Muslims in Germany have been going through the state of torment in the past few years. There have been many discriminatory incidents against Muslims by members of the public including a Muslim woman who was stabbed to death in a court, attacks to graveyards and mosques and a call for burqa ban as well. Even politicians have made such remarks. German chancellor, Angela Merkel has also recently commented that Muslims are failing to integrate in Germany. Germany chancellor has called the U-S president to demand immediate clarification on reports that the U-S spied on her. The German government spokesman says Angela Merkel had made clear to Barack Obama that if the information proves to be true, it would be completely unacceptable and represents a grave breach of trust. This, after Germany said it had received info that the U-S is spying on Merkel\'s cell phone communications. But the White House says Obama has assured Merkel that her phone is not being monitored. The U-S spying scandal is taking center stage after fugitive American whistle-blower Edward Snowden revealed the details of the program. Washington\'s espionage scandal has already caused outrage among Italian, French, Mexican and Brazilian officials.

The volume of bilateral trade between Germany and Iran stands at around 2-point-8 billion euros. That figure could still go up in the coming months, given the nuclear deal between Iran and the five permanent members of the U-N Security Council plus Germany.

Iran and the permanent members of the U-N Security Council plus Germany start a two-day expert-level meeting in Vienna. Tehran has sent experts from nuclear, oil, banking and other industrial sectors. Iran\'s Foreign Ministry\'s director for political affairs, Hamid Ba\'eedinejad, is leading the team. This, as an American delegation, including experts from the country\'s State and Treasury Departments, is also present. The last meeting of the two sides was held in Geneva on October 15 and 16. Following the talks described by both sides as constructive, Tehran and the six powers decided to send their experts to Vienna at the end of October to discuss details of Iran\'s new proposal to resolve outstanding issues over its nuclear energy program. The latest talks come as Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency wrapped up two days of negotiations on Tuesday, which were also described as very productive.

A German court has ruled that the country is not liable for damages relating to the 2009 bombing of hijacked tanker trucks that killed dozens of civilians in Afghanistan. The trucks hijacked by members of the Taliban were bombed by American fighter jets at the request of Germany\'s armed forces. But the court ruled that German commanders did not breach their terms of military duty. The airstrike killed about 100 Taliban militants and Afghan civilians who were near the trucks.
