The Syrian army has confiscated israeli-made weapons in its latest operations against foreign-backed insurgents.
Israeli weaponry-- including missiles-- have been seized in an operation in the central city of Tadmur in Homs province. A command centre of Takfiri militants has also been destroyed in the suburbs of the capital Damascus. Elsewhere, government forces have killed several Saudi militants in the strategic region of Qalamun. The army has in recent days gained the upper hand in the weeks-long battle in the area, which had been used as a base for militant operations around Damascus.

Turkey has sent over 47 tons of weaponry to insurgents in Syria since June.
Based on UN records, Turkey has sent varying amounts of guns to militant groups in Syria, with the highest reaching nearly 29 tons in September. The Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman initially denied the statistics but later confirmed that the UN numbers were based on previous records from the Turkish Statistics Institute. Back in November, authorities seized nearly 1-thousand rocket heads after searching a truck in the southern city of Adana. At the time, the city\\\'s governor claimed that the operation proved Turkey was not supporting radical groups in Syria.

Iran is taking a government-owned British company to the High Court over purchased weaponry that was never delivered.
According to a report by The Independent, Tehran is pushing for six hundred fifty seven million dollars in compensation. The dispute goes back to 35 years ago when the deposed Shah of Iran paid the International Military Services 1 billion dollars for Chieftain battle tanks and repair vehicles. The arsenal was, however, not fully delivered, as a result of the 19-79 Islamic Revolution. A spokesman for the British Ministry of Defense has said that they hope a settlement could be reached before legal proceedings begin. He also said no money will be paid to Iran while the EU sanctions remain in place. The European Union Council has already suspended part of the sanctions following the interim nuclear deal between Tehran and world powers in November 2013.

Attacking Iran will be a strategic mistake! It will naturally call for retaliation from the Islamic Republic. The world today cannot afford a war. With advanced weaponry, there is too much at stake for the entire world population. The war-mongering policies of America will threaten world peace and security. If America attacks Iran, there are five potential areas of retaliation that Iran may engage in. America must think twice before attacking yet another sovereign nation!

Would you accept being implanted with an implantable RFID chip And as far as the Fourth Reich. Well it can certainly be said that Germany is faring far better economically than all of Europe. Although Germany does not have a standing Army they do happen to supply most of Europe and other country with various kinds of advanced weaponry. Who knows what cards will be dealt and when, but mark my words Germany is going to be a most vital player. Germany also ties in with the Vatican.

The United States arms sales to the Middle Eastern countries will eventually boomerang on the US, a political analyst tells Press TV.
His comment comes as the US has recently finalized a 30-billion-dollar deal with Saudi Arabia as part of a 60-billion-dollar contract, first unveiled in October 2010.
The US has also signed a deal to sell about USD 3.5 billion worth of arms to the United Arab Emirates.
“The sales of such high technology to unstable regimes in the Middle East region such as Saudi Arabia or United Arab Emirates, is something that is going to backfire on the United States,” said Nader Mokhtari political commentator and journalist.
“You have to take into account that these countries are not run via political operatives like other countries,” the Tehran-based analyst said, adding that they are run 'like family-run businesses.'
The US has demonstrated support for popular uprisings in the Middle East while at the same time propping up their authoritarian regimes by selling them billions of dollars worth of various types of weaponry.
In its Yearbook 2010, the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) stated that the US accounts for 43 percent of world military spending and 30 percent of global arms exports, making it the world's leader in both categories.
US arms sales to the Persian Gulf countries has reached USD 123 billion, with a USD 67.8 billion package for Saudi Arabia, USD 35.6 billion for the United Arab Emirates, USD 12.3 billion for Oman and USD 7.1 billion for Kuwait.

[06 Aug 2012] Panetta raises threat of military attack on Iran Galloway - English
US Defense Secretary Leon Panetta has raised the threat of a military attack on Iran regarding its nuclear energy program in an effort to reassure what they call Israel during a trip to Tel Aviv. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu seems to dismiss the tough talk though, saying American statements of solidarity with Israel and hints at military attacks are not working. Iran however has denied the Western accusations that Tehran is seeking a military objective in its nuclear energy program. According to a Fatwa from the Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei Iran is prohibited to follow such an objective. Russian President Vladimir Putin was in London on Thursday to discuss the Syrian issue with David Cameron. So far, Russia and China have opposed any kind of UN resolution that could be seen as supporting Libyan-style Western military intervention. "Britain has retaliated in part by blocking a Russian arm shipment to Syria but the weaponry keeps getting through at least to those favored by the West," said George Galloway.

Nasrallah defends Hezbollah fighting extremists in Syrian town of Qusayr
Hezbollah Secretary-General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah has defended the Lebanese resistance movement\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s decision to fight foreign-backed militants in the Syrian border town of al-Qusayr.
Nasrallah made the remarks on Saturday during a ceremony marking the 13th anniversary of the withdrawal of Israeli troops from southern Lebanon, known as the Liberation Day.
The Hezbollah leader said if foreign-backed militants win the war on Syria, they will turn their weapons on Lebanon.
Nasrallah further pointed out that the extremist Salafist groups form the backbone of the unrest in Syria, adding that the US-backed armed groups are also a threat to all Lebanese communities.
The Syrian army pressed ahead to liberate al-Qusayr in Homs Province fully from the foreign-backed militants on Saturday, seizing al-Daba\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'a military airport north of the town.
The army also regained control of the Ba\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'ath Party headquarters in the strategic town that borders Lebanon, killing large numbers of foreign-backed militants. The government forces have inflicted losses on the militants and destroyed their weaponry and equipment.
Nasrallah said the ongoing war in Syria is part of an American project to change the balance of power in the region in favor of the Israeli regime.
He, however, promised victory against the Salafist groups in Syria.
\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"I say to all the honorable people, to the Mujahedeen, to the heroes: I have always promised you a victory and now I pledge to you a new one\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" in Syria, he said.
\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"We will continue along the road ... bear the responsibilities and the sacrifices. This battle is ours ... and I promise you victory,\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" he said.
The leader of the resistance movement also dismissed accusations that Hezbollah is a sectarian movement.
