The Folding Egg activity is actually an extension of the classic Rubber Egg experiment with a really fun twist. Just imagine the look on your friends\' faces when you show them an egg and then proceed to fold it in half several times until it forms a small white ball! Wait... it gets better. Just bounce the \"folded egg\" between your hands and the egg reappear.
How does it work?
The acetic acid in the vinegar breaks down the calcium carbonate in the eggshell, and the bubbles that form on the surface of the egg are carbon dioxide gas. Eventually the hard shell of the egg disappears entirely and all that remains is the egg membrane. Because you have already blown out the contents of the egg, the membrane is just full of air. You can fold it up and the air will sneak out the tiny hole in the membrane you used to blow out the egg. The membrane will compress down into practically nothing. As you gently shake the \"folded egg,\" the air will re-enter the membrane, expanding back into its original shape and volume.

400+ Shia Muslims killed in Makkah during Hajj 1987 - Persian

A violent clash between Shia pilgrims and demonstrators and the Saudi Arabian security forces during the Hajj pilgrimage, which led to the deaths of over 400 people, occurred in Mecca on 31 July 1987.
Since 1981, Iranian pilgrims had held an annual demonstration against Israel and the United States.
For years, Iranian pilgrims had tried to stage demonstrations called \"Distancing Ourselves from Mushrikīn\" (برائت از مشرکين) in the Muslim holy city of Mecca during the hajj. These demonstrations had their origins in 1971, when Imam Khomeini instructed his Shiite followers to distribute political messages when performing their pilgrimage.
Saudi security personnel reportedly opened fire on the demonstrators killing 402 pilgrims and 649 wounded.
Iranian officials displayed the bullet wounds in the victims\' bodies, which proved that the Saudis had indeed used firearms.

What is more painful is that, incidentally, there are few events in history that are as rich as the event of Karbala\\\\\\\' from the viewpoint of reliable sources. Formerly I used to imagine that the basic reason for the proliferation of legends in this field is that the actual events are not known to anybody. But when I studied I found that no event of remote past-for instance of a period thirteen or fourteen centuries ago-has as reliable an history as the event of Karbala\\\\\\\'. Reliable Muslim historians have reported the pertinent episodes with trustworthy chains of transmission from the first/seventh and the second/eighth centuries, and their narrations are close and corroborate one another.
There were certain reasons which were responsible for the preservation of these details in history. One of them, which caused the details of this event to be preserved and its objectives to remain clear, were the many speeches (khutbahs) that were delivered during its course. In those days, an oration was what communiques and press releases are in our era. In the same way that official communiques issued during wartime are the best historical source, so were orations in these days. Accordingly, there were many of them before the event of Karbala\\\\\\\', during, and after it. Individuals from among the Prophet\\\\\\\'s household made orations in Kufah, Damascus and other places. Basically, their aim by delivering these orations was to inform the people about the episodes as well as to declare the truth of the matter and to spell out the goals. This was itself one of the reason for the events to be reported.
There were also many exchanges, questions and answers, in the event of Karbala\\\\\\\' and these are recorded in history. They too disclose for us the nature of the occurrences.
Rajaz poetry was also recited a lot during Karbala\\\\\\\', and, in particular Abu \\\\\\\'Abd Allah (\\\\\\\'a) himself recited much rajaz, and these rajaz verses also reveal the character of the confrontation.
There were many letters that were exchanged before and after the episode of Karbala\\\\\\\', letters that were exchanged between the Imam and the people of Kufah, between the Imam and the people of Basrah, the letters that the Imam wrote earlier to Mu\\\\\\\'awiyah (which indicate that the Imam was preparing for an uprising after Mu\\\\\\\'awiyah\\\\\\\'s death), the letters that the enemies wrote to one another, Yazid to Ibn Ziyad, Ibn Ziyad to Yazid, lbn Ziyad to \\\\\\\'Umar ibn Sa\\\\\\\'d, \\\\\\\'Umar ibn Sa\\\\\\\'d to Ibn Ziyad, whose texts are all recorded in the history of Islam.

