Verily Allah is the best Creator. Marine life must adopt an array of disguises if they are to keep out of trouble. From sand-skimming flounders with their chameleon-like skin to pigment seahorses virtually undetectable nestled in sea fans, their ability to impersonate and deceive are critical to evading the predators of the deep. Thirteen years ago British Gas drilled the Gaza Marine-1 and Gaza Marine-2 wells, thirty kilometers off the coast of Gaza. The drilling led to the discovery of a massive natural gas field: with 1.4 trillion cubic feet of proven gas reserves. In 2011 Tel-Aviv authorized the U.S-based Noble Energy, a crude oil and gas exploration giant, to begin developing the field. But the Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR) says the offshore field belongs to the Palestinians. Because of the Israeli blockade, Palestinians don\'t have enough cooking gas in the coastal enclave. They aren\'t allowed to develop or tap into their own gas fields either.

In this edition of the show Susan interviews Karen Greenberg, author of The Least Worst Place.
In her recent book The Least Worst Place, she offers a gripping narrative account of the first one hundred days of Guantanamo.
Greenberg, one of America's leading experts on the Bush Administration's policies on terrorism, tells the story through a group of career officers who tried and ultimately failed to stymie the Pentagon's desire to implement harsh new policies in Guantanamo and bypass the Geneva Conventions.
She outlines how the US has systematically violated all rules and norms of the Geneva Conventions and has made Guantanamo a lawless prison camp.
In this narrative of the earliest days of the post-9/11 era centers on the conflicts Gitmo-based Marine officers confess about faulty intelligence.
Ultimately from Bush to Obama transparency is replaced with secrecy, military protocol with violations of basic operation procedures, and humane and legal detainee treatment with harsh interrogation methods and torture.
Greenberg's riveting account puts a human face on this little-known story, revealing how America first lost its moral bearings in the wake of 9/11

Iranian presidential candidate Gholam Ali Haddad-Adel has underscored the importance of national unity and resistance as the keys to render ineffective the West\'s economic embargoes against Iran.
\"We should join hands and prove that, as we didn\'t bow to the enemy during the eight years of the [Iraqi-] imposed war, we won\'t give up in this economic war either, and we will manage our lives in a way that will turn these economic sanctions and economic threats into opportunities, God willing,\" Haddad-Adel said during a Thursday campaign speech in Tehran.
\"The latest plot that the enemies have hatched is the [imposition of] economic sanctions. They\'ve imposed sanctions on oil, on the Central Bank [of Iran], on money transactions, on marine transportation, on insurance. They did whatever they could to place the [Iranian] nation under economic pressure,\" Haddad-Adel added.

Somalia is witnessing yet another day of deadly violence. A car blast in the capital has left at least two people dead.
A lawmaker identified as Warsame Faysal and a driver were killed in the blast that rocked the entrance of the presidential palace in Mogadishu. Witnesses say the explosives were planted under the car and went off when the driver got into it. Violence in Somalia has been on the rise ahead of the elections in January. On Thursday, a vehicle packed with explosives rammed into two pick-up trucks carrying Marine Forces in a busy market area in the northern Puntland region, leaving nine people dead and nearly 40 others injured.
