Sheikh Hassoun made the remark during a visit to the Islamic University of Moscow. Hassoun said from the beginning of the unrest in Syria more than two-thousand Russian nationals, mostly of Chechnya origin, have moved to Syria to fight the government there. He\'s added that a large number of those people have been killed so far and Damascus estimates that some 1300 of them are still operating inside Syria. The U-S spying scandal continues to cause outrage among Washington\'s allies. Now, Madrid has opened a preliminary inquiry into allegations the U-S spied on Spanish citizens.
The prosecutor\'s office will investigate whether a crime was committed and if Spain should consider opening a formal investigation. The announcement comes a day after Spanish media published documents revealing that the U-S National Security Agency monitored over 60 million phone calls in the country within one month. Spain has warned that mutual trust between Madrid and Washington could be damaged if the allegations prove to be true. Spain is among several other countries who\'ve summoned U-S ambassadors to demand an explanation. European countries have also announced they will send a nine-member delegation to Washington to seek answers regarding the N-S-A\'s spying activities against European citizens and officials.

Syria: The August 25th massacre of civilians in Daraya left more than 200 people dead. [The Western media blamed the murders on the Syrian army and has used this to create support for a NATO attack on Syria to topple its present regime. However, eye witnesses say that rebel gangs, mostly from outside Syria, were the killers and that the army has done its best to protect citizens.

US citizens fed up with israel - 24 Jan 2013 - English

The Americans including the Jewish citizens, are really getting fed up with Israel\'s violations of Palestinians\' rights as they get more informed thanks to the Internet, says an analyst. The Palestinian Authority (PA) has threatened to take legal action against Israel at the International Criminal Court (ICC) if the Tel Aviv regime builds new settler units on the occupied Palestinian land. The move comes as the Zionist regime of Israel is planning to build new settler units in a Palestinian area called E1 outside the suburbs of East al-Quds (Jerusalem). More than half a million Israelis live in over 120 illegal settlements built since Israel\'s occupation of the Palestinian territories of the West Bank and East al-Quds in 1967. The UN and most countries regard the Israeli settlements as illegal because the territories were captured by Israel in a war in 1967 and are hence subject to the Geneva Conventions, which forbids construction on occupied lands.
Press TV has conducted an interview with Paul Larudee, Co-Founder of Free Palestine Movement to further discuss the issue at hand.

This is the main entrance of Pakistan\'s federal Parliament. The families of the missing citizens blocked the main gate to protest against the controversial presidential decree to provide blanket immunity to the military and intelligence agencies for all the past kidnappings of thousands of citizens. The illegal handing over of citizens to the US has also been legalized under the cover of so-called war on terror.
Under this controversial decree, the security agencies can now arrest any one for a long period of time--- something Pakistani intelligence agencies have been doing illegally since 9/11.

Judge Napolitano and Rand Paul discuss the unconstitutional bill now being considered by Congress, and widely supported by both Republicans and Democrats, that would strip American citizens of the right of due process. If you don't like what the politicians are doing, you could be classified as a terrorist or enemy combatant and spend the rest of your life in a military prison. This is deadly serious

Cultural Organization in Baghadhas organized a conference to protest against the US-produced film with a negative depiction of the holy Prophet of Islam.
It was attended by ordinary citizens, officials, tribal leaders and clerics.
They also warn about the aims of the makers of such insulting film.
The film has sparked harsh reactions in Muslim world and across the world.
People here say only such trends could come to an end only through spreading Islamic awakening across the world.
