[22 June 2012] Water occupation - Remember Palestine - English
On December 13, 2011, the French National Assembly issued a 320-page report entitled, The Geopolitics of Water, which dedicated 20 pages to an alleged water war between Israelis and Palestinians. Employing the incendiary term apartheid, the report's lead author, Jean Glavany, accused Israel of usurping Palestinian water sources and showing favoritism to 450,000 settlers who purportedly use more water than 2.3 million Palestinians in the West Bank. This year the UN also reported from the 530 springs they surveyed in the West Bank 30, mostly in areas where Israel retains military control, were taken over by the settlers.
It added that Palestinians currently had limited access to 26 other springs where settlers had moved in and threatened to take control. This month, local security forces in Jenin said that the bulldozers destroyed the well near Beit ad village, north of Jenin. The well belonged to a Palestinian resident of Tubas and provided water for tens of acres in Beit Qad plain. Sources added that a handful of military machinery, supported by two bulldozers were in the area during the destruction of the well. The governor of Jenin, Talal Dweikat, denounced the destruction of the well which he described as designed to fight the rights of Palestinians. Dweikat also said that this issue has come to shape an important worry for all districts in Palestine, especially Jenin which has been suffering continuously from similar attacks.

Syed Hasan Nasrallah : Hezbollah Will Displace Millions of Israelis in Next War on Lebanon - 05 June 2015 - English
Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah warned on Friday of displacing millions of Zionist settlers in any possible war that might be imposed on Lebanon, stressing that the Zionist home front is not immune to wars anymore, and that all the threats waged by a number of Zionist officials lately are part of the psychological war that \\\"we have become accustomed to since the establishment of this entity.

Israeli forces raid al-Aqsa Mosque
Israeli forces have stormed the holy al-Aqsa Mosque in al-Quds (Jerusalem) to disperse Palestinians protesting against Israeli aggressions.
Palestinian officials say the protests started after an Israeli guard shot and killed a 32-year old Palestinian during clashes between Israeli settlers and Palestinians in the Silwan neighborhood on Wednesday.
The killing sparked protests in the area in which at least ten Palestinians were wounded.
Israeli riot police used rubber bullet and tear gas to disperse protesters and chased off those who sought refuge at al-Aqsa mosque, Islam's third-holiest shrine.
There were no immediate reports of casualties or further confrontations.
Despite the resumption of direct Israeli-Palestinian talks, the Palestinian Authority says Israeli settlers have not stopped attacking Palestinians in occupied territories for even a single day.
Ghassan Daghlas, a Palestinian Authority official in charge of monitoring settler activity in the northern, occupied West Bank, says Israeli settlers attack Palestinians and their properties on a daily basis. He says the attacks are premeditated and carefully planned.
Other reports say Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian farms in the West Bank city of Nablus on Tuesday and took away part of their olive crop.

For peace to have a chance, Israel would have to withdraw from the West Bank, which would then become the Palestinian state.
It’s known as the "two-state" solution. But, while negotiations have been going on for 15 years, hundreds of thousands of Jewish settlers have moved in to occupy the West Bank. Palestinians say they can't have a state with Israeli settlers all over it, which the settlers say is precisely the idea.

Down with the US Military-Industrial Complex and its war machine. Down with the apartheid Zionist military outpost of the US+Western Military-Industrial Complex in the occupied Palestine, established in 1948 through genocide, ethnic cleansing and mass expulsion of the non-Jewish native population (90-95% of total population in 1948) and their replacement with European settlers. Long Live the Islamic and democratic awakening of the Arab World against its corrupt US puppet regimes and against subjugation and domination by the US and its apartheid Zionist military outpost. Long Live the Islamic Republic of Iran and the unity of Muslim nations from Bosnia and Morocco to Indonesia and Central Asia. Do not be deceived by the US+Western Military-Industrial Complex attempting to mislead you to believe that apartheid Zionist military outpost in the occupied Palestine is a \\\"state.\\\" Just by importing poor and homeless European settlers into the occupied and ethnically-cleansed land and housing them in the perimeter areas of the apartheid Zionist military outpost does not convert the military outpost into a \\\"state.\\\"
The Military-Industrial Complex opposes Iran ONLY on one basis: Iran\\\'s opposition to the establishment of the apartheid Zionist Military outpost by the Complex in occupied Palestinian territories in 1948 through ethnic cleansing, genocide, and mass expulsion.
The Military-Industrial Complex supports and maintains the most reactionary and backward dictatorial puppet regimes in Saudia Arabia, Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Morroco and Oman but it falsely calls Iran, a constitutional government with presidential term limits, a dictatorship.
Do not be deceived by the Complex\\\'s illegitimate apartheid Zionist Military Outpost, disguised fictitiously to look like a \\\"state\\\" with the disguise provided by the imported European settlers, housed in around the perimeter areas of the outpost, to make it look like a viable state.