Hence the developments relating to Karbala\\\\\\\' are quite clear and all of them are throughout a matter of great honor and pride. But we have disfigured this shining historic event to such an extent and have committed such a monstrous treachery towards Imam Husayn (\\\\\\\'a) that if he were to come and see, he will say, \\\\\\\'You have changed the entire face of the event. I am not the Imam Husayn that you have sketched out in your own imagination. The Qasim ibn Hasan that you have painted in your fancy is not my nephew. The \\\\\\\'Ali Akbar that you have faked in your imagination is not my aware and intelligent son. The companions that you have carved out are not my companions.\\\\\\\"
We have fabricated a Qasim whose only desire is to become a bridegroom and whose uncle\\\\\\\'s wish, too, is to have him wedded. Contrast this one with the historical Qasim. Reliable histories report that on the night of \\\\\\\'Ashura\\\\\\\' the Imam (\\\\\\\'a) gathered his companions in a tent whose location, as described by the phrase \\\\\\\'inda qurbil-ma\\\\\\\', was the place where water used to be kept, or near it. There he delivered that very well-known sermon of the night preceding \\\\\\\'Ashura\\\\\\\'. I do not want to mention its details here, but, to put it briefly, in this sermon the Imam told them that every one of them was free to depart and leave him to confront the enemy alone. The Imam did not want anybody to stay just for considerations of courtesy or to remain out of compulsion, or even to think that they were obliged to do so by virtue of the allegiance (bay\\\\\\\'ah) they had given him. Hence he tells them, \\\\\\\"You are all free, my companions, members of my family, my sons, and my nephews-everyone-to leave without being liable to anything. They [i.e. the enemy\\\\\\\'s forces] have nothing against anyone except me. The night is dark. Take advantage of the darkness of the night and depart. They will definitely not stop you.\\\\\\\" At first, he expresses his appreciation for them and tell them, I am most pleased with you. I do not know of any companions better than mine, and no better relatives than the members of my family.\\\\\\\"
But all of them tell him, in unison, that such a thing was impossible. What answer will they give to the Prophet on the Day of Resurrection? What will happen to loyalty, to humanity, to love and attachment? Their ardent responses and their words said on that occasion melt a heart of stone and are most moving. One of them says, \\\\\\\"Is one life worth enough to be sacrificed for someone like you? I wish that I were brought to life seventy times to die seventy time for your sake.\\\\\\\" Another says, \\\\\\\"I would lay down a thousand lives for your sake if I had them.\\\\\\\" Another says, \\\\\\\"If I were to sacrifice my life for you and my body were burnt to ashes and the ashes were cast to wind, and were this done a hundred times, I would still love to die for your sake.\\\\\\\" The first to speak was his brother Abu al-Fadl, and then the Imam changed the subject and told them about the events of the next day, informing them that they all would be killed. All of them receive it as a great good news.

Tunisian Ex-Jihadist Tells Tunisian TV Why he Stopped Fighting Alongsid the FSA in Syria
This mini-report from Tunisian TV station, Delta TV, shows an interview with a 29-year old Tunisian man who traveled to Syria and fought alongside the \"Free Syrian Army\" (FSA) against the Syrian Army. He explains why he stayed there for slightly over a month and decided to return back to his home country instead of remaining there for Jihad, as is the case with other young Tunisians who were sent to Syria mainly by their imams (clerics).
The interview corroborates some of other eyewitness accounts that accuse the FSA of committing massacres in order to frame the Syrian Army. He also states that no medical treatment was given to any foreign (Arab) Jihadist, which meant that any injury could end up in death. He also acknowledges that these Jihadis are being used as cannon fodder to fight a war by proxy.

An analyst says the United States of America only offers a simple apology when Washington\'s assassination drones, which have recently been used on a daily basis, \'mistakenly kill\' innocent civilians.
The comment comes as Washington has been using its assassination drones in Yemen, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Somalia, claiming that they target the terrorists. The attacks, however, have mostly led to massive civilian casualties.
This is while the US-imposed Yemeni President Abdu Rabu Mansour Hadi praised the American targeted killing bid across his country in a September visit to Washington.
\"They pinpoint the target and have zero margin of error, if you know what target you\'re aiming at,\" Hadi said at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars.
Press TV has conducted an interview with Hisham Jaber, Director of Center for Middle East Studies, to further discuss the issue.

Koobideh Kabob Recipe:
This is sister\'s Sameera and Sepeedeh\'s recipe
I made some changes in the recipe on the video!
8 Servings
Ingredients:
2 lb of the ground lamb or beef (my mom says it would be best if you have a mix of both types of meat)
2 onions grated and strained (mom says its really important to make sure there is no onion juice. Squeeze all the juice as much as possible before adding)
1 large egg (beaten)
5 medium tomatoes to be used for later when grilling or baking
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon red pepper tablespoon (optional)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional, mom adds it in sometimes. Also if you wanna add fresh garlic, ground 2 cloves into meat mixture.)
Directions:
Mix meat, onions, egg, salt and pepper(s) wellz Make sure to massage it throughly. Leave in the refrigerator overnight (or for several hours but its best to leave it for longer).
Press the meat around long, thick metal skewers. This is the difficult part. Make sure not to put too much meat on each skewer. It\'s taken lots of practice for my mom to perfect how much meat to put on each one. Make sure the skewers are thick as well. If they\'re too thin, the meat won\'t hold. Thread whole tomatoes on another skewer. Barbeque each side for about five minutes, turning frequently. If skewers are not available or barbequing is not possible, kabab-e koobideh can be shaped into long, thin portions on aluminum foil and grilled at high temperature in the oven.
Serve with hot Saffron rice or on middle-eastern bread. If serving with rice, add a little sumac on top.
This dish goes really well with the rice dish, so make sure you check out this link!

