[06 July 2012] Bahrain revolution still alive - English
The Persian Gulf Island of Bahrain has experienced near daily anti-govt. protests for more than 16 months, but you don't hear an outcry from Western countries like the US, or the international community for that matter over the situation there, unlike their reaction to Syria. The Bahraini regime even arrested an 11 year old boy recently for taking part in demonstrations.

Bahrain\'s opposition group say they\'re going to continue their boycott of a national dialog over the Manama regime\'s ongoing crackdown on dissent.
They\'ve stressed that the recent release of the leader of the main opposition bloc, al-Wefaq, is not enough for them to return to the national dialog. This, just days after a Bahraini court ordered the release of Khalil al-Marzuq and said his case will be reviewed in mid-December. Marzuq was charged with encouraging anti-regime violence in the tiny island state in the Persian Gulf. He has rejected the charges. His arrest had prompted the Shia-led opposition to suspend political talks with the regime. Bahrain has been the scene of almost-daily protests against the regime since mid-February 2011, despite a heavy-handed crackdown on pro-democracy rallies.

Fresh crackdown in Bahrain. Regime forces have arrested yet another prominent female rights activist and lawyer there.
Amira al-Bahrani was abducted during a nighttime raid on her house in the city of Sanabis. We do not have any information about why she was arrested or her whereabouts. 7 other activists were also detained by regime forces in separate raids in A\'ali area near the capital Manama. No further details have been provided about those raids either. The Al Khalifah regime is under fire for its harsh crackdown on rights activists and pro-democracy protesters. The kingdom has been gripped by anti-monarchy rallies since February 20-11.

The revolution in Bahrain gained momentum. You may remember the Bahrain Independent Commission of Inquiry, set up by the Al-Khalifa regime recently to investigate reports of rights abuse during the crackdown.
The Commission's findings accused the regime of using excessive force, cited rights abuses, and called for steps to be taken for these incidents not to occur.
Yet this past week, Saudi-backed forces yet again attacked anti-regime protesters, injuring dozens. In one example, police arrested human rights activist Zainab al-Khawaja near the capital Manama. Zainab's relatives said she'd been handcuffed, dragged and beaten by the police.

[22 May 2012] Bahrain HR breach embarrassing for US - English
Bahraini protesters in several villages near the capital, Manama, have held demonstrations against the US support for the Al Khalifa regime. Anti-regime demonstrators took to the streets in several villages near Manama on Monday, carrying placards that read, "Death to America" and "Down with King Hamad," referring to the Bahraini monarch. The demonstrators censured Washington for ignoring the Bahraini regime's violation of rights of the peaceful protesters.

Tens of thousands of Saudi Arabian protesters have held a demonstration against the Al Saud regime in the Qatif region of oil-rich Eastern Province.
The protester chanted slogans against the Al Saud regime, calling for its downfall. The mass rally comes a few days after Saudi forces killed at least three protesters in the region.
The oil-rich eastern province has been the scene of protests after the forceful detention of a prominent Shia cleric. In Iran, protests backed by the state have been organised against plans to form a European Union-style bloc amongst the Gulf states. Two key American allies, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain would be the first Arab Gulf nations to sign an agreement. Iran has called the idea a U.S.-backed plot to see Bahrain become part of Saudi Arabia. Bahrain has seen anti-government protests for more than a year, with fears now the potential union could strengthen the position of the Sunni rulers over a largely Shia population. Professor Seyed Mohammad Marandi, from the University of Tehran, says it's the Saudi royal family, together with Washington that will benefit.

A Bahraini court has sentenced 16 Shia activists to seven years in prison each for taking part in anti-government protests.
This is the latest in a series of convictions the Bahraini regime has imposed against protesters - among them prominent rights activist Nabil Rajab. Rajab was arrested in late 2012 and is currently serving a two-year sentence. Rights groups have repeatedly called for his release but Bahraini authorities have refused to free him from jail. The arrests and trials come against the backdrop of unabated protests in the Persian Gulf Kingdom against the rule of the Al Khalifah monarchy.

Dozens of delegates have walked out of a United Nations conference on racism after Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Iran's president, described Israel as a "racist government".
Ahmadinejad told delegates at the summit in Switzerland on Monday, that after the Second World War the United States and other nations had established a "cruel, oppressive and racist regime in occupied Palestine".
"The UN security council has stabilised this occupation regime and supported it in the last 60 years giving them a free hand to continue their crimes," he told delegates at the Durban Review Conference hall in Geneva.
Dozens of diplomats from countries including Britain and France left the hall in protest as he made the remarks.
Ahmadinejad also asked the conference: "What were the root causes of the US attacks against Iraq or invasion of Afghanistan?
"The Iraqi people have suffered enormous losses ... wasn't the military action against Iraq planned by the Zionists ... in the US administration, in complicity with the arms manufacturing companies?".
Many delegates who remained in the hall applauded Ahmadinejad's comments.

Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei categorically denied Iran's interference in Bahrain, but meantime stressed Iran's direct involvement in the Palestinian and Lebanese confrontation against Israel, including the Lebanese Summer 2006 33-day resistance against the Zionist regime.

[10 July 2012] Saudi Arabia can stop ongoing revolution - English
Security forces in Saudi Arabia have killed three demonstrators in the country's Eastern Province, which has been a major scene of anti-regime protests over the past months.
The Riyadh regime forces opened fire on a demonstration in the Qatif region of the province on Sunday.
Two of the victims were identified as Akbar Hassan Shakhouri and Mohammedredha Felfel, who were among the protesters demonstrating against the detention of prominent Shia cleric Sheikh Nemr al-Nemr, who was attacked in his car upon arrest earlier in the day.
Several other protesters were also injured in the deadly incident.
Since February 2011, protesters have held demonstrations on an almost regular basis in Saudi Arabia, mainly in Qatif and the town of Awamiyah in the Eastern Province, calling for the release of all political prisoners, freedom of expression and assembly, and an end to widespread discrimination.

Toronto Holds Massive Al-Quds Rally, Video- 03Aug2013 - All Languages

Like their counterparts in 770 cities in 80 countries of the world, thousands of Torontonians took to the streets on the International Day of Al-Quds to denounce Zionism and express their complete solidarity with the brutally oppressed, indigenous population of Palestine. The rally in Toronto was led by Jewish rabbis, activists from Independent Jewish Voices and other Jews who want to reclaim the hijacked faith of Judaism from the Zionist extremists. The rally also featured representatives from 150 peace organizations, labor movements, churches, mosques and human rights groups.
The attendees, which comprised of men women and children of all ages and faiths, carried signs like \\\\\\\"We Love Jews, Not Zionists\\\\\\\", \\\\\\\"Yes to Islam, Christianity and Judaism, No to Zionism\\\\\\\", \\\\\\\"Yes to Torah, Bible and Quran, no to Zionism\\\\\\\", \\\\\\\"Yes to Moses, Jesus and Mohammad, No to Zionism\\\\\\\" and \\\\\\\"Criticism of Israel is Not Anti-Semitism\\\\\\\".
Various organizations representing the interests of Israel and settlers in Canada had lobbied hard to stop the rally and tried to intimidate people from attending it, however, their efforts failed miserably and the Toronto city witnessed one of the largest and most organized Al-Quds rallies ever held in the western hemisphere. Some extremists from the radical Zionist organization, JDL, and their Islamophobic hatemongering friends from the Sun News Network tried to harass the attendees but were not successful. The JDL has been designated the terrorist status by the FBI and represents the true face of Zionism and the settler mentality of arrogance, racism and bullying. An anchor of Sun News Network has advocated dropping a nuclear bomb on the civilian population of a Muslim country and their so-called journalists are always shamelessly trying to propagate the Zionist narrative about the indigenous Christians and Muslims of Palestine. However, initiatives like the Al-Quds day have taken the mask off the ugly face of Zionism and today Israel is more isolated in the world than ever before. At the recent UN vote, 174 nations voted against the Israeli position (http://muslimperspectives.com/?p=823, http://muslimperspectives.com/?p=685)
The Al-Quds rally organizers, speakers and participants vowed not to get intimidated by Zionist extremists and refused to allow them to turn Canada into one of the Israeli settlements. The Al-Quds rallies in Toronto and the world will continue to grow in future and peace and justice loving individuals will continue to give voice to the voiceless. The future of Israel will not be, and cannot be different from other oppressive regimes in history; whether it is the regime of the Pharaoh or Apartheid, those who commit heinous crimes against the innocent are bound to be defeated. It is high time that the larger Jewish community distances itself from this racist ideology and reclaim the beautiful faith of Judaism from these extremists.

The attendees, which comprised of men women and children of all ages and faiths, carried signs like \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"We Love Jews, Not Zionists\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\", \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"Yes to Islam, Christianity and Judaism, No to Zionism\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\", \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"Yes to Torah, Bible and Quran, no to Zionism\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\", \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"Yes to Moses, Jesus and Mohammad, No to Zionism\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" and \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"Criticism of Israel is Not Anti-Semitism\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\".
