Here is al-Qusayr; the most important supply station for foreign-backed insurgents and one of their last strongholds in western Syria. And now, the town becomes a turning point in the government\'s fight against insurgents in the country.The Syrian Army\'s operation in central Syria has reached its final destination in al-Qusayr; the army gave a final warning to the militants to allow the remaining of the 40 thousand civilian population a safe passage out of the town before starting its operation inside Qusayr. The battle for Qusayr is over. The Syrian Army is now in full control of what the foreign-backed opposition called \"the backbone of the revolution\". Video footage from the previous night when the city was under the insurgents\' control reveals a lot about the nature of the battle that represents a turning point in the Syrian government\'s fight against the militants. After the sunset on June 4th, The Syrian army intensified attacks on insurgents\' strongholds from various directions. The army took new routes different from the ones used in previous days pressuring the militants and making them leave Qusayr\'s city center into the northern quarter. Some cities named the event, \\\\\\\"Islamic Awakening & Muslim Unity Conference\\\\\\\". The event was held at Islamic Education Center on 1 June 2013. Over 300 participants attended the event.

Amid massive turnout of voters in Friday\'s elections, Iranian religious minorities and expatriates have also joined their compatriots to cast their ballots, Press TV reports. \"We Zoroastrians always, especially today on June 14th that\'s a very special day, feel [that] we are part of the elections because we would like to [participate in the election].... We are duty-bound religiously ... to stand shoulder by shoulder alongside our Muslim, Christian, Jewish and other religious minorities to take part in the enthusiastic elections,\" Rashid Khorshidian, a Zoroastrian voter, told Press TV. \"When it comes to the destiny of Iran, we should all try to pick the right and most qualified person as the next president so that he would be able to serve Iran,\" Ebrahim Saidian, a Jewish voter, told Press TV. Iranian expatriates in over 90 countries are also voting to choose a new president for their country. Over 850,000 ballot papers have been sent to polling stations overseas.

Fighting between Takfiri insurgents and the Syrian army rages on across the country. The army is making gains in the western province of Homs, in some eastern parts as well as in areas near the capital Damascus. Press TV\'s Alaa Ebrahim reports from Damascus.

Outskirts of Qatana --the main city in the south western countryside of Damascus-- was one of the strong-points for the foreign-backed militants which was cleared from insurgents more than six months ago and is still in control of the government forces. A day after the Iranian Embassy in Lebanon was rocked with brazen terrorist attacks; its doors have remained open to receive delegations of visitors who poured into the embassy to offer their condolences. Iran\'s Deputy FM Hossein Amir Abdollahian arrived late on Wednesday to receive condolences for the victims of the twin bombings. An estimated 5 and 65 kilograms of explosive each claimed the lives of 23 people - including Iran\'s Cultural Attache, Ebrahim Ansari and 5 other Iranians - and wounding scores others.

Ever since the Islamic Revolution in Iran more than three decades ago, the country has been the constant target of terrorism and extremism. Kurdistan the western Iranian Province has been a hot spot for terror attacks that have targeted civilians more often than not. The Democratic Party of Iran\\\'s Kurdistan and Komalah Party are extremist ethno-centric groups with separatist ideologies. They have their strongholds in neighboring countries and their leaders live in Europe. In the past three decades the two armed organizations have been responsible for the assassination and death of thousands of Kurdish people. The victims\\\' so-called crimes range from collaborating with the Islamic Revolution, to fighting alongside Iran against Saddam Hussein\\\'s invasion of the country, or to simply refusing to pay extortions. In spite of the two groups\\\' common ideology and goals, they are bitter rivals who have had thousands of their members killed in violent clashes between the two. The Common Target though tells the story of Ebrahim Mohammadi\\\'s assassination; A simple middle aged citizen who was gunned down simply because he had taken up arms against Saddam during Iran-Iraq War. Although the order was issued by a high-ranking DPIK member in Europe, the final bullet that took Mohammadi\\\'s life was shot by a Komalah member. How did this happen? Why a common target between rivals? These questions are investigated in this documentary.