O Allah! Send blessing on Muhammad and on the children of Muhammad.
In the name of Allah the Beneficent, the Merciful.
\"Bismillah\" words that seekers of sanctuary repeatedly recite, word that the very cautious, in search of protection, often repeat. for the I seek refuge with Allah, the Exalted above all, from the oppression of the unjust, from the deceitful malice the envious (use) to lay snares and traps, from the injustice and outrage of the tyrants, and I sing His praise, do better and go beyond other praisers.
O Allah, Thou art One, has no partner; and is the Lord—Master, without being made; there is no discrepancy or nonsense in Thy commands, nor there is lawlessness in Thy Kingdom, I beseech Thee, to send blessings on Muhammad, Thy servant, Thy Messenger; to let me ask Thee for enlightenment and inspiration so as to be thankful for Thy bounties, which alone get Thy approval ultimately; to help me to obey Thee, and instinctively worship Thee; and make me deserve Thy rewards on account of Thy very kind patronage; and have mercy on me and prevent me from breaking in the bounds of (Thy) prohibitions, as far as I am kept alive, and show the way unto that which is useful and advantageous till I go on (survive); to let me take to heart the meanings of Thy Book, and, by its reading, throw down the heavy burden (of sins), and receive welfare and salvation, as a gift; let not my family and friends, who love me, leave me alone, let Thy favours reach me, in abundance, during the remainder of my life, exactly as they used to be made available for me, in full in the days gone by, O the Most Merciful.
O Allah! Send blessings on Muhammad and on the children of Muhammad

Pingu is painting a picture while his mom is ironing clothes, but then the telephone rings and Pinga answers the phone, Pingu\'s mom rushes Pinga off the phone - it is Grandpa who\'s suffering measles. Pingu tells Pinga not to mess up his painting but Pinga throws red on it. Pingu gets really angry at Pinga and she runs away from Pingu. They go to Grandpa\'s house, but Pinga blocks the door so Pingu can\'t get out. Pingu backs up and rushes the door, but Pinga has moved away and he falls flat on the ground. They all go to Grandpa\'s house and while Mother tries treatments, Pingu and Pinga run around babbling and dancing, possibly to entertain Grandpa, but end up annoying him. Mother lectures them and tells them to be quiet, but they pretend to cook something in a pot and the lid falls off. Mom tells them to stop messing about and again tells them to be quiet, but they play dress-up while Pingu is on a sled and they crash into the drawer. Pingu\'s mom, exasperated, makes them go outside, where Pingu finds a board and puts it above a giant wad of snow to play seesaw. Mother, exasperated again, tells them to stop. Pingu then kicks snowballs into the door and kicks one into Mother. She finally has had enough of their behavior and tells them to go home. They then use markers to make fake spots and then call Mother. She comes home, lifts the bed sheets and finds them all spotty, like the measles. When Mother rubs their heads she finds out they have used crayon and they try it on Mother. When she jumps on the bed in the ending, she breaks it (much to Pingu\'s surprise). They then laugh.

Mother has hung out some washing, with help from Pingu. Mother has just gone back inside the igloo when the wind suddenly gets up, so Pingu decides to have some fun on an ice-surfer. He builds this himself, making the platform and mast from some stuff he finds in the shed, and for a sail using one of Mother\'s clean sheets that she has just hung out to dry. After some fun zooming around, while going up a hill the wind suddenly stops and Pingu and his ice-surfer go crashing back down. The sheet he\'s used for the sail is now filthy. Pingu mournfully goes back home, is told off by his mother for dirtying the sheet, and has to clean it. As he is doing this, with not very much success, Robby comes along. By swish-swashing his tail, Robby very quickly gets the sheet spotless. Mother is very pleased by the result, and Pingu and Robby share a fish given to them by Mother as a reward. Pingu asks Mother if she would like a bit, but she doesn\'t.

