Last week, the army marched in another 3,500 soldiers to tighten the security for Londoners. "There are already signs all over the place warning drivers not to venture in the central London and the underground stations are festooned with posters warning of the mayhem to come," said George Galloway. The journalist says in Arabic - It is the farewell kiss you dog A journalist has thrown a pair of shoes at George W. Bush, as the President arrived in Baghdad on an unannounced farewell visit to Iraq. The Iraqi journalist threw the shoes, when the US president was shaking hands with the Iraqi prime minister Nuri al-Maliki in his office in Baghdad on Sunday, AFP reported. The Iraqi who was sitting in the third row 'jumped up' shouting "It is the farewell kiss, you dog," the report says. He then threw his shoes one after the other towards Bush. The president was reportedly not hurt, as the shoes did not hit him. Iraqi security staff 'frogmarched' the journalist out. Bush arrived in Baghdad on Sunday on what has been called a farewell trip to a country which has cost the US thousands of military servicemen and billions of dollars. Five years of invasion has killed tens of thousands of Iraqis, while according to Human Rights Watch during the deposed Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein's reign, 250,000 to 290,000 people were killed over 20 years.

According to the findings of laboratory research conducted at the Institute de Radiophysique in Lausanne, Switzerland, Arafat was poisoned by polonium, a rare, highly radioactive element, al-Jazeera reported on Tuesday. "I can confirm that we measured an unexplained, elevated amount of unsupported polonium-210 in the belongings of Mr. Arafat that contained stains of biological fluids," said Dr. Francois Bochud, the director of the institute. Bochud stated that the tests focused on biological samples taken from his belongings, which were given to his wife Suha Arafat by the hospital in Paris where he died. "If (Suha Arafat) really wants to know what happened to her husband (we need) to find a sample -- I mean, an exhumation... should provide us with a sample that should have a very high quantity of polonium if he was poisoned," he added. Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) leader Yasser Arafat died on November 11, 2004, following several weeks of medical treatment. At the time, French officials refused to reveal the exact cause of his death on grounds of privacy laws, fueling rumors that the Mossad had poisoned him with thallium, another radioactive element.

However, the UN refugee agency has snubbed the idea of setting up refugee camps to accommodate the Rohingyas. "We will send them away if any third country would accept them," Sein added. "This is what we are thinking is the solution to the issue." The UN says decades of discrimination have left the Rohingyas stateless, with Myanmar implementing restrictions on their movement and withholding land rights, education and public services.

[1] Mystery of Egypt Sinai border attacks with George Galloway - 10 Aug 2012 - English On Sunday, unknown gunmen opened fire on the Egyptian border security guards at a checkpoint near the Karm Abu Salem border crossing, killing at least 16 security personnel and injuring several others. Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi called an emergency meeting with the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces following the incident on Sunday, the Egyptian state media reported. "President Morsi says that this cowardly attack will not go without a response... and that those who committed this crime will pay dearly," said a statement issued late on Sunday by the Egyptian president's office. After killing the border guards at a checkpoint near the Karm Abu Salem border crossing, the militants, who were wearing traditional Bedouin clothing, seized two armored vehicles and quickly drove off the scene. Witnesses said the militants also fired rocket-propelled grenades at the Egyptian army checkpoint. Meanwhile, an official of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas declared that, "The border between Egypt and Gaza is protected. We closed the tunnels to prevent anyone from escaping (into Gaza) and we have put our forces on alert." In Israel, a spokesman for the armed forces said that one of the vehicles exploded while trying to cross the Rafah border. The other vehicle was reportedly hit by an Israeli airstrike. Egypt has been trying to secure its borders following last year's revolution, which resulted in the ouster of Hosni Mubarak.

In an interview with Jordanian paper al-Ghad, Galloway rejected accusations that the recent unrest in Lebanon is 'the product of an Iranian conspiracy in a bid to dominate the region'. "I consider spraying the sand in the public eye is aimed at misrepresenting the vision of reality that leaders of Arab countries support the US and imperialist forces," he said.
