Iran tests radars on 3rd day of drills
Iran's military has entered the third day of its biggest ever nationwide air drills, with testing radar capabilities in defending the country's territory.
The anti-air defense units from Iran's Armed Forces and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) are taking part in the five-day air defense maneuvers dubbed Defenders of Velayat Skies, which began on Tuesday.
According to the spokesman for the military drills Brigadier Hamid Arzhangi, various kinds of fixed and mobile radars that have been domestically manufactured or refurbished would be tested during the third day of the drills on Thursday.
He further explained that radars would be used to detect and identify objects and pass relevant data to the operational units.
The military official added that all types of the country's radar systems, which would relay intelligence to the unified command and control network of the central headquarters, would be utilized and examined during the third day of the maneuvers.
He pointed out that reconnaissance missions to detect state-of-the-art systems of theatrical enemies using radars were also on the agenda of the third day of drills.
During the second day of the maneuvers on Wednesday, advanced equipment used for communication and exchange of intelligence along with modern electro-optical systems were successfully tested and utilized.
The air maneuvers are being held near Iran's strategic sights and landmarks, aiming to assess performance of new air defense systems and enhance rapid response capabilities in countering potential aerial attacks.
Iranian military officials say the drills convey a message of peace and friendship to neighboring countries and a fierce warning against enemies.
Iran simulates Electronic Warfare in drills
An Iranian commander says the Air Force has "analyzed and conducted" Electronic Warfare (EW) missions during the first three days of its biggest defense drills.
"EW means jamming the enemies' electronic systems, equipment, and capabilities and the mission of this war is to seize and control electromagnetic fields," Colonel Moharam Qolizadeh said on Thursday.
"We have analyzed and conducted EW missions in the drills [dubbed] 'Modafean Aseman Velayt 3' (Guardians of Velayati Skies)," he added.
The colonel said the maneuvers were aimed at "spotting [the enemy] without being spotted" and tapping the enemy communications lines without compromising transmissions by Iranian forces.
Earlier on Thursday, the spokesman for the military drills Brigadier General Hamid Arzhangi said Iran had successfully tested a new generation of its first domestically-manufactured air defense system during the third day of the nationwide air drills.
The Mersad (Ambush) modern medium-range system is capable of spotting and destroying advanced aircraft at low and high altitudes.
In addition to its high mobility, Mersad's new generation can be used in electronic warfare and can be networked with other radar and defense systems, Arzhangi added.
The forces were also set to test various models of fixed and mobile radars that have been domestically manufactured or refurbished.
Air defense units from Iran's Armed Forces and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) are taking part in the five-day air maneuvers.

Iran unveils home-built combat drone, Iran unveils its first domestically-manufactured long-range Unmanned Aerial Vehicle UAV in a ceremony marking Defense Industry Day in the country.
The unveiling of the home-made drone, named Karrar took place in the presence of Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and a number of defense officials.
The Karrar UAV is capable of carrying a military payload of rockets to carry out bombing missions against ground targets. It is also capable of flying long distances at a very high speed.
Iran's defense industries have demonstrated spectacular progress in the recent year, launching numerous domestically-built armaments, including aerial and sea-borne military vehicles such as submarines, combat frigates, and various types of missiles.
Iran inaugurated the production line of two domistically-built UAVs with bombing and reconnaissance capabilities.
The two hi-tech drones named 'Ra'd' (Thunder) and 'Nazir' (Harbinger) are capable of performing long-range reconnaissance, patrolling, assault and bombing missions with high precision.
Ra'd, a UAV especially designed for assault and bombing missions, has the capability to destroy specific targets with high precision.
Tehran established an arms development program during the 1980-88 war that Iraq waged against Iran to counter the weapons embargo imposed on it by the US and its Western allies. Since 1992, Iran has manufactured its own tanks, armored personnel carriers, missiles and fighter planes.
Iran successfully tested a home-made radar-evading UAV with bombing capabilities in June 2009.
In 2008, the Islamic Republic's Defense Industries launched production lines of two home-built fighter jets, namely Saeqeh (Thunderbolt) and Azarakhsh (Lightening).

Iran's navy on Wednesday (28th November) launched anew, domestically made Ghadir-class light submarine in the waters of the Gulf, local Fars news agency reported.
The submarine outfitted with the latest military and technological equipment was launched in a ceremony on the occasion of the Navy Day in a military base in Bandar Abbas, the report said.
The new Ghadir-class light submarine was designed and manufactured by the Iranian industrial universities with 10 years of work, according to the report.
The submarine's capabilities are equal to those of foreign types and due to its light weight, it is able to carry out missions at a very high speed, Iranian navy experts were quoted assaying.
Iran's official media had reported that the new Ghadir-class light submarine can fire missiles and torpedoes simultaneously and operate with sonar-avoiding capability.
According to foreign military experts, Iran's inventory of submarines patrolling Gulf waters includes at least three Russian-built Kilo-class diesel submarines.

