The leader of the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah says Israel and the United States have infiltrated terrorist Takfiri groups operating in the Middle East region and are using them to promote their own interests. Nasrallah, speaking at a ceremony held to commemorate the martyrdom of resistance commanders, noted that the Saudi-backed Takfiri groups are seeking to sow sectarian discord throughout the entire region. He described the al-Nusrah Front and the militants associated with the group called the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria -- or ISIL -- as the best examples of the Saudi-backed Takfiri mindset. Nasrallah defended the fact that Hezbollah members are fighting against Takfiri groups in Syria, saying that the Lebanese resistance movement has not changed its policy in this regard.

Takfiri groups fighting the Syrian government forces have abducted more than 50 Kurds, among them children in the past three days. The kidnapping took place in the towns of Minbej and Jarablus in the northern province of Aleppo. This comes weeks after Kurdish fighters pushed out the Takfiri groups from the region. There has been a fierce battle between the two sides over the control of the region in the past three months. In July, the militants kidnapped some 200 Kurdish civilians in the town of Tal Aran and Tal Hassel in Aleppo. Only a few of the hostages have been released since then.

In a speech commemorating the liberation of South Lebanon from Israeli occupation in 2000, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah blasts the Takfiri Wahhabi mentality that is spreading in the post-Arab Spring Middle East and calls it a disease that should not be ignored. He specifically gives examples from Iraq and Pakistan where these Takfiri groups killed people indiscriminately, not necessarily based only on sectarian affiliation but also based on political views. He also warned that this disease that has been heading to Lebanon poses a grave danger to the Lebanese society at large (Muslims and Christians), including all Lebanese institutions. The Lebanese Army finds tunnels in Sidon. The tunnels connect several buildings controlled by supporters of Takfiri cleric Sheikh Ahmad al-Assir. This comes as the Lebanese troops are also going ahead with their mop-up operation following fierce clashes with the armed followers of Sheikh Assir. The Army is reported to be in full control of the city and the troops have seized control of the radical cleric\'s base. The Lebanese troops have also seized rocket launchers, machineguns and military uniforms inside the base. They are still searching for the radical cleric, who\'s a staunch supporter of Takfiri insurgents fighting the Syrian government. One day after a massive explosion which rocked the Beirut southern Suburbs, hundreds of thousands of Hezbollah supporters flocked to the southern village of Aita Shaab to celebrate the seventh anniversary of the end of the 2006 war. Hezbollah’s secretary general Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah uncovered during his televised speech on the occasion that Israeli-backed Takfiri groups are behind the bombing which occurred in the southern Suburbs last July, and several other attacks against the army and the Shia population in the Bekaa area. Sayyed Nasrallah stressed that Hezbollah will respond. The latest bombing has left some 24 people dead and over 100 injured. Observers believe that such acts are being facilitated by internal sides which are tools for the west and Israel: Sayyed Nasrallah noted that the Takfiri threat is against all of Lebanon and not only a certain sect. The leader of the resistance also warned Israel that it would be defeated by the resistance if it tried to enter Lebanese land again. Participanst from all over the Arab world attended the ceremony and stressed that the victory of 2006 was a victory for all Arabs and Muslims: The village of Aita Shaab was the stage of fierce fighting during the 2006 summer war, which Hezbollah and its supporters believe ended with a divine victory for the resistance on August 14th 2006.
