The Pro Palestinian activists who are part of a growing popular international solidarity movement with the Palestinian people against the Israeli siege on the Gaza strip and the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories, were set to arrive to Ben Gurion international airport and from there travel to the occupied Palestinian territories. Israel's ministry of transport has submitted a list containing the names of 342 activists to foreign airlines with instructions to bar these activists from boarding their flights. But these activists say they have the right to leave their own borders, and Israel's actions are illegal. The organizers of the "Welcome to Palestine" campaign, otherwise known as "Fly in" had intended for these activists to come to the occupied Palestinian territories to see first hand the impact the Israeli occupation has on Palestinians. While waiting for the pro Palestinian activists to clear airport inspection, some Israeli left wing activists began shouting slogans against the Israeli occupation of Palestine and chanted Free Free Palestine. But they were quickly dragged away by the Israeli police. The welcome to Palestine campaign or the fly in, coincided with the second Gaza flotilla which until now is barred by the Greek authorities from setting sail towards the coast of Gaza. Tight screening has prevented most pro Palestinian activists from reaching their destination namely ben gurion airport. These activists say by preventing passengers from boarding their flights Israel is putting pressure on other countries to adopt its policies.

Egypt\'s public prosecutor has ordered the trial of three political activists on charges of protesting without permission and an alleged assault on police. Among those to stand trial is Ahmed Maher, the founder of the April 6 movement. The movement helped ignite the popular uprising in 2011 that led to the ouster of former dictator Hosni Mubarak. Still, no date has been fixed for the trial. But this is the first case of activists being charged under the provisions of a new, controversial protest law. The Interim President, Adly Mansour signed the Law in November. It bans gatherings of more than 10 people without prior permit. Critics have described the move as an attempt to stifle the right to public protest.

Human rights activists have condemned a new counter-terrorism law in Saudi Arabia. They say the law allows the kingdom to prosecute as a terrorist anyone who demands reform, exposes corruption or engages in dissent. The new law grants security services sweeping powers to track phone calls and raid homes without prior approval from a judge or even a superior. Human Rights activists say the law is aimed at keeping the kingdom\'s ruling al Saud firmly in control amid demands for democratic reforms. Saudi Arabia has adopted heavy handed tactics against pro-reform calls that have grown louder since the pro-democracy protests shook the region in 2011. Large numbers of Saudi dissidents have been put behind bars.

But according to Bahraini opposition members, he's also a sadistic torturer who's been personally involved in crushing anti-regime demonstrations by force. They also say he has cheer-led the persecution of Bahraini athletes opposed to the Al Khalifa dictatorship. Nasser bin Hamad is the King of Bahrain's 25 year old son. Activists say he can be seen here preparing to participate in quelling anti-regime demonstrations by force. According to the Bahraini opposition, anti-regime athletes have been abducted, taken to torture chambers and subjected to horrific treatment. And Nasser's voice can be heard here on Bahraini state TV, condemning calls for regime change in the country. With the Olympic Games around one month away the British government has banned the Syrian Olympic Committee chief from entering the country because of alleged links to repression in his country. But London hasn't taken the same steps against its Persian Gulf ally Bahrain. Saeed Shehabi, meanwhile, is calling for Nasser bin Hamad to be arrested for crimes against humanity if he sets foot on British soil. On the other hand, in a letter to the Guardian newspaper, Bahrain has denied the allegations against Nasser bin Hamad al Khalifa. Britain and Bahrain have close military, economic and political ties and this hasn't changed despite the al Khalifa crackdown on the opposition. But if Nasser bin Hamad al Khalifa is allowed to come to the Olympic Games it will shine a brighter spotlight on the UK's close ties with the Persian Gulf dictatorship.

Human Rights Activists and members of the international aid convoy known as \"Miles of Smiles Convoy\" have organized a press conference focusing on the Israeli blockade of Gaza strip. They gathered in front of the Israeli controlled Erez crossing to highlight the many miseries of people of Gaza.

A Bahraini court has sentenced 16 Shia activists to seven years in prison each for taking part in anti-government protests. This is the latest in a series of convictions the Bahraini regime has imposed against protesters - among them prominent rights activist Nabil Rajab. Rajab was arrested in late 2012 and is currently serving a two-year sentence. Rights groups have repeatedly called for his release but Bahraini authorities have refused to free him from jail. The arrests and trials come against the backdrop of unabated protests in the Persian Gulf Kingdom against the rule of the Al Khalifah monarchy.

In recognition of the International Human Rights Day, rights activists from around the world have gathered in Beirut to shed light on the rights violations the Bahraini regime has been committing in the tiny Persian Gulf state.

Tunisian activists have demonstrated near the Foreign Affairs Ministry to demand the resumption of diplomatic ties with Syria. During the rally, Syrian refugees denounced the war and said that some Arab countries want to destroy Syria for the sake of Israel. Protesters praised the efforts of the resistance in backing Syria against Israeli agents. Many observers say the Syrian unrest will end soon as government forces there have so far been successful in dealing with foreign-backed terrorist groups.

Rights activists have repeatedly called for key figures behind the 2003 invasion of Iraq to be put on trial. Britain, along with the US, attacked Iraq under the pretext that the regime of former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein possessed weapons of mass destruction. W-M-Ds were never found in Iraq and the war took hundreds of thousands of lives. And now to further show the atrocities committed during the war, the International Criminal Court has been asked to investigate allegations of abuse and torture by British forces in the war-torn country.