Iran Unveils Iranian "S-300" on Army Day
During the military parade on Army Day in Iran, what looks very much like an Iranian variant of the Russian S-300 air defense system was on display.
In 2007, Tehran announced that it signed a contract to buy S-300 from Russia, but Moscow, lobbied by Washington and Tel Aviv, has not delivered, citing "technical problems." From Moscow's point of view, S-300, as long as it remains in contract but undelivered, is, like the Bushehr nuclear reactor, a great bargaining chip vis-Ã -vis the West, which Tehran can see.
In February this year, it was reported that Air Force commander Heshmatollah Kassiri said "a new domestically-made air defense system" would be unveiled "in the near future." What is seen in the video and the photograph above is probably just that. The question is whether Iran can make it "as powerful as the S-300 system," as Mr. Kassiri asserted it would be.

Army Day is being celebrated in Iran. A parade early this morning (Monday) by troops from the country's ground, naval, and air forces was held to showcase their latest achievements.
A large portion of a domestically-made air defense system was also expected to be displayed. The nation's Defense Minister has said military equipment upgrades are one of the key strategies of his office. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad addressed the soldiers before the march.
He said the West is creating regional conflict, in order to sell arms, and called on nearby countries to remain vigilant. He also claimed the US wants to generate tension between Iranians and Arabs, to create a sectarian conflict. He added that regional security requires honest cooperation between nations in the Middle East.
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Iranian President, said, "The United States is not an honest friend, experience show remain vigilant."

The Islamic Republic of Iran successfully launches its second satellite christened Rassad (Observation) into the earth's orbit.
The satellite, which is the country's first such imaging device, was launched by the Safir-e-Rassad satellite carrier on Wednesday thanks to Iranian aerospace scientists and experts' endeavor, IRNA reported.
Despite its 15.3-kilogram weight, which puts it under the category of the micro-satellites, Rassad has all features of a big satellite.
It has undergone all the stages required for its designing, manufacturing, assembly, test and preparation for launch inside the country.
It will orbit the earth at an altitude of 260 kilometers 15 times every 24 hours.
Its mission is to take images of the earth's surface and relay them to the earth-based stations together with telemetric information.
The satellite is equipped with solar panels and uses solar energy to work.
Iran launched its first domestically-produced satellite Omid (Hope) in 2009, which made it the ninth country to develop satellite launch capability.
Tehran also plans to launch the country's first manned mission to space by 2019.

Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps' (IRGC) has begun its military drill, the Great Prophet 7, by firing indigenously made missiles at hypothetical enemy bases.
On Tuesday, IRGC's long, medium and short-range missiles targeted "simulations of the trans-regional forces' airbases" in the northern Semnan Desert.
The domestically-produced missiles include Shahab (Meteor) 1, 2, 3, Khalij Fars (Persian Gulf), Tondar (Lightning), Fateh (Victor) and Zelzal (Quake) as well as Qiam (Uprising).
Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast says the ongoing drill in the central sector of the country is intended to convey a message of sovereignty and full preparedness to establish security in the Persian Gulf as well as the Strait of Hormuz.
Press TV has conducted an interview with Nader Mokhtari, a columnist and commentator, to further talk over the issue.

One year after taking office, Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi is facing pressure from all sides.
It appears that Morsi is losing support rapidly, whether it is domestically or internationally. Many Egyptians say he is rigid and has not kept his pre-election promises of improving the economy and establishing security.
Meantime, supporters of Morsi say that he was democratically elected and must be given a chance. All this as security is deteriorating and violence increasing in Morsi\\\'s Egypt, one year after the fact.

Tensions in Egypt are running high as people defy a new ban on unauthorized protests and take to the streets in major cities. Clashes between security forces and supporters of the ousted president have left dozens injured. Many more have been detaind.
Violence broke out after Mohamed Morsi\'s supporters joined protests dubbed the Friday of Retribution to denounce the new anti-protest law and demand the ousted president\'s reinstatement. Clashes in Cairo erupted after police fired tear gas to disperse people joining the funeral of a university student killed in a protest on Thursday. Similar violence has been reported in Alexandria, Giza and the Nile Delta. The mass rallies come despite warnings from authorities of a firm response to any unauthorized protests. Under the new law, protest organizers are obliged to get permission for protests and hand in the names and addresses of all the people planning to join. The new law is under scrutiny both domestically and internationally.

