[02 June 2012] West after military intervention in Syria: Webster Tarpley - English
A Syrian government investigation into the Houla massacre has shown that anti-Damascus armed groups were responsible for the killings in the Syrian town. The leader of Russia's Communist Party says the massacre in Houla, which killed over 100 people, is an intelligence plot concocted by Western politicians.
Press TV has conducted an interview with Dr. Webster Griffin Tarpley, an author and historian from Washington, to further discuss the issue.

The UN’s special envoy to Syria says international peace efforts have not succeeded, partly as a result of divisions between world powers. This comes a day after US Secretary of State Clinton said Russia and China will pay a price for allegedly supporting Assad. Patrick Henningsen, a Mideast analyst and editor at infowarscom, believes Syria is being used by the US as a proxy to start a war with Iran.

[29 July 2012] Suu Kyi after Muslim free Myanmar - News Analysis - English
More deaths, more silence, more questions asking why. Why has much of the world turn a blind eye to the killings of Muslims in Myanmar? Is this Bosnia revisited, where the international community ignored the genocide against the Bosnia Muslims in the 1990's right in the middle of Europe? Why are we witnessing the silence from political circles, media entities and even Nobel Peace Laureates? And what took the United Nations so long to call for a probe into the killing of Muslims in Myanmar.

Many Yemenis have praised the latest Presidential decrees by President Manousr Hadi.
The decrees will restructure some military units to integrate the armed forces under unified leadership in the context of the rule of law.
The army reshuffle has sparked outrage among members of the previous regime; according to reports, Saleh loyalists have called on Republican Guard units throughout the country to rebel against the latest presidential decrees.

[14 Aug 2012] Experts worried about Iranians health after US sanctions - English
In the official letter to the UN chief Ban Ki-moon, Iran's Charity Foundation for Special Diseases has stated that the country is running short of medicine for rare disease because of sanctions imposed by US. This has affected the Iranian nation as the illegal sanctions are hindering the production and import of such medicine in the country.

Syrian Ambassador to Tehran Hamed Hassan says Damascus welcomes "rational talks" with the opposition, provided that they are held under the supervision of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
Hassan further warned against plots hatched by foreign powers, including certain regional and Western countries, to cause instability in Syria, saying not only would such efforts threaten the security of the Arab state, but are "a serious threat to the security and peace of the region and certain neighboring countries in particular."
The Syrian envoy further added that continuation of the plots to incite instability in the country can even pose "a serious threat to Arab countries not neighboring Syria".
Syria, which has been experiencing unrest since last year, has repeatedly said that weapons used by armed groups fighting against the government of Bashar al-Assad are being smuggled into the country from Turkey and Lebanon.
Damascus has also accused Saudi Arabia and Qatar, of fueling unrest in the country by funding and arming the anti-Syria gunmen.
Syria has been the scene of deadly unrest since mid-March, 2011 and many people, including large numbers of army and security personnel, have been killed in the violence.
Press TV has conducted an interview with William Jones with the Executive Intelligence Review from Washington to further discuss the issue.
