The 29th juz has 10 makki surahs and 1 madani surah. Meccan surahs focus on aqeedah and one of the primary beliefs is the day of accountability. The Qur’an explores the theme of ma’ad in great depth. In Surah Ma’arij for example Allah swt describes the day as incredibly long, feeling as though it is 50,000 years. The prophet (s) however is told to look forward to this day, and find comfort in it. Since the day of judgment is a day of accountability, it is the day of true justice and a manifestation of God’s perfection. A question to ask ourselves is if we genuinely believe in the occurrence of this day? Do our beliefs manifest into actions?

The European Union has decided to bar all 28 member states from using any EU funds for projects in Israel\'s illegal settlements. Also beginning in 2014, all bilateral contracts must include a clause stating that East Jerusalem al-Quds, the Gaza Strip, the West Bank and Golan Heights are not a part of Israel. The directive will primarily affect research projects and financial grants. The declaration isn\'t a boycott of the colonies\' private sector, meaning the EU will continue to be Israel\'s number one trading partner, with some €30 billion in annual trade. But many are commending Brussels for finally introducing some accountability for the criminal theft of Palestinian land and resources. Analysts say that with the EU stuck in recession, Brussels is becoming more selective about their financial assistance for Israel. An Afghan refugee who was granted asylum in the UK has accepted substantial libel compensation at the high court in London after the daily express newspaper falsely accused him of being a member of the Taliban. Abdol Shazad who is 20 was recognized as a refugee by the Home Office last February after a four-year battle in which it was found that he was at fear of being persecuted by the Taliban. But a month later The express published a story saying that he was a member of the Taliban and posted an online version of the story under which hateful and abusive comments were posted causing great distress to Mr Shazad Journalists say this type of behavior is indicative of the lack of ethics of large segments of the right wing media.The Legal Counsel for the Express, Chloe Strong Said: \"The allegation in the articles was false and the defendant wishes to offer its sincerest apologies to the claimant for the damage, distress and embarrassment which the publication of the articles has caused him.\" The Daily Express has apologized and agreed to pay him substantial damages. The exact figure is undisclosed. But this type of behavior from elements of the right wing press is unlikely to stop as a result For Mr Shazid at least, there has been some kind of accountability for this unethical journalism.