In an extensive interview with Masseer Especial Journal--which belongs to Khamenei.ir-- Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah pointed out formerly undisclosed facts regarding relations between Lebanon\'s Hezbollah and the Islamic Republic of Iran as well as Imam Khamenei\'s command of international issues. The first and second part of the interview have been published over the past few days. In the third part of the interview, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah makes reference to a letter by Imam Khamenei which was deliver to him through General Ghasem Soleimani before the war with the Zionist Regime began.
The 33-day war was a good test to see how powerful Israel is and how powerful Hezbollah and the axis of Resistance are as opposed to it. At some point, the Israeli army attacked several Arab countries and defeated them in a 6-day war. In the 33-day war, the Zionist army’s attacks on Hezbollah\'s sites as well as on the innocent people in southern Lebanon were severe, but these attacks ultimately failed, and it seems that this war and the resulting victory became a turning point in the history of the region. What is your analysis of this war, and the defeat that Israel suffered as it failed to achieve its goals. In other words, what directions will it lead Tel Aviv to?
We can discuss it more broadly and refer to the aftermath of the 9/11 and the emergence of Neo-Conservatives in the U.S., i.e. the George Bush era; because the war on Lebanon was part of the same project and a bigger plan. It was at this point where the importance of the leadership role of Ayatollah Khamenei in the region became increasingly evident. George Bush and his associates used the 9/11 incident as the excuse to attack the countries of the region; fir they had the intention of conducting such attacks even prior to the 9/11. They chose to target Iraq on the pretext of possessing weapons of mass destruction. However, after the 9/11, they had to go to Afghanistan first and then move to Iraq.
So an American project opened in the years 2000 and 2001. Washington believe that the peace process in the region between Arabs and Israel had declined. The Resistance achieved a major victory in Lebanon, and consequently Israel retreated from southern Lebanon. Iran also became more and more powerful both in terms of its domestic affairs and in the whole region. This was a great victory for Lebanon, Syria, Iran, and even Palestinian resistance groups. Iran was also becoming more power day after day both domestically and regionally. After seeing these events, the U.S. decided to have an extensive military presence in the region so that, firstly they could pursue their interests, by gaining dominance over the oil resources and natural resources of the countries; secondly, they could impose a solution on the region that would benefit Israel and fixate its existence.
To achieve this goal, they needed to eliminate any obstacle. These obstacles Resistance in Palestine, Resistance in Lebanon, the Syrian government, and Iran. This was the project they were pursuing. All documents and evidence prove that. Well, after the 9/11, they had to go to Afghanistan, because the determining part of the neo-cons and George Bush’s project included encircling Iran and isolating it. The U.S. troops based in Pakistan, their forces in the Persian Gulf countries and the Persian Gulf waters as well as their forces based in Syria and the some neighboring countries were deployed to Afghanistan and then Iraq to complete the encircling of Iran.

The slogan \"Death to America\" has been around for almost 40 or so years and its popularity continues to increase amongst the people of the world.
What are just some of the experiences that logically lead us to shout out \"Death to America\"?
And what are just some of the general lessons learned about the United States of America via the JCPOA?
Finally, what is the result of trusting the West and the United States of America?
And by the way, if you yourselves look into the past and present actions and behaviors of the United States of America, both domestically and internationally, you too will say in unison, \"Death to America!\"
So don\'t be afraid to say \"Death to America\", because everyone else is already saying it loud and proud.

What was \"Mahsa Amini\'s Case & The Media Onslaught Against Iran\" all about?
What is the only way that most people are able to know about what is going on inside Iran?
What is one of the underlying principles of the Zio-western media empire?
Who was 21-year old Shaheed Arman Aliverdi, and why haven\'t you heard about him?
And how does the story of Shaheed Arman Aliverdi prove that the world\'s media outlets control the information that you receive?
What is \'media terrorism\' and how does it apply to the situation of Shaheed Arman Aliverdi, the martyrs of the Shah Cheragh terrorist attacks, and ultimately, Shaheed Haj Qasem Soleimani (R)?
Who was 6-year-old Shaheed Arsham Seraydaran, and again, why don\'t you know about him?
Does this controlling of the information that you receive, not an absolutely clear example of the shameless hypocrisy of the mass media and even social media?
How many people know about the terrorist bomb blast that occurred on Sept. 30, 2020, in the city of Kabul, Afghanistan, which killed at least 53 people, of whom 46 were young girls and women, and wounded more than 110 others?
Is this blatant hypocrisy not infuriating, when so-called defenders of women\'s rights have so much to say over the death of one Ms. Mahsa Amini, but completely overlook the murder of 46 innocent young girls and women?
Why does Islamic Pulse not have an official \'Youtube\' channel?
Despite the safety within the Islamic Republic of Iran, why is it that many common people in the world think that the Islamic Republic of Iran is about to collapse due to riots, and what role does the mass media play in this?
How do the terms \'shadow banning\', \'click farms\', \'click bots\', and \'algorithms\' play in social media platforms and in the promotion or censoring of content?
What is the connection between \'Albania\', the \'MEK/MKO\', and \"The Massive Media Onslaught Against Iran\"?
What are some other examples of instances where the stances in opposition to the stances of the Zio-Western empire are censored and silenced?
Apart from the international propaganda and lies pushed forth by the Zio-Western media empire against the Islamic Republic of Iran, what do they do domestically, within the Islamic Republic of Iran?
What are the names of just a few of the news outlets that are funded, sponsored, and hosted by the Arrogant Powers that broadcast in the Persian language?
Approximately, how much is the annual budget of these news outlets that are funded by the Arrogant Powers, and how much does this official investment total per year?
If the forces of evil can use social media and mass media for the promotion of falsehood, why can\'t the forces of Truth use social media and mass media to promote Truth?
And finally, why was there such a massive media onslaught against the Islamic Republic of Iran as regards to the Ms. Mahsa Amini case?
To answers these questions and more, we humbly invited Shaykh Ali Qomi from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, to sit down with us and speak a little bit about, \"Mahsa Amini\'s Case & The Media Onslaught Against Iran\".
