A rocket has been fired from Gaza to Israel after Israeli forces shot and wounded a 16-year old Palestinian in the northern Gaza Strip.
The rocket fell in an open area in Eshkol Regional Council. An explosion was reportedly heard in the nearby area but no injuries or damage has been reported. The missile came several hours after a Palestinian teen was shot in the leg in Jabalia. The Israeli military claims the teenager was seen damaging a fence. Attacks by Israeli forces on Palestinians have recently escalated. On Sunday, two people were wounded by Israeli tank shells in central Gaza.

The Israeli government denies its soldiers used live ammunition during a demonstration in the occupied West Bank on Saturday.
The army issued a statement saying its soldiers only fired rubber coated steel bullets against what they described as a "violent and illegal riot" in the village.
However, men died when they were hit by what doctors say were live rounds.
Israel reportedly plans to launch an investigation.

Chris Comer, Director of Science for the Texas Education Agency for nine years, was forced to resign after forwarding an e-mail, adding only \\\"FYI\\\", which announced a public lecture by NCSE board member Barbara Forrest, an expert witness in the Kitzmiller v. Dover trial. We are here to call out Ben Stein and his ludicrous ideas that are the spotlight of his new movie Expelled, about Intelligent Design. Expelled is a manipulation of lies that repackages religious creationism as Intelligent Design and teaches it as science in public schools. We must stand up to keep religion out of our public schools\\\' science education.

Egyptian security forces have fired tear gas at dozens of university students outside their Cairo campus. The violence broke out when the students tried to reach the nearby Defense Ministry building.
Dozens of students pelted security forces with rocks, while some picked up tear gas canisters and threw them back. The students were demonstrating outside Ain Shams University in eastern Cairo as part of a widening protest movement at universities against the military-backed government. With these actions, supporters of ousted president Mohamed Morsi have been keeping up the pressure on the authorities. Demonstrations have been held at Al-Azhar University and the University of Cairo in recent months.

In Bahrain, regime forces have once again used force against protesters.
Regime forces fired tear gas and birdshot at a funeral procession for a young Bahraini protester, identified as Fadhil Abbas Muslim. He was shot earlier this month. Scores of people have been killed and many more injured since a popular uprising against the rule of the Al Khalifah family broke out in the Arab kingdom about three years ago. And dozens of activists have been imprisoned for attending demonstrations. International human rights organizations have repeatedly criticized the Manama regime for its excessive use of force against peaceful protesters.

Foreign-backed insurgents in Syria have reportedly massacred at least 30 civilians in Idlib province.
The killings took place as members of an al-Qaeda-linked group-- known as the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant-- fired a series of mortar shells on Kafteen village. The insurgents in a separate incident also fired mortar shells on a town in Hasakah province. The attack primarily targeted a police station and led to the injury of a number of civilians. Locals say they\'ve seen some people vomiting after the shelling-- in what could be a sign of a chemical attack.
