Dua Kumayl - Arabic with English Subtitles (HD) - Arabic English

This is one of the most famous supplications. Allamah Majlisi calls it the best of all supplications and remarks that it is the supplication of Khidhr (as). Ameer-ul Momineen (as) taught it to Kumayl, one of his close companions. Recommended to be recited on every Friday eve as well as the15th of Sha’ban. Kumayl Bin Ziyad reports: Imam Ali (as) has said, ‘Indeed this is the supplication of Prophet Khizr (as).\' Recite it every Thursday, if not once a month or at least once a year, if not once in a lifetime. Verily it is a protection from the evil of the enemies, forgiving of sins and opening of sustenance. Kumayl Bin Ziyad reports that Imam Ali (as) recited this Dua in Sajda on the eve of the 15th of Shaban.

Ziyarat Ashura | Arabic Sub English

Reported from Imam Baqir (as) & Imam Sadiq (as) Unlike other ziyaraat that have been reported from the Masumeen (as),Ziyarat Ashura is reported from the Apostle of Allah (saawa) to whom it wasrevealed from the Allah swt through the trustworthy Jibraeel (as). Imam Sadiq (as) has said, ‘masumeen (as) have guaranteed, for someonewho recites this ziyarat and the dua after it, his ziyarat will be accepted and his pledges granted. He will be among those who will be blessed with the Paradise. With the right to intercede for others.’ It has been a practice of the pious and is recommended to recite Ziyarat Ashura everyday. For best results awareness of the Ziyarat is required and one must be in line with it.

Dua Joshan Sagheer - Arabic with English subtitles (HD)

It’s the cry of the oppressed against the oppressors. A very effective dua in overthrowing the tyrants. Reported by Imam Musa al-Kadhim (as). Has the merits of Dua Joushan Kabeer. Kaf’ami reports in his book Balad al-Ameen that when Moosa Hadi Abbasi was planning to kill Imam Kadhim (as), Imam was reciting this dua. In a dream, his grandfather, the Holy Prophet (saawa) informs him that the Almighty Allah will ruin your enemy. Also reported by Sayyed ibn Taoos in Mahajj al-Da’waat.

Dua Makarimul Akhlaq - Arabic with English Subtitles (HD)

This Du`a is taught by the Imam Sajjad (a) and is a clear indication of the loftiness of moral virtues expected of a believer. Islam believes in the elevation of the human beings, that a human is a great and dignified creation, far above the animal world. One of the signs of this dignity is the possession of noble and magnanimous qualities. In order to achieve this behavioral excellence, man needs to overcome his base and selfish attributes, and cultivate noble qualities. Taken as a lesson is Akhlaq, the Du`a is a wonderful program for those who wish to excel in good akhlaq. The most complete in faith among the believers is he who has best manners Holy Prophet (s) Habituate yourself to magnanimity and choose for yourself the most excellent of all etiquettes, for virtuous behavior is a habit. Dua Mashlool - Arabic with English translation (HD)

It is also known as Dua al-Shab al-Ma’khuh bi Dhanbih and is cited in the Muhaj al-Dawat as well as in Kaf’ami’s works. This supplication was taught by the commander of the faithful, Ali ibn Abu Talib (as), to a youth who suffered from paralysis as a consequence of sinful conduct towards his father. On reciting this supplication, he saw in a dream the Holy Prophet (saawa) who stroked his body with his hand and said to him, Keep chanting God’s greatest Name, and you will fare well. On waking up, he found himself healed. In the report cited in Muhaj al-Da’awat it is stated that one should not recite this prayer without being in the state of wudhu (ritual purity).

Dua Safwan - Arabic with English subtitles (HD)

This supplication is also referred to as Dua Alqamah named after the companion of Imam Sadiq (as), Alqamah. However, Shaykh Abbas Qummi quotes very clear traditions in Mafatih ul-Jinan that Imam Sadiq (as) recited this dua in the presence of his companion Safwan, not Alqamah. It is further reported that Safwan reported this dua to Alqamah. Therefore, the correct name of this supplication is \"Dua Safwan\". This dua is to be recited after Ziyarat Ashura.

This supplication is beautiful in its eloquence as it holds many spiritual teachings, such as finding the balance between hope and fear, death, and gratitude. For example, we know that as humans we are greatly flawed and bound to sin, in which we may fear that we are not worthy of mercy and forgiveness of Allah swt. This path towards wrongdoings can lead one to hopelessness, however, the Dua teaches us that we must remember Allah swt is All Forgiving and All Merciful, and by these virtues of Allah swt that we should remain hopeful, and to not be fearful of Allah swt, but rather to be cautious and scared of our own actions. The Dua of Abu Hamza also contains supplications for our needs and wants for this world, as well as the hereafter. It is said that if the whole of this supplication is read then the supplications of our needs have been sufficiently covered, as this Dua mentions a variety of wishes that one may ask for. This includes the wellbeing of our families, the whole of society, and ourselves. As this Dua is mainly recited in the month of Ramadan, there is also the request to be amongst those who receive the chance to perform Hajj, as it is narrated that on Laylatul Qadr, the names of those who will be given such a chance are written. With the many needs that this Dua addresses, Imam Sajjad (as) has also included in it the bounties of Allah, so that we may practice gratitude and be grateful for that which Allah has blessed us with. Lastly as all of us must face death at one point or another, in this supplication, the Imam (as) prepares us for what will come after death, and reminds us to strive for the Hereafter.

Dua Asharaat - Arabic with English subtitles (HD)

Dua’a-ul-A’Sharaat is one of the most authentic of suppliations. It is mustahab to recite every morning and evening, though the best time for it is after Asr prayer on Friday. Imam Ali (as) taught Imam al-Husayn (as) this supplication. This supplication has been named al-\'Asharat [tens], because its final phrases should be repeated ten times each.
