[28 June 2012] Opposition activists in Bahrain want Bahrain king son arrested - Comment (Part 1) - English Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa is the head of Bahrain's Olympic committee and is due to lead the country's delegation during the Olympics Games in London. But according to Bahraini opposition members, he's also a sadistic torturer who's been personally involved in crushing anti-regime demonstrations by force. They also say he has cheer-led the persecution of Bahraini athletes opposed to the Al Khalifa dictatorship. Nasser bin Hamad is the King of Bahrain's 25 year old son. Activists say he can be seen here preparing to participate in quelling anti-regime demonstrations by force. According to the Bahraini opposition, anti-regime athletes have been abducted, taken to torture chambers and subjected to horrific treatment. And Nasser's voice can be heard here on Bahraini state TV, condemning calls for regime change in the country. With the Olympic Games around one month away the British government has banned the Syrian Olympic Committee chief from entering the country because of alleged links to repression in his country. But London hasn't taken the same steps against its Persian Gulf ally Bahrain. Saeed Shehabi, meanwhile, is calling for Nasser bin Hamad to be arrested for crimes against humanity if he sets foot on British soil. On the other hand, in a letter to the Guardian newspaper, Bahrain has denied the allegations against Nasser bin Hamad al Khalifa. Britain and Bahrain have close military, economic and political ties and this hasn't changed despite the al Khalifa crackdown on the opposition. But if Nasser bin Hamad al Khalifa is allowed to come to the Olympic Games it will shine a brighter spotlight on the UK's close ties with the Persian Gulf dictatorship.

The family of a Palestinian man killed by israeli soldiers has been forced to cancel his funeral, after Israel refused to hand over his body. The Israeli army says its soldiers opened fire on Yusef after he drove into their base to attack them. However, his family says that the Israeli army prevented him from entering through the checkpoint on his way home from work. Yusef had become frustrated and drove through, where he was shot and killed. Yusef\'s father also said, when he arrived home in the evening, the Israeli army had raided his home and arrested three of his brothers who were released later. This is the second tragic incident for the family, as their other son had been murdered in a similar way just three years ago. Other relatives of Yusef also told us how Israel failed to meet its promise to hand over the body of the slain man. The Israelis have refused to hand over the body of Yousef, even after their family was waiting for hours to receive it. And this forced them to cancel the funeral for him, which was due to take place in Abudiyeh village in Bethlehem.

Indeed the Prophet Mohammed commended a unprecedented praise upon Jesus as a Prophet of Islam. Muslims believe Jesus, son of Mary, will return to earth to bring about justice and truth, before the hour and the end of life in this world. The Qur\'an describes Jesus as the Word of God which was delivered to Mary, daughter of Imran. The Qur\'an states that Jesus preached to all of mankind and that God created him as he did Adam, without a father, and that his mother Mary was chosen by God for the miracle birth of Jesus. Jesus was chosen by the Lord to be a Prophet of his people, and supported many miracles such as the of the revival of the dead, with the permission of God, amongst others. Revealed to him was the Gospel, and he was supported by numerous miracles from God: The first was that he was born of a mother without a father, and he spoke in the cradle, and that he healed the sick, and created birds from clay, all with the permission of God. Jesus, Son of Mary, as not crucified nor killed, but was raised to God. That is why Muslims respect Jesus [ peace be upon him] and see themselves as the people closest to him and the first believers in his authority as a Prophet.

عيسى بن مريم، نبي من أولي العزم عند المسلمين يؤمن المسلمون بعيسى كنبي مرسل ويعتقدون أن مولده معجزة. وعدم الايمان به أو بأحد من الانبياء يعد كفرا مخرجا من ملة الإسلام؛ بل إن النبى محمد أثنى على عيسى ثناء منقطع النظير كما أن نبي الإسلام محمد بن عبد الله أمر من قبل الله بالإقتداء بهدى هؤلاء الانبياء أجمعين في الصبر والجلد. كما يؤمن المسلمون بعوده عيسى بن مريم إلى الأرض ليقيم فيها العدل والحق وذلك قبل قيام الساعه ونهايه الحياه الدنيا. ويطلق المسلمون أيضا لقب المسيح على عيسى بن مريم. ويصف القرآن عيسى بأنه كلمة الله التي ألقاها إلى مريم بنت عمران. يذكر القرآن أن عيسى بشر ككل البشر وأن الله خلقه كما خلق آدم بدون أب، وأن أمه مريم صِدّيقة اختارها الله لمعجزته بولادة عيسى من غير ذكر. وقد اختاره المولى ليكون نبي قومه وأيده بالمعجزات من إحياء الموتى بإذن الله وغيرها كدلالة على صدقه. أوحي إليه الإنجيل، وأيده الله بمعجزات عديدة: كان أولها أنه ولد لأم من غير أب، وأنه تكلم في المهد، وأنه شفى المرضى بإذن الله، وأنه خلق من الطين طيرا بإذن الله. لم يصلب ولم يقتل بل رفعه الله إليه. ولهذا يحترمُ المسلمون عيسى ويقولون عيسى عليه السلام، ويعتبرون أنفسهم أقرب الناس إليه وأولى بموالاته.
