One day after a massive explosion which rocked the Beirut southern Suburbs, hundreds of thousands of Hezbollah supporters flocked to the southern village of Aita Shaab to celebrate the seventh anniversary of the end of the 2006 war. Hezbollah’s secretary general Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah uncovered during his televised speech on the occasion that Israeli-backed Takfiri groups are behind the bombing which occurred in the southern Suburbs last July, and several other attacks against the army and the Shia population in the Bekaa area. Sayyed Nasrallah stressed that Hezbollah will respond. The latest bombing has left some 24 people dead and over 100 injured. Observers believe that such acts are being facilitated by internal sides which are tools for the west and Israel: Sayyed Nasrallah noted that the Takfiri threat is against all of Lebanon and not only a certain sect. The leader of the resistance also warned Israel that it would be defeated by the resistance if it tried to enter Lebanese land again. Participanst from all over the Arab world attended the ceremony and stressed that the victory of 2006 was a victory for all Arabs and Muslims: The village of Aita Shaab was the stage of fierce fighting during the 2006 summer war, which Hezbollah and its supporters believe ended with a divine victory for the resistance on August 14th 2006.

A day after the Iranian Embassy in Lebanon was rocked with brazen terrorist attacks; its doors have remained open to receive delegations of visitors who poured into the embassy to offer their condolences. Iran\'s Deputy FM Hossein Amir Abdollahian arrived late on Wednesday to receive condolences for the victims of the twin bombings. An estimated 5 and 65 kilograms of explosive each claimed the lives of 23 people - including Iran\'s Cultural Attache, Ebrahim Ansari and 5 other Iranians - and wounding scores others.

Most of the casualties are police officers. The head of security for Dakahlia was also wounded in the bombing, and two of his aides were killed. Security forces opened fire on tens of thousands of protesters in the Budgam and Tangmarg areas. An Indian soldier was also killed in the violence. The protests were particularly intense following the news of the desecration of the Quran in the US. On Sunday, India imposed a curfew in many areas of Kashmir. However, people have been pouring out to the streets across Kashmir to protest against Indian rule despite the curfews. The latest round of public outrage began after a government forces' teargas grenade killed a teenager back in June. More than 80 protesters and by-standers have lost their lives during the unrest ever since. Protests were held in the region's main city of Srinagar and its neighboring districts despite strict curfews, The Nation reported on Monday. "Death to the US!" and "Death to Quran desecrators!" chanted the protesters, who described the act as despicable. The protesters also called for punishment of those behind the desecration of the Quran. "These are absolutely pro-Islam protests and we demand befitting punishment to those who have desecrated the holy Quran. No Muslim anywhere in the world will watch the desecration of the holy Quran as a mute spectator. This protest is beyond borders and nationalities," a 55-year-old Kashmiri said. Although an American pastor cancelled earlier plans to burn copies of the Quran, other anti-Islam elements in the US desecrated the holy book in New York and in Washington on the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. The protest rallies in Srinagar erupted after local television showed a small group of protesters tearing apart and burning pages from the Muslim holy book outside the White House on Saturday. State Chief Secretary SS Kapur made the announcement in Kashmir's summer capital of Srinagar on Monday. "We have decided to impose a ban on the airing of Press TV broadcasts by local cable operators," Kapur told reporters. The ban comes as Press TV has become popular across the Muslim-majority region due to its enhanced coverage of the regional events over the past three months. Media organizations have strongly condemned the move and demanded that the government put the channel back on air. However, reports say more and more people in Kashmir continue to get their news from Press TV via internet services or direct broadcast satellites. In a separate development, hundreds of Kashmiris have come out to the streets to voice their anger over the desecration of Islam's holy book in the US. Protests were held in the Indian-administered region's main city of Srinagar, and its neighboring districts despite strict curfews in place. The protesters, who were shouting anti-US slogans, described the act as despicable, calling for the punishment of those behind the desecration of the Quran. The protests erupted after pages from the Muslim holy book were torn up and burned in Washington, as well as in other US cities. The move has outraged Muslims all over the world. Meanwhile, at least twelve people were killed in Indian-controlled Kashmir as soldiers opened fire on pro-independence rallies on Monday. Muslim Brotherhood Hails Imam Khameneis Support. A senior member of Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood has expressed gratitude to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei for his support of the Egyptian revolution. Kamal al-Halbavi made the remark in an interview with the state-funded BBC Persian on Sunday night. Halbavi further expressed hope that Egypt would have "a good government, like the Iranian government, and a good president like Mr. Ahmadinejad, who is very brave." When asked about the Muslim Brotherhood's opinion of Ayatollah Khamenei's statements on Egypt's developments, Halbavi said, "Many thanks for Imam Khamenei and all who support the revolution in Egypt." Ayatollah Khamenei said in Tehran's Friday prayers last week that the recent developments in North Africa are the result of "Islamic awakening, which followed the great Islamic Revolution of the Iranian nation." The Leader of the Islamic Revolution made reference to Egyptians' fight for "dignity and honor" and noted that Mubarak's biggest crime was turning Egypt into an instrument in the hands of the United States. The Muslim Brotherhood member added that he wants his country to develop in all spheres "like Iran, achieving more technological and scientific advances and becoming a regional power." Troubled Egypt has been the scene of violent clashes between anti-government protesters and security forces during the past two weeks. Egyptians on Sunday took to the streets on the thirteenth consecutive day of demonstrations, called the "Day of Martyrs," to honor hundreds of protesters killed during the revolution in the crisis-hit country. The number of people killed in the Egyptian revolution is reported to be at least 300, and thousands were also injured in clashes that have rocked Cairo, Suez, and Alexandria, according to the United Nations.

A car bomb rocked the central Mezzeh district of the Syrian capital Damascus killing and injuring a number of civilians. A three-year-old child was also among the people killed there. The explosion, which happened in the heavily populated al-Madraseh neighborhood, also caused material damage to the shops and apartments. Residents of this often-targeted neighborhood say armed men frequently attack them because they support resistance against the Israeli enemy. Elsewhere in the Rukn al-Deen neighborhood in north Damascus several bombers attacked a police station leaving several people dead, many of them the terrorists. More instability in Lebanon. From the north in Tripoli to the south in Sidon and now to the heart of Beirut\'s southern suburbs. A massive car bomb explosion rocked the south of the Lebanese capital causing dozens of injuries and immense material damage. The booby tracked car was parked in the parking lot of a shopping mall. This area which was targeted is a civilian area. Over there you have a shopping mall where people go and buy their goods and you also have civilian buildings. So what is clear is that this attack was aimed at causing a state of terror and fear amongst the civilians.
