Police used tear gas and water cannons to disperse hundreds of pro-Morsi students who had blocked a nearby road. Similar clashes broke out between police and pro-Morsi students in the Nile Delta city of Zakazik. The protesters demand Morsi\'s reinstatement. Egypt has seen deadly protests following Morsi\'s ouster by the military back in July.

The Lebanese city of Tripoli is once again witnessing clashes linked to the war in neighboring Syria. Supporters and opponent of the Syrian government clashed in the Jabal Mohsen neighborhood after a protest against extremists who support militants in Syria. The Lebanese army has intervened, trying to end the violence. The city has in the past seen similar violent confrontations between the two sides. A few days ago, deadly fighting broke out in the same neighborhood.

Us President Barack Obama has once again stressed the need to enforce existing sanctions on Iran over its nuclear energy program. Obama has repeated his anti-Iran remarks during a joint press conference with visiting French President Francois Hollande in Washington. He says the U-S and France both insist on the sanctions even as they know this would endanger the possibility of a diplomatic solution. He says the U-S has recently intensified its measures to identify and punish individuals and companies that violate the existing anti-Iran sanctions. Obama went further to threaten that sanctions may be tightened if the talks between Iran and the P5+1 group fail. The French president\'s visit to the U-S follows the visit to Iran of a French business delegation which sparked criticism from Washington.

It is the worst air pollution, or haze as it\'s known, in Malaysia in 16 years. But the reason for the thick smog which has blanketed much of the country is the same as last time - smoke from illegal burning to clear land that has blown across from the Indonesian island of Sumatra. The Malaysian government has declared an emergency in some areas where the air quality has reached hazardous levels, including ordering schools to close.

Clashes have once again erupted between Egyptian police and students at Cairo\'s al-Azhar University. Egyptian security forces fired tear gas to disperse students protesting in support of ousted President Mohamed Morsi. The protesters managed to take their march outside the university campus and blocked a main road as they chanted against the military that ousted Morsi in July. The protesters were seen throwing rocks at security forces and a number of students were arrested. There are no immediate reports on casualties. Clashes also erupted on Sunday when students tried to move their protest out of the campus.

The Afghan leader has once again threatened to reject a planned security pact with the U-S, if Washington continues its drone strikes in the country. Hamid Karzai\'s remarks come in the wake of a new assassination drone attack that killed an Afghan kid in Helmand province. Here\'s a report.

Bahraini security forces have once again clashed with anti-government protesters in the suburbs of the capital Manama. The clashes broke out in the village of Sanabis following the funeral of 15-year old Ahmad Abdul-Amir Ali. He was critically injured in an explosion near a warehouse on Friday. Reports say Ahmad died because the ambulance taking him to hospital was stopped by security forces. Bahrain\'s main opposition group al-Wefaq called the teenager a martyr and urged people to participate in his funeral.

President Hassan Rouhani has once again highlighted Iran\'s right to access peaceful nuclear energy, including uranium enrichment. He made the comment at a ceremony in Tehran commemorating the national Student Day. Rouhani pointed to the recent agreement reached between Iran and the permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany in Geneva and said the deal struck a heavy blow to Zionism. The Iranian president also said his government will strive to tear down what he called the wall of unfair sanctions against the nation. Elsewhere in his speech, Rouhani said Iran seeks constructive and positive interactions with other countries. He also hailed Iran for its significant role in preventing a destructive war in Syria.

Tel Aviv has been defying international calls to lift its blockade, which is seen by many rights groups as illegal.

israel has once again attacked the besieged Gaza Strip, leaving five Palestinians injured. Four children are among the victims. Local sources say the Israeli air force carried out at least four airstrikes in and around Gaza City. Earlier, we were joined by our correspondent in Gaza who gave us more details about the pre-dawn attack.

Russian once again calls for Iran\\\'s participation in the upcoming Geneva two conference on Syria. In a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, Russian President Vladimir Putin voiced support for Tehran\\\'s participation. Putin says Iran is an important country that can play an irreplaceable role. Putin also says the recent Geneva deal between Iran and the P5+1 on Tehran\\\'s nuclear energy program was achieved largely because of the stance of Iranian authorities. The Iranian foreign minister for his part said Russia has made diplomatic progress in settling the Syrian problem. Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov also said Iran\\\'s role is essential in ending the conflict in Syria.

Iraq once again threatens Turkey with tough measures over its oil deals with the Arab country\'s Kurdistan Regional Government. Oil Minister Abdel-karim al-Luaybi says Ankara\'s plan to import oil from its northern region is a QUOTE red line for Iraqis. Al-Luaybi warned that his government will cancel all the current contracts with Turkey if it allows Kurdistan\'s oil to be exported to international markets. The Iraqi minister added that Ankara\'s decision is not in Turkey\'s interests. The remarks are made a day after the Iraqi minister said Baghdad will take legal action against Turkey over the issue. The row between the two sides deepened after Iraq\'s Kurdish region announced that its first direct shipment of oil to Turkey has gone on sale.

Deadly car bombs have once again struck Iraq\'s capital Baghdad. An army officer and a civilian have been killed in the two separate explosions. Several others were also wounded by the blasts, which took place in southern and eastern Baghdad.
