🎦 The Military Siege by the Pharaohs of Surra Man Ra\'a | Imam Hasan ibn Ali al-Zaki al-Askari (A) | CubeSync
Why was the 11th divinely appointed Imam, Imam Hasan ibn Ali al-Askari (A) forcefully brought to the city of Surra Man Ra\'a by the Abbasid Caliph of his eminence\'s era?
And why was the capital of the Abbasid Caliphate moved from the city of Baghdad to the city of Surra Man Ra\'a?
What were the Abbasid Caliphs trying to prevent from occurring, which led to them to imprison and lay a military siege upon both the 10th and 11th divinely appointed Imams?
And how are the aforementioned actions of the Abbasid Caliphs reminiscent of the Pharaohs that tried to prevent the birth of Prophet Moses (A)?
And finally, in the end, was the great military siege of the Abbasid Caliphs of Surra Man Ra\'a successful in achieving their aims?
Sayyid Shahryar answers in this episode of CubeSync, as he speaks about Imam Hasan al-Askari (A) and \"The Military Siege by the Pharaohs of Surra Man Ra\'a\".
Our condolences to the believers all across the world, wherever you are, upon the martyrdom anniversary of the 11th divinely appointed successor to the Messenger of Allah (S), Imam Hasan ibn Ali al-Zaki al-Askari (A).
Peace and salutations be upon you, O’ son of the Messenger of the Lord of the Worlds!
Peace and salutations be upon you, O’ son of the Commander of the Believers!
Peace and salutations be upon you, O’ son of Fatima, the Luminous!

[17 July 2012] Paying Taliban to lay down arms is not effective - English
US-led NATO says the strategy of buying the loyalty of Taliban members in Afghanistan has proved to be a failure as only around 5,000 militants have responded to the strategy by giving up their weapons.
The US-led Western military alliance said that the plan has had very little effect across Afghanistan so far.
The program, which started in October 2010, offers a stipend of USD 360 over three months to each Taliban militant who lays down arms and joins the program.
The US-led invasion of Afghanistan was launched in 2001. The offensive removed the Taliban from power, but insecurity continues to rise across Afghanistan despite the presence of tens of thousands of US-led troops there.
The US-led war in Afghanistan, with civilian and military casualties at record high, has become one of the longest wars in US history.
Press TV has conducted an interview with Carl Osgood, Executive Intelligence Review, from Washington, to further discuss the issue.

Pakistan\'s interior minister says the government plans to put former military ruler Parviz Musharraf on trial for treason.
Musharraf would be the first military ruler tried for treason in a country that has experienced three military coups in its 66-year history. He could face the death penalty if convicted of treason for declaring a state of emergency while in power. Musharraf has pleaded not guilty to all the charges. Musharraf was forced to step down in 2008 after ruling for about a decade and left the country shortly afterwards. He returned to Pakistan in March to run in the national elections in May, but was disqualified. Musharraf had been held under house arrest for months and was freed earlier this month after he received bail in four other cases, including the investigation of the assassination of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.

A heartbreaking documentary by filmmaker and journalist Ziad Zafar on the disappeared people in Pakistan. Timely and to the point. Points to the two major factors that determine Pakistani politics - the American geo-strategic interests and the politico-economic interests of the military establishment. Important to note that religious extremism and sectarianism in Pakistan have always been the function of these two factors. The American selfish interests in the region and the failure of political process since the establishment of Pakistan are the real causes behind religious extremism. Busharrafs war on terror is failing. This war is itself a form of and a cause of growing terrorism in the region. Those individuals involved in militant organizations and terrorist activities should be brought to justice. But it should be done through given constitutional and criminal procedures instead of extra-judicial kidnappings and killings. Because illegitimate and unpopular power has its own logic. It does not distinguish between one type of body from the other - one type of citizen from another - militant or otherwise - when it comes to the question of preserving itself. The history of dictatorships in Pakistan - military or democratic - provide plenty of examples where in the name of National Integrity Development Islamization and more recently Curbing Islamic Extremism and War on Terror the state has suppressed dissent liberties and freedom of its citizens. Notice the list of missing people at the end of the documentary. Recognize the backgrounds of people through their names. Are they only what the Pakistani state likes to call the Islamic Militants. Or the list also includes the Baloch the Muhajir the Pashtoon the Sunni the Shia the Liberal the Human Rights Activist and the Journalist.

WARNING: This video may not be suitable for minors:-
A new footage showing the killing of a dozen civilians in Baghdad in 2007 by helicopter gunships.
The secret video, released by the whistleblower website WikiLeaks, shows US air crew hunting civilians in the streets of the Iraqi capital purportedly mistaking them for 'insurgents.'
US military service members laughed and cursed at their victims that included Reuters photojournalist Namir Noor-Eldeen, and his driver, Saeed Chmagh, who appear unarmed.
The footage shows US forces repeatedly firing on a group of civilians and then on a van that stopped to rescue one of the wounded.
The US military says the killings were in line with the law of armed conflict and its own 'rules of engagement.'
The video, shot from one of the two striking Apache helicopters, was obtained by Wikileaks despite the US Defense Department's blocking of an earlier attempt by Reuters to get hold of the footage via the Freedom of Information Act.