The Israeli government has vowed to end systematic attacks by Israeli settlers against Palestinians in the Occupied Territories, but has done little to curb the violence. Now an Israeli human rights group is using technology to tackle the problem.
Israel is continuing construction of new homes for its settlers in occupied Palestinian territory, despite numerous calls from the UN and many national governments to stop the practice, which contravenes international law. The issue is one of the major stumbling blocks to peace negotiations between the two sides.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has promised to crack down on Jewish extremism in the West Bank, but with his government supporting settlement expansion, his promise means precious little to those on the receiving end of the violence.
The reality on the ground is that Palestinians living close to those settlements are facing daily aggression on the part of their Israeli neighbors, while the Israeli security forces turn a blind eye to the attacks.
Some Israelis are critical of the policy which allows this to continue. The Israeli human rights organization B'Tselem is doing its part in trying to curb the violence. It has distributed cameras to dozens of Palestinians to capture glimpses of everyday reality in the occupied zone. The goal is to gather evidence and hold Israeli settlers and soldiers attacking Palestinians accountable, reports RT's Paula Slier.

According to Israeli daily Ha'aretz, the Israeli occupation confiscated Palestinian lands northeast of the Jordan valley and gave it to Kibbutz Merav, inhabited by Israeli settlers.
The Israeli occupation is systematically confiscating land and expelling Palestinians in the Jordan Valley, known as al-Aghwar.
The route of Israel's apartheid wall was altered to secure the takeover of 375 acres Palestinian lands. This annexation have come during the same week as Israel plans to invite tenders for the construction of 2,230 settlement units in East Jerusalem al-Quds and other parts of the West Bank.
The Palestinian Authority has condemned these Israeli plans.
According to experts, a large part of the occupied land belongs to Palestinians who were driven out of the land by the Israeli occupation forces during the 1967 war.
These Palestinians are considered "absentee" by Israel and under the Israeli so-called Absentee Property Law, their lands can be used for settlement activities.
Thousands of acres of privately-owned Palestinian lands were given to Israeli settlers in the Jordan Valley in the 1960s and 1970s, and the confiscation of Palestinian land in the area is still ongoing by the Israeli occupation, regardless of International laws and resolutions.
In most cases, Israel confiscates lands near illegally-built settlements in the West Bank under the pretext of security reasons, but in this case, they have officially annexed these occupied lands.

Hundreds of Palestinian villagers have made a short but symbolic march to the separation wall that Israel has built on their land, a non-violent protests that they regularly undertake.
Equally, the protesters, marching from the village of Bilin, are regularly met with a violent response from the Israeli army.
"The village of Bilin is literally on the frontline of Israel's confiscation of Palestinian land and the construction of its separation barrier," Jacky Rowland, Al Jazeera's correspondent reporting from the village, said.
"Later today the villagers of Bilin will protest the fact that not only they, but also five neighbouring villages, have lost their land which has been seized to build an Israeli settlement.
"This huge settlement will result in 40,000 Jewish settlers living on occupied land here in the West Bank and as Prime Minister [Binyamin] Netanyahu is planning to give the go ahead for even more of these settlement homes to be built," she said.
Netanyahu is set to approve plans to build hundreds of new homes on Palestinian land in the occupied West Bank, before considering US demands for a construction freeze.

The Zionist Story, an independent film by Ronen Berelovich, is the story of ethnic cleansing, colonialism and apartheid to produce a demographically Jewish State.
Ronen successfully combines archival footage with commentary from himself and others such as Ilan Pappe, Terry Boullata, Alan Hart and Jeff Halper.
"I have recently finished an independent documentary, The Zionist Story, in which I aim to present not just the history of the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, but also the core reason for it: the Zionist ideology, its goals (past and present) and its firm grip not only on Israeli society, but also, increasingly, on the perception of Middle East issues in Western democracies.
These concepts have already been demonstrated in the excellent 'Occupation 101′ documentary made by Abdallah Omeish and Sufyan Omeish, but in my documentary I approach the subject from the perspective of an Israeli, ex-reserve soldier and someone who has spent his entire life in the shadow of Zionism.
I hope you can find a moment to watch The Zionist Story and, if you like it, please feel free to share it with others. (As both the documentary and the archived footage used are for educational purposes only, the film can be freely distributed).
I have made this documentary entirely by myself, with virtually no budget, although doing my best to achieve high professional standard, and I hope that this 'home-spun' production will be of interest to viewers." - Ronen Berelovich.

The al-Ghirayib family lives in one of the stranger manifestations of Israel's 43-year occupation of the West Bank: a Palestinian house inside a metal cage inside an Israeli settlement.
The family's 10 members, four of them children, can only reach the house via a 40-yard (meter) passageway connecting them to the Arab village of Beit Ijza farther down a hill. The passageway passes over a road used by Israeli army jeeps and is lined on both sides with a 24-foot-high (8-meter) heavy-duty metal fence.
The same fence rings the simple one-story house, separating it from the surrounding settlement houses.

[29 July 2012] West Bank under fire - Remember Palestine - English
A number of NGOs including UNICEF and the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights as well as Palestinian Al Haq and the Israeli Yesh Din, issued yet another statement on the continued rise in settler violence against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank. The statement which states there has been an astounding 150% increase in settler violence since 2009 comes just a few days after a lethal attack on a Palestinian who was repeatedly stabbed by settlers after just being shot by Israeli soldiers.
A report from the Palestine Center published this year identifies three potential causes for settler violence; it\'s response to Israeli government actions; it\'s a product of demographics and security arrangements; it is a response to Palestinian violence. The report also states that while Israeli settler violence is not new, the extent and frequency with which it is perpetrated today is new.
