacting which each circle of groups:
-- Ithaar which means to sacrifice. For the inner circle the expectation is to have willingness to sacrifice for one another.
-- Infaaq which means to be charitable. This needs to be applied towards the Muslim community at large.
-- Insaaf which means to be just. The minimum requirement towards the humanity at large is to be just towards them. That doesn’t mean you don’t need to be charitable towards them either.
- Ilm-ul Ghayb (knowledge of the unseen) is only given to the chosen ones by the grace of Allah.(s.w.t).
- Narration of the story of the thirst of Hur and his army to show that Imam Hussain(a.s) had ilm-e ghayb.
- Imam Hussain(a.s) did not ask Hur if he had come as a supporter or an enemy. He saw they were thirsty and he quenched their thirst. That’s called humanity. Yet he was denied water in Karbala.
- He used his ilm-e ghayb in order to guide others but he would never use it for his own benefit. That was his test and trial. He knew water would be stopped yet he did not fill extra water for his own self.
- He personally used less water then others. On the day of Ashura, the most thirsty person was Imam Hussain (a.s).
- We need to reflect and see how we treat one another.
- Importance for volunteers to realize that those who come for the commemoration are the guests of Imam Hussain(a.s) and the volunteer is the host on behalf of Imam Hussain(a.s). So they should treat the guests well.
- It’s the kindness that Imam Hussain (a.s) showed towards them, that eventually brought back Hur to Imam’s camp and he then attained martyrdom.

Juz 18 of the Holy Qur\'an consists of three surahs, Surah al-Muminun, a Meccan surah, Surah Nur, a Medinan surah, and Surah al-Furqan, a Meccan surah. Surah al-Muminun and Surah Nur discuss the certain behaviours Allah (swt) expects us to have and those behaviours that He expects us to stay away from.
Through these surahs we realize the importance that Allah (swt) places on how our actions affect those around us. When we do things, we should be mindful of how we are affecting others. The characteristics that He advises us to have include: being humble in our prayer, avoiding vain talk, paying zakat, guarding our private parts, keeping our trusts and promises, being careful over our prayers, not fault-finding, and not spreading rumours about others.
This juz should cause us to really reflect on our actions and whether or not they positively or negatively affect others. Do we treat others the way Allah (swt) wants us to treat them?

Pictures of Crack in the wall of KA'ABAH. Al-Imam Ali ibne Abi Talib (a.s), son-in-law, cousin and the first infallible successor of holy Prophet Muhammad bin Abdullah (s.a.w.a.w) was born on Rajab 13 in the Holy Ka'abah (House of Allah) in the holy city of Makkah, Saudi Arabia. His mother Fatimah Bint Assad (s.a), at the time of his birth, was called to the holy Ka'abah and as she came close to it, the wall of Ka'abah became cracked and she was ordered by Allah to enter it. There Imam Ali (a.s) was born and she remained guest of Allah for three days there. After three days she came out of Ka'abah holding little Imam Ali (a.s) in her lap.
Every year on Rajab 13, the cracks became new recalling everyone the miracle. For centuries, the Saudi governments have been trying every treatment to conceal these cracks but failed. Dr. Tariq Al-Kateb, who was included in the committee that entered Ka'abah to treat the cracks that became new every year, says that from inside holy Ka'abah there are very clear signs of Fatimah bint Assad (s.a)'s entrance and then exit. Allahuma Salle Ala Muhammad WaAle Muhammad.