[13 June 2012] Russia will confront any US - led attack on Syria Webster Tarpley - English
Israel is apparently laying the groundwork for a possible military attack on Syria by alleging that Damascus could be using chemical weapons against the Syrian people. Tel Aviv has recently expressed concern about what it calls the use of chemical weapons in Syria. Israel says the weapons could fall into the wrong hands and that they may even be used by Syria to carry out an attack against Israeli forces. The pretext is being used to justify a possible military assault on Syria even if it means triggering a broader conflict across the region. Ayoob Kara, a senior member of the Israeli Likud Party led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, claimed in an interview with Israel Radio on June 9 that the Syrian government has used "chemical weapons against men, women, and children" during the past months of unrest in the country.
Press TV talks with Dr. Webster Griffin Tarpley, author and historian in Washington, to further shed light on the issue.

[22 June 2012] Water occupation - Remember Palestine - English
On December 13, 2011, the French National Assembly issued a 320-page report entitled, The Geopolitics of Water, which dedicated 20 pages to an alleged water war between Israelis and Palestinians. Employing the incendiary term apartheid, the report's lead author, Jean Glavany, accused Israel of usurping Palestinian water sources and showing favoritism to 450,000 settlers who purportedly use more water than 2.3 million Palestinians in the West Bank. This year the UN also reported from the 530 springs they surveyed in the West Bank 30, mostly in areas where Israel retains military control, were taken over by the settlers.
It added that Palestinians currently had limited access to 26 other springs where settlers had moved in and threatened to take control. This month, local security forces in Jenin said that the bulldozers destroyed the well near Beit ad village, north of Jenin. The well belonged to a Palestinian resident of Tubas and provided water for tens of acres in Beit Qad plain. Sources added that a handful of military machinery, supported by two bulldozers were in the area during the destruction of the well. The governor of Jenin, Talal Dweikat, denounced the destruction of the well which he described as designed to fight the rights of Palestinians. Dweikat also said that this issue has come to shape an important worry for all districts in Palestine, especially Jenin which has been suffering continuously from similar attacks.

[23 June 2012] Palestinians killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza - English
Israeli warplanes carried out a series of air raids in Gaza, targeting many positions across the blockaded coastal territory. People here are angry over what they say the silence of the international community for not taking any action to put pressure on Israel to end its military attacks. Press TV met Abu Shaban family who escaped unharmed after their house was targeted.
Israel has stepped up its assaults on Gaza over the recent days. The attacks have claimed over a dozen lives in Gaza since Monday. A number of Gazans, including at least one child, have been killed and many others injured in the latest Israeli attack.International activists say the world has to condemn Israel's military attacks on innocent Palestinians in Gaza and take decisive measures to end the suffering of Gaza's 1.7 million.Israel frequently carries out air raids and conducts ground incursions in Gaza. The blockaded coastal enclave has been cut of from the outside world as Israel controls Gaza's border crossings, airspace and territorial waters, turning the impoverished territory into the world's largest open air prison.

[24 July 2012] US Israel seek to launch more wars in Mideast - English
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says Tel Aviv will "have to act" to prevent a possible transfer of chemical weapons from Syria to Lebanon.
In an interview on "Fox News Sunday," Netanyahu said the need for an intervention may arise in case of the collapse of the Syrian government.
"So I think that this is something we'll have to act to stop if the need arises. And the need might arise if there's a regime collapse," the Israeli premier said.
He made the comments a few days after Israeli Minister of Military Affairs Ehud Barak made similar remarks.
Barak said that "the moment (Syrian President Bashar al-Assad) starts to fall we will conduct intelligence monitoring and will liaise with other agencies."
"Israel cannot accept a situation where advanced weapons systems are transferred from Syria to Lebanon," he said.
This is while Israel has intensified its military buildup in the occupied Golan Heights near the Syrian border.
Press TV has conducted an interview with Dr. Randy Short, with the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, from Washington, to further discuss the issue.

Protesters took to the streets around the Turkish parliament on Thursday, chanting, \\\"We don\\\'t want war!\\\" and \\\"The Syrian people are our brothers!\\\"
The Turkish parliament was deliberating on a motion that would allow military operations in Syria if the government considers them as necessary.

Egypt\'s military-backed government has delayed a referendum on the constitution without giving a reason for it.
Interim Prime Minister Hazem el-Beblawi says he expects the referendum to be held in the second half of January, not next month as previously expected. The new constitution, now being drafted, is expected to curb the influence of Islamic laws and ease a ban on Mubarak-era officials to run for office. The interim government was installed after the army ousted the country\'s first democratically elected President Mohamed Morsi in July. Since then, Egypt has been the scene of rowdy protests, mostly against the military. Security forces have frequently clashed with Morsi supporters.

What is the American definition of a disobedient country?
And what is the American policy for a disobedient country?
Why is a military attack not a priority for the Americans anymore?
Besides, what are some of the malicious and hostile methods that America uses against a country when it cannot attack it militarily?
How does America overthrow a government they dislike without launching a military attack against it?
Furthermore, who activated and backed the various terrorist groups that have ravaged Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria and shed innocent blood for years?
And finally, how did the Iranian nation thwart the various types of attacks launched by America and foil its plans to overthrow the Islamic Republic system?
The Leader of the Muslim Ummah, Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei, talks about the evil nature of the American regime and dissects the malicious methods used by the American government against countries that refuse to comply with its demands.
