Pingu and his parents are having a yummy lunch. But Pingu is eating disgustingly; smashing his fork so he can scoop up potatoes (possibly eggs or nuts) and swallow them whole in his mouth like a grape, blowing bubbles in his drink, eating fish disgustingly, and refusing to eat his greens, but did eat some and then spit it in the toilet. After this comical lunch, Pingu goes out to play with his red ball, but two of Pingus friends, Pingo and Pingg, come to take it away from him (this is contrary to later episodes; they\\\'ve become nicer to him). After a fight in which Pingg knocks Pingus head and his ball is burst (Pingu fell on it when he was tripped over by the two bullies.) He gets his ball back and sadly returns home (after being chased by snowballs thrown at him by the two friends, although only two of them hit Pingu.) His parents put a patch on his head and his ball. Then suddenly, they rock him to sleep in a hammock that was almost about comfy for Pingu.

Abu Bakr Saddique was raised by a woman known around the city of Buffalo, NY as a champion of human rights and a helper of the poor. In his neighborhood of mostly Italian-American immigrants, Saddique says there was one incident that stood out for him in particular. “I was out front playing. We were in the projects – only black family on the street. And I saw this lady. She was a white lady. She was walking down the street and she was going from apartment to apartment – and we lived in a row house. People were slamming the door in her face. She got to our house, and my mother opened up the door and invited her in. So I’m out playing, everything is tight. We’re on welfare. I go into the house and there was this woman sitting down there – eating. I said, ‘woah, what is this? Man, she’s eating up our food.’ You know? And my mother, it was like she didn’t care. She said, ‘she needed to eat’. She gave her food and she gave her some money. Yes. That’s how she was. And she said, ‘always be kind to strangers’”. Saddique was six and the year was 1953. He says his mother’s character and behavior in situations like this prepared the ground for his eventual conversion to Islam. Saddique first learned about the religion in fourth grade. “There was Niagara Street Library. I got a book on the Crusades about Richard the Lionheart. That peaked my interest in Islam because they couldn’t say anything about Salahuddin Ayyubi not being good. I saw Muslims in the 50s – some NOI (Nation of Islam), some orthodox. Malcolm X also used to come to Buffalo a lot in the 50s and 60s”. Ing: 1 13 oz pack baking dates 1/2 cup pistachios 1 to 2 tsp ghee or butter All the below products can be used for garnishing! crushed slivered almonds for garnishing sprinkles for garnishing crushed pistachios for garnishing desiccated coconut for garnishing sweetened coconut flakes for garnishing Method: In a wide frying pan add the ghee and let it melt, then add the dates and flatten it, this will help cook it evenly, on the side add the pistachios and toast it lightly, after about a minute or so mix everything together and cook it for about 3 more minutes. Shut the stove off and divide the mixture in two, put one half of the mixture on a saran wrap and for it in a cylinder then add the topping of your choice make sure the whole thing is coated well, cover it well and pop it in the freezer for about half an hour then unwrap and slice using a serrated knife! Enjoy! Makes about 20

Soft pita bread that is hollow on the inside, and can be stuffed with whatever your heart desires! Ing: 3 cups white all purpose flour 11/2 tsp yeast depending on how cold it is you can add 1 sugar to the yeast in 1 cup water salt to taste 1 egg 7 tbsp oil Method: Sift your flour in the container you are going to knead your dough next add salt, egg, and olive oil, mix it really well, now slowly start adding the water and yeast mixture this should make a sticky dough, keep kneading for about 3 min and you should have a nice soft dough. Let the dough rise till it has doubled in size, then make small individual balls and roll them out to about 5 to 6 in in diameter. You will need some extra flour for dusting while you roll the pitas. Start laying them on a floured surface to prevent them from sticking, start cooking the rotis with the first one you had rolled out that way it will give it some time to rise a little, in a med hot pan put the rotis one by one on the frying pan, flip only twice, you can add a little olive oil to prevent it from drying out! Makes about 25 Enjoy
