Tarja Cronberg is the chairperson of the European Parliamentary delegation to Iran. She says the progress that was made last weekend during the talks with Iran in Geneva must be built upon to ease sanctions against the Islamic Republic.

Russia has criticized the United States\' recent decision to blacklist a number of individuals and companies for evading sanctions against Iran. The US government is under renewed pressure from pro-Israel lobbyists over talks with Iran. Pro-Israel advocates have met with senior White House officials to seek explanations about recent negotiations with Iran. They\'re worried about the possible easing of draconian sanctions on Iran while they seek a military option down the road. White House officials say they\'ve told the lobbyists the U-S wants to resolve the nuclear issue through diplomacy. The Obama administration also wants Congress to stop introducing new sanctions on Iran in order to give talks a chance. Pro-Israel lobbyists namely AIPAC are pressuring the government to retain harsh sanctions. Some US politicians suspect lobbyists of trying to push anti-Iran measures to a tipping point that could lead to a conflict.

A national rally held across Iran for the past 34 years; every year on November 4th Iranians take to the streets across the country to mark a historic which changed the direction of Iran-US relations. Holding banners and placards demonstrators chant \"down with USA\" on the anniversary of the US embassy take over in Tehran by university students back in 1979. The latest rally took place as both Iran and the US recently took steps towards easing diplomatic tensions after three decades. Despite calling for a softer tone in this year\'s demonstration by some political groups this year\'s event appeared much bigger than previous years.

US President Barack Obama calls on Senate to delay imposing new sanctions on Iran, rejecting criticism by senators that Washington has not been tough on Iran. White House spokesman Jay Carney says that Obama has met top Democrats and Republicans from the Senate Armed Services, Intelligence and Foreign Relations committees and urged them to delay any decision on new Iran sanctions. As Iran and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany are slated to hold fresh round of nuclear talks in Geneva on Wednesday, Obama tell the senators that new sanctions should not be enacted during the current negotiations. Meanwhile, a group of senators wrote to Secretary of State John Kerry, calling on the administration to make a tougher line on anti-Iran sanctions. The senators warned that easing the sanctions would not force Iran to abandon its pursuit of an alleged nuclear weapon. Obama says the proposed deal would permit a modest lifting of the economic sanctions on Iran.

Iran says it\'s ready to negotiate a comprehensive and final deal on its nuclear energy program. The preliminary accord, which was reached on Sunday, meant to lay the foundations for a comprehensive agreement later this year. Zarif was speaking at Tehran\'s Mehrabad Airport upon arrival back home from Geneva. He said the Iranian nation showed that no one can talk to them through pressure. Zarif also said Tehran\'s right to uranium enrichment is enshrined in the nuclear deal. Based on the interim deal, Iran has agreed to limit the level of its enrichment activities for the next six months in exchange for the easing of sanctions. The foreign minister was given a heroic welcome by the people who\'d gathered at the airport several hours before his arrival.

Under the Geneva deal between Iran and five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council plus Germany, the western countries have agreed to ease sanctions on Iran in response to Tehran\'s confidence-building move to continue its nuclear energy program at a lower level. But, there are different accounts of the exact timing of the partial sanctions removal. The U-S says Iran will see up to seven-billion-dollars worth of its frozen assets un-blocked. Out of this amount, Washington is expected to un-freeze some four-point-two billion dollars in oil revenue frozen in foreign banks. But, some remaining 40 billion dollars of Iran\'s oil export money will remain frozen. This is the amount Iran obtained through selling its oil under U-S and E-U sanctions imposed in early 20-12. Iran could also access another four-hundred-million dollars for educational purposes, such as the transfer of university tuition fees. France\'s Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius says this could happen in December. But British Foreign Secretary William Hague, as well as the spokesman for E-U\'s foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton, say they expect the sanctions easing to be completed in January.

French auto giants Renault-Nissan and Peugeot-Citro-en are planning to return to Iran\'s market in light of the easing of anti-Iran sanctions. Reports say Renault and Peugeot are gearing to reclaim their share of the huge Iranian market they lost after the implementation of anti-Iran sanctions in 20-11. Both companies are sending representatives to a crucial auto conference in Tehran that opens within hours. Their participation in the conference has been interpreted by the media as a sign to mark their early return to the Iranian market before other competitors. Renault and Peugeot have been production partners of Iran\'s domestic majors - Iran Khodro and SAIPA. Official data show the sanctions against Iran led to the unemployment of 100,000 workers and undermined the output of the two French giants.

Pierre Mosco-vici said the visit is QUOTE a bet on the future and not about doing business as usual. His comments came in response to the US Secretary of State\'s recent complaint. Only days ago, John Kerry said the French delegation\'s visit to Iran was not helpful in sending the message to Tehran that it\'s not business as usual. His remarks came after a one-hundred- sixteen member French delegation traveled to Iran for commercial opportunities. Among the group are multi-national companies such as Total, Lafarge and Peugeot. The delegation arrived in Tehran less than two weeks after the recent easing of sanctions against Iran.

Iran\'s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif says the resumed talks between Iran and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council which include the United States, Britain, France, Russia, and China plus Germany will start in good faith. He met with the European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton, who represents the P5+1 group of countries, in Vienna a day ahead of the negotiations that will take place in the city over next three days. The two sides agreed on a landmark interim deal last November in Geneva. The initial deal, which took effect in January, saw Iran curbing some of its nuclear activities in exchange for easing parts of nuclear-related sanctions.
