Chiragh-e-Rah, is a documentary that highlights the role and contributions made by Pakistani Security Forces in socio-economic development of remote areas along our western borders. The Security Forces measured the threats and countered the nefarious designs head-on, with a comprehensive strategy. The essence was to:- “Achieve enduring peace through stabilization of Western Zone by defeating insurgency; reinforced with a population centric and community driven developmental approach. Concurrent mainstreaming and education of youth to make them useful members of the society.” Having addressed the menace of fear, terrorism & uncertainty, a new era of development and progress has been launched with the assistance of the government. May it be: Communication infrastructure like roads, tunnels and bridges to connect these remote areas to main cities. Establishment of modern and progressive education system for the youth of the area. Women empowerment initiatives. Providing basic health facilities, provision of clean drinking water Encouraging economic activities through promoting local industries Mineral resources and tourism, providing sports grounds and other facilities for healthy and positive activities and to promote local talent Restoration of law and order, establishing writ of the government. The documentary highlights that; the day is not far when these areas will be at par and in pace with other developed parts of the country. This is a ‘meccan’ sūrah. The Holy Prophet (saw) said that reciting this sūrah carries the reward of reciting a quarter of the Holy Qur’an. The recitation of this sūrah drives away Shaitan and keeps one safe from Shirk. It is also among the five sūrahs that have been recommended to be recited during a journey, the others being sūrah an-Nasr, at-Tawhid, al-Falaq and an-Naas. Reciting sūrah al-Kafirun and at-Tawheed in compulsory prayers is a means for forgiveness of sins for the reciter, his parents and his children. If a person dies after reciting this sūrah, it is as if he has died a martyr. Recitation of this sūrah before sleeping keeps one safe the whole night.

This is a ‘meccan’ sūrah. It is narrated from the Holy Prophet (saw) that the reward for reciting this sūrah is equivalent to the total number of people who keep up prayer and safeguard the property which has been entrusted to them. Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (as) has said that the one who recites this sūrah will have his sins hidden on the Day of Judgement and he will enter Jannah alongside the Holy Prophet (saw). If a prisoner recites this sūrah, he will secure his release. Imam Ja’far as-Sadiq (as) said that if this sūrah is recited before sleeping, one keeps safe from the temptations of Shaitan (la).
