[30 July 2012] Iraq ruling party to interrogate Kurdistan president - English MPs from the Iraqi Prime Minister's State of Law Coalition are determined to interrogate the Kurdistan Region's President, Massoud Barzani. The MPs are now collecting signatures to grill Barzani in Iraq's Parliament. Press TV has conducted an interview with Massoud Shadjareh, head of the Islamic Human Rights Commission, about Syrian deputy Foreign Minister Faisal Meqdad calling on the United States and its allies to stop arming terrorist groups who are fighting against the Syrian government.

**READ DETAILS** The Iranian Intelligence Ministry has identified and dismantled an espionage ring affiliated to the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). According to Iran's Intelligence Ministry statement, 30 individual suspected of spying for the US were arrested and 42 CIA operatives were identified in connection with the network. The network, which was set up by a considerable number of seasoned CIA operatives in several countries, attempted to trick citizens into spying for them under the guise of issuing visa, helping with permanent residency, and making job and study offers. According to the statement, the CIA operatives had gathered information from "universities and scientific research centers, and in the field of nuclear energy, aerospace, defense and biotechnology industries." The spies had also gathered detailed information about the "oil and gas pipelines, telecommunication and electricity networks, airports and customs, the security of the banking and communication systems," by using "US embassies and consulates in several countries particularly "the United Arab Emirates, Turkey and Malaysia." In January Iran's Intelligence Ministry dismantled an Israeli spy ring and arrested the main perpetrators in connection with the assassination of Iranian nuclear scientist Dr. Massoud Ali-Mohammadi In 2010, Iran arrested seven individuals affiliated with Israeli intelligence services, who were involved in counterrevolutionary activities and supplied the enemy with information on the country's judiciary, military and space agencies.

Iraqi Kurdistan\'s President Massoud Barzani has announced that he did not sign a controversial law that extends his term by two years. However, as the president did not reject it within the fifteen-day deadline, parliamentary rules mean the law is automatically enforced and Barzani gets two extra years. Barzani\'s second term officially finishes at the end of this month.

Meeting in the Turkish seaside resort of Bodrum under the auspices of the UJN the scholars, who represent all of Pakistan\\\'s major Islamic sects and tendencies, agreed to come together to tackle religious intolerance in the interests of Muslim unity. The signatories include Sahibzada Muhammad Hamid Raza of the Sunni Ittehad Council, Sahibzada Muhammad Hamid Raza of Jamiat Ahle Hadith and Allama Syed Niaz Hussain Shah of Hoza Ilmia Jamia Al Muntazar. The 11-point UJN Pakistan Unity Declaration commits the signatories and the UJN to sign statements in the upcoming Islamic month of Muharram denouncing the killing of fellow human beings on the basis of colour, creed, ethnicity or religion as haram. The statements will also declare excommunication or takfir against fellow Muslims and abusing the Prophet Muhammad\\\'s family and companions as against the Shariah. Also party to the accord were Allama Mohammad Sadiq Qureshi (Minhaj ul Quran International), Maulana Syed Ali Murtaza Zaidi (Jamay Imamia), Liaqat Baloch, MP (Jamaat-e-Islami) and Muhammad Sarwat Ejaz Qadri (Pakistan Sunni Tahreek). Iran has marked the second anniversary of the assassination of Iranian nuclear scientist Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan; In January 2012, a terrorist motorcyclist attached a magnetic bomb to Ahmadi Roshan\'s car in Tehran. Ahmadi Roshan\'s assassination was part of attacks against Iranian nuclear scientists. Professor Massoud Ali-Mohammadi, and professor Majid Shahriari were among other nuclear scientists who have been assassinated in the past couple of years by Israel-US agents in order to slow down the pace of Iran\'s scientific progress. Speaking at the commemoration ceremony, speaker of Iran\'s Parliament Ali Larijani says if there had not been such individuals as Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan, we would not have reached the point where we are standing now. Larijani said Iran has made good progress in nuclear field. Referring to the Geneva action plan between Iran and the P5+1 group larijani said: Meanwhile the father of assassinated nuclear scientist Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan says the West is not trustworthy. At the same time, a group of the families of the assassinated nuclear scientists, in a meeting with the visiting British parliamentary delegation condemned the Wet double standard policy towards terrorism saying that this sinister phenomenon is a serious threat to global peace and security. For his part head of the British delegation Jack Straw said that the British Government and Parliament condemn all forms of terrorism including the assassination of Iranian nuclear scientists.