A demonstration was held in the village of Al Walaja, Bethlehem, against Israel\'s plans to build a wall that will encircle the village and isolate the residents from Bethlehem.
When the wall is complete, there will be one entrance into the village where 500 people reside, that will be guarded by Israeli soldiers. The entrance will isolate the villagers from the nearby village of Beit Jala and the centre of Bethlehem.
The protesters marched towards the gate where they were met with Israeli soldiers who forbade them from passing.
The Israeli soldiers then attacked the protesters using sound grenade and tear gas. They then sprayed one protester directly in the eyes with pepper spray.
Munder continued to explain how this would personally affect the residents of Al Walaje village.
This is the third gate that has been erected in the village, two of which have been closed by the Israeli army. On Wednesday, the al Walaja village council stated that the new gate would cause serious issues as the road us used regularly by the residents and it will block them from farming their agricultural land nearby. It will furthermore prevent school children from accessing their local school in Beit Jala.
The villagers and Popular committee have called upon international human rights groups to take immediate action to remove the Israeli gate.
As you can see this gate behind us is now isolating the villagers of al Walaja from Bethlehem and they are now planning on building a wall that will completely encircle al Walaja village separating and isolating them inside.

A rising death toll, new reports of atrocities by the insurgents, suspicion that chemical arms may have been used, and a dual approach by the UK and US in particular, calling for a Geneva-style conference, yet throwing more aid to the insurgents on the ground, the Israeli threat of yet another attack should Assad fall are just some of the topics we will cover in this edition of the show.

Presidential candidate Hassan Rohani says the US-engineered sanctions against Iran are illegal, because the West acknowledged the peaceful nature...
Presidential candidate Hassan Rohani says the US-engineered sanctions against Iran are illegal, because the West acknowledged the peaceful nature of Iran\\\'s nuclear energy program almost nine years ago.
In a televised speech on Monday, Rohani said \\\"the Board of Governors [of the International Atomic Energy Agency] unanimously confirmed the peaceful nature of Iran\\\'s nuclear energy program in November 2004.\\\"
\\\"We did not allow the nuclear dossier to be referred to the Security Council. In the course of one year, we proved the peaceful nature of our nuclear energy program,\\\" the presidential candidate stated.
Rohani said that from October 2003 to August 2005 -- his term as Iran\\\'s top nuclear negotiator -- the country\\\'s policy, under the supervision of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, was to repel threats and \\\"to convert them to opportunities\\\" in order to disprove Western allegations that Iran is pursuing military objectives in its nuclear energy program, and to foil Washington\\\'s plots against the Islamic Republic.
\\\"The US wanted to say that Iran is after a [nuclear] bomb. We wanted to prove that the US was lying. Iran was not pursuing a bomb, nor is it today or will it be tomorrow, because the Leader has said it is a grave sin,\\\" the director of the Strategic Research Center of the Expediency Council said.
The United States, Israel, and some of their allies have repeatedly accused Iran of pursuing non-civilian objectives in its nuclear energy program and have used the unfounded accusation as a pretext to impose illegal sanctions on the Islamic Republic.
Iran rejects the allegations, arguing that as a committed signatory to the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and a member of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), it has the right to use nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.
In addition, the IAEA has conducted numerous inspections of Iran\\\'s nuclear facilities but has never found any evidence showing that Iran\\\'s civilian nuclear program has been diverted to nuclear weapons production.
In Iran\\\'s June 14 presidential election, Rohani will be competing against Supreme National Security Council Secretary Saeed Jalili, MP Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel, Expediency Council Secretary Mohsen Rezaei, former First Vice President Mohammad-Reza Aref, Tehran Mayor Mohammad-Baqer Qalibaf, former Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Velayati, and former Telecommunications Minister Mohammad Gharazi.
The president of Iran is elected for a four-year term in a national election, and the Guardian Council vets the candidates.

UNESCO has awarded its annual peace prize to French President Francois Hollande, following his decision to invade Mali without UN approval in order to support a regime installed by a military coup. Hollande claims the war was necessary to prevent a couple thousand religious extremists from conquering a nation of 15 million people.
Since 1960 the French military has intervened in Africa almost 60 times, but until now they had never won a peace prize for their efforts. There has been vast criticism over UNESCO\'s choice on multiple levels. Many feel UNESCO ignored how the Malian intervention fits in the context of France\'s imperialist history in West Africa, and also how Hollande has openly admitted that the Mali war is needed to safeguard French business interests in the region.
Many are concerned that UNESCO is being used to legitimize a so-called \"just war\", a concept that denies the importance of peaceful diplomacy and makes hasty foreign interventions acceptable.

The battle for Qusayr is over. The Syrian Army is now in full control of what the foreign-backed opposition called \"the backbone of the revolution\". Video footage from the previous night when the city was under the insurgents\' control reveals a lot about the nature of the battle that represents a turning point in the Syrian government\'s fight against the militants. After the sunset on June 4th, The Syrian army intensified attacks on insurgents\' strongholds from various directions. The army took new routes different from the ones used in previous days pressuring the militants and making them leave Qusayr\'s city center into the northern quarter. By then, it wasn\'t long before the militants made the conclusion that the battle is lost and started leaving the city.
