Facebook has blocked Press TV from posting on the popular social networking site for 12 hours. This, after Press TV published photos of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of Lebanon\\\'s resistance movement Hezbollah.
Press TV\\\'s Facebook page has around 1.3 million likes. It is regarded as one of the fastest-growing Facebook pages among international news channels. The social network has cited its Community Standards for the temporary suspension. However, Press TV\\\'s multimedia team found no credible reasons why its page should be blocked. While the channel cannot post on Facebook until 04:30 AM GMT Tuesday, it could still get likes and comments by its viewers.

As convoys and flotillas are being increasingly blocked from entering Palestine, activists look increasingly to the Boycott Movement as a way to pressure Israel.
They have campaigned for musicians to cancel performances in Tel Aviv and protested outside supermarkets and shops stocking goods that contribute to Israel's occupation. But most recently, activists are looking to renew their campaign to raise awareness about how buying Israeli dates help to fund building of settlements and exploitation of Palestinians.

Most Gazans suffer from food insecurity due to several years of Israeli blockade. Impoverishment has increased the level of food insecurity in Gaza which is home to one point seven million people. Tel-Aviv is not only maintaining a tight air, sea and land blockade but it also prevents farmers in Gaza from farming vast swathes of land in the so-called buffer zone.

The US may have to fly military equipment out of Afghanistan since the land route through Pakistan has been blocked because of anti-US protests.
US officials say the possible air shipments would cost an additional one billion dollars. Sending the cargoes out through the normal routes via Pakistan would cost about five billion dollars. Dozens of Pakistani protesters continue to gather on the busy overland route more than a week after Islamabad promised Washington that it would take immediate action to quell the protests. Pakistanis are angry with US drone operations which have left scores of civilians dead and injured in their country.

Police were tipped off that the truck belonging to an aid organization was carrying arms for al-Qaeda-linked groups in Syria. But their search of the cargo was prevented by Hatay Governor Jela-lettin Lekesiz, and the vehicle went on its way. Reports say an army post then stopped the truck and found ammunition and weapons onboard. Now the chief provincial public prosecutor is investigating the incident. Turkey is a vocal critic of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and has openly supported the insurgents fighting the government there. Ankara, however, denies arming militants in Turkey\\\'s crisis-hit neighbor. Back in December, local media said that Turkey had shipped 47 tonnes of weapons to insurgents since June.

This is the main entrance of Pakistan\'s federal Parliament. The families of the missing citizens blocked the main gate to protest against the controversial presidential decree to provide blanket immunity to the military and intelligence agencies for all the past kidnappings of thousands of citizens. The illegal handing over of citizens to the US has also been legalized under the cover of so-called war on terror.
Under this controversial decree, the security agencies can now arrest any one for a long period of time--- something Pakistani intelligence agencies have been doing illegally since 9/11.

Today, many live in the virtual world more than they live in the real world. What should Muslims and Islamic countries do? Should the cyberspace be completely blocked? Should no one be able to access and benefit from the internet? Or there is a need for the proper use and benefit of this cyberspace? Who is responsible to manage this proper use in the Islamic Republic? Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei highlights the importance of cyberspace and addresses this issue.

It\'s been more than three weeks since vital supply route for the US led forces stationed in neighboring Afghanistan remains blocked in the North West of Pakistan. The supply route at Torkham border has been blocked by activists of religious and political parties to protest against the US assassination drone strikes in the tribal areas.
However, the move by the provincial government, which is run by Tehreek-e-Insaf or Justice Party, has put the central government in difficult position. That is why these top Pakistani civil and military authorities gathered in Islamabad to find a way out of the ongoing standoff. Despite efforts by the central government, the provincial administration has refused to allow trucks carrying supplies for the US forces in Afghanistan pass through the Torkham border.Pakistan is considered important for the US to ensure its forces\' smooth pull out of Afghanistan. The US has recently threatened to suspend billions of dollars in aid to Pakistan if supply routes are not reopened. In the face off continuing US drone attacks, Pakistan\'s civil and military leadership has promised to safeguard the country\'s national interests. However, they have not been able to come up with a clear strategy to pacify the growing public anger against the CIA\'s illegal and deadly drone campaign.

