In Pakistan, lawyers of former president Pervez Musharraf have walked out of a hearing in his treason case, complaining of being threatened and harassed. The move comes as Musharraf was expected to attend the special tribunal on Thursday after failing to show up for two previous sessions, citing security threats. Earlier the court had warned that it could issue an arrest warrant for Musharraf if he fails to appear once again. The trial is the latest in a series of criminal cases Musharraf has faced since he returned to Pakistan with the intention to run in the May 2013 general elections. Musharraf could receive the death penalty or life in prison if convicted.

Lawyers for Egypt\\\'s ousted president Mohamed Morsi say they have been denied access to his prison cell in Alexandria. Morsi is set to appear again in court in 48 hours. The interior ministry said in a statement that Morsi would not be allowed to receive any visit from January the second for a period of one month. His family says the move infringes on basic human rights. Egypt\\\'s anti-coup alliance has expressed fear over the safety of the country\\\'s first democratically-elected president, who was ousted in a military-backed coup. Morsi is to stand trial on Wednesday before a Cairo court over his alleged role in the killing of protesters in December 2012. His other charges include espionage and orchestrating prison breaks. Morsi\\\'s supporters have planned a mass rally for Wednesday.

[17 July 2012] Iran biggest fraud trial ends - English Iran's Big Fraud Trial Ends. People will hear about the fate of defendants for whom the bill of indictment has been issued in the biggest fraud case in Iran's history. There are more than a hundred people arrested in this case out of which thirty nine bills of indictment have been issued up to now. The last three defendants for whom a bill of indictment was issued defended themselves in the fifteenth court session, held in Tehran. The lawyers in previous sessions had stated that the people put on trial here had created many jobs and the judge started the session by answering them.

Tarja Cronberg is the chairperson of the European Parliamentary delegation to Iran. She says the progress that was made last weekend during the talks with Iran in Geneva must be built upon to ease sanctions against the Islamic Republic.

A group of youth revolutionaries, lawyers and rights activist have rallied in the Yemeni capital Sana\'a condemning the purchase of Yemeni Liquefied Natural Gas by France way below the international price market. The protesters slammed the French company, TOTAL for depriving Yemen of full and fair compensation for its L-N-G sales. Yemeni protesters called for an immediate end to the L-N-G contract between their country and TOTAL. For the past 19 years the French giant has been purchasing L-N-G for 3 dollars per million BTU. Reports say that\'s 11 dollars less than the average international market price of L-N-G sales.

In the US prison at Guantanamo, despite various calls for a halt to humiliating and degrading treatment of inmates, such acts continue. In the latest development, US appeals court judges are questioning the need for genital searches of prisoners before meeting their lawyers. At a hearing of a three-judge panel of the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, Judge Thomas Griffith said that checking the prisoners\' private parts was both provocative and offensive. Griffith then cited the detainees\' right to have easy access to their lawyers as a legal obligation of the court. Some of the prisoners have decided not to meet their lawyers because genital searches were required beforehand. Meanwhile, another US appeals court is reviewing whether it is necessary to force-feed hunger-striking prisoners, an act which some people describe as torture.

2. How the corporation came to be. Originally corporations were set up to serve the public good. Corporation lawyers gained rights through the US Supreme Court using the 14th Amendment - set up to protect slaves - that gives them the rights of a person. In the last century the corporation is given more and more rights while people are increasingly stripped of theirs.

The Hijab Martyr Marwa al-Sherbini, has inspired a group of multinational women to call the OIC (Organisation of the Islamic Conference) to declare July 1 the International Day of Hijab. Hijab is an expression of Muslim Women's freedom; and is a choice for them. Democracy is allegedly a pioneer of freedom and as a result should support the right of women to wear the Hijab. Instead Marwa al-Sherbini was murdered in cold blood by Alexander W (full name has never been released by German Authorities) in a German Courtroom with Judge, Jury and Lawyers present by the racist who had initially abused her and sparked the event which led to them being in court in the first place. Her husband was also shot by a police officer when he went to assist his wife; and their child looked on in horror as his mother was murdered and father was wounded. The western media has attempted to cover up this issue; and the exact condition of Marwa's husband is not known since Press TV has been denied access to him by the German authorities. The police officer who shot Marwa's husband has yet to be charged with his crimes and offences by the German authorities.

Massive anti-US rallies held in Pakistan Thousands of people have held anti-US demonstrations across Pakistan to protest an American court's verdict against a female Pakistani scientist. The protests on Friday come after a New York court sentenced 38-year-old Aafia Siddiqui to 86 years in prison. Hundreds of police officers were deployed across the capital Islamabad to stop angry protesters from marching into the US Embassy. In Siddiqui's hometown of Karachi, police fired tear gas to prevent protesters from moving towards the US consulate. In Multan, scores of activists including lawyers blocked traffic. Siddiqui has been found guilty of allegedly trying to kill FBI agents and US military service members in Afghanistan. Human rights groups argue that she was kidnapped and held in secret US prisons abroad. Political activists and Siddiqui's relatives have strongly criticized the US justice system for its handling of the case. [12 Aug 2012] Israeli prisons increase repression during Ramadan - English Prisoner Hatem Qafisha, an administrative detainee, said the prison\'s administration started to handcuff the prisoners\' hands and legs during meetings with the lawyers, and when using bathrooms. Qashafa also said that the prisoners suffer from these brutal procedures besides the hard living conditions due to the hot weather, the continuous cut in the electricity and the lack of the electrical equipment. The prisoner Musaab Fathi from Ramallah, an administrative detainee since 5/6/2011, also said that prisoners in section 6 live in harsh living conditions; the prisons\' administration didn\'t provide the basic materials for cooking, so prisoners just eat little amount of food that the prison provides and they are forced to drink warm water because there are no refrigerators in that section. He added that the prison\'s administration also put the African detainees in the same section, the thing that causes a lot of dispute between the prisoners.

Hundreds of Palestinian children are detained by Israeli forces on a daily basis and tortured while in custody. The third hearing of the Mavi Marmara trial was held at Caglayan Courthouse in Istanbul on Sunday. The passengers of the flotilla as well as relatives and lawyers of the slain activists from 37 different countries attended the trial. There are 490 victims in the case, including flotilla passengers and relatives of the martyrs.