Medics tell Press TV they have found traces of depleted uranium in some Gazan residents wounded in Israel's ground offensive into the strip.
Norwegian medics told Press TV correspondent Akram al-Sattari that some of the victims who have been wounded since Israel began its attacks on the Gaza Strip on December 27 have traces of depleted uranium in their bodies.
The report comes after Israeli tanks and troops swept across the border into Gaza on Saturday night, opening a ground operation after eight days of intensive attacks by Israeli air and naval forces on the impoverished region.
Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak warned on Sunday that the wide-ranging ground offensive in the Gaza Strip would be "full of surprises."
A ground offensive in the densely-populated Gaza is expected to drastically increase the death toll of the civilian population.
The latest assaults bring the number of Palestinians killed to over 488 with 2790 others wounded. The UN says that about 25 percent of the casualties were civilian deaths - including at least 34 children.
According to Israeli army officials, at least 30 of its soldiers have been wounded since the start of the ground campaign.
Amid global condemnation of the ongoing violence in the region, the UN Security Council failed to agree on a united approach to resolve the crisis.
"Once again, the world is watching in dismay the dysfunctionality of the Security Council," UN General Assembly chief Miguel d'Escoto said Sunday.
According to diplomatic sources, the US blocked a Security Council resolution, with US Deputy Ambassador Alejandro Wolff arguing that an official statement that criticizes both Israel and Hamas would not be helpful.
The White House has so far declined to comment on whether an Israeli ground incursion into Gaza is a justified measure.

Massive anti-US rallies held in Pakistan
Thousands of people have held anti-US demonstrations across Pakistan to protest an American court's verdict against a female Pakistani scientist.
The protests on Friday come after a New York court sentenced 38-year-old Aafia Siddiqui to 86 years in prison. Hundreds of police officers were deployed across the capital Islamabad to stop angry protesters from marching into the US Embassy.
In Siddiqui's hometown of Karachi, police fired tear gas to prevent protesters from moving towards the US consulate.
In Multan, scores of activists including lawyers blocked traffic.
Siddiqui has been found guilty of allegedly trying to kill FBI agents and US military service members in Afghanistan.
Human rights groups argue that she was kidnapped and held in secret US prisons abroad.
Political activists and Siddiqui's relatives have strongly criticized the US justice system for its handling of the case.
The Islamabad government says it will petition Washington to secure the repatriation of the mother of three on humanitarian grounds.

SOHO (NASA-ESA Solar & Heliospheric Observatory) watched as a fairly bright comet dove towards the Sun in a white streak and was not seen again after its close encounter (May 10-11, 2011). The comet, probably part of the Kreutz family of comets, was discovered by amateur astronomer Sergey Shurpakov. In this coronagraph the Sun (represented by a white circle) is blocked by the red occulting disk so that the faint structures in the Sun's corona can be discerned. Interestingly, a coronal mass ejection blasted out to the right just as the comet is approaching the Sun. Scientists, however, have yet to find a convincing physical connection between sun-grazing comets and coronal mass ejections. In fact, analysis of this CME using images from the Solar Dynamics Observatory shows that the CME erupted before the comet came close enough to the solar surface to interact with strong magnetic fields

Muharram processions have been banned in Kashmir since the conflict began in the disputed region in 1989. Kashmir is a Muslim majority region. However, only at few Shia dominated regions processions have been allowed. On the 8th and 10th of Muharram, streets are blocked and people are asked not to join processions. Whenever processions take place police seize down people by using force that results in casualties and panic. On this week\\\'s INFocus we talk to Muslim scholars and government to find out why India, which claims to be a democracy, does not allow people to exercise their religious right in the region.
