Why Khomeini? | Reason 1 | Shaykh Ali Qomi | English

There are some unfortunate people out there that constantly have an issue with bringing up the name and the movement of Imam Ruhollah Khomeini (R).
So why is it that we talk about Imam Khomeini (R) more than other scholars?
What was a unique attribute of Imam Khomeini?
What does it mean when we say that Imam Khomeini had the pain for the Muslim Ummah?
And was this pain limited to Muslims, or did it also include non-Muslims?
Was Imam Khomeini simply sitting in a corner learning or teaching lessons?
And finally, was Imam Khomeini indifferent to the issues facing the Muslim Ummah?
In this Scholar Clip, Shaykh Ali Qomi gives us the first answer to \"Why Khomeini?\"
By the time we\'re done, you\'ll all know the answer to \"Why Khomeini ?\", wherever you are.

What was UN Resolution 181 and how is it related to the creation of israel?
Upon how much of the historic Palestine was the Zionist state fraudulently created?
And what is one of the reasons that many individuals don\'t understand the resistance ideology?
And finally, what does all this say about the legitimacy of the United Nations itself?
In this Scholar Clip, Shaykh Ali Qomi talks about the illegitimate birth of the ethnocentric Zionist settler colonial state of israel, as he talks about \"The Illogical Inception of israel\".

FULL Speech by Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah on Revolution in Egypt - 07 Feb...
Hezbollah Secretary General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah says the Egyptian Revolution will leave an impact on all regional and global developments....
Hezbollah Secretary General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah says the Egyptian Revolution will leave an impact on all regional and global developments.
“It has always been said that Egypt is the mother of the world. This is right and you (Egyptians) who are there, you are the great people who can, with your will and solidarity, change the face of the world,” Nasrallah said in a speech on Monday.
“You are waging the war of Arab dignity. Today, with your voices, blood and steadfastness, you are retrieving the dignity of the Arab people; the dignity which was humiliated by some rulers of the Arab world for decades.”
He explained that the delay in announcing Hezbollah\\\\\\\'s stance was not because of hesitance or any confusion.
Hezbollah was afraid if it announced its stance earlier, the protesters in Tunisia and Egypt would be accused of being moved or controlled by Hezbollah or the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps and they would be accused of serving a foreign agenda, Nasrallah added.
Now that the people are overcoming the Mubarak regime, “We are gathering here to announce our solidarity and our standing side by side in support of the people of Egypt … We are also side by side with the people of Tunisia,” the Hezbollah leader said.
Nasrallah elaborated on some fundamental points about the Egyptian revolution.
“We are witnessing a real popular revolution; a real Egyptian nationalist revolution. Muslims and Christians are participating in this revolution. Islamic factions, secular parties, nationalist parties and all walks of life are participating,” he said.
“This revolution is the result of the determination and commitment of the Egyptian people,” and contrary to the US and Israeli propaganda that say it is just “a revolution for bread,” the movement is also a “political, humanitarian and social revolution,” he pointed out.
Millions of Egyptians have for two weeks taken to the streets across the country to call for the ouster of the Mubarak regime. More than 300 people are estimated to have been killed since the protests began.
People from all walks of life are flooding into Cairo\\\\\\\'s Liberation Square and many have been spending nights at the square despite heavy military presence.
Also in Alexandria, people have gathered at the city\\\\\\\'s main square chanting their revolution will not die.
Meanwhile, the Egyptian revolution coalition has reportedly rejected negotiations with the government of Vice President Omar Suleiman.
On Sunday, millions of Egyptians were out on the streets in the capital and other major cities to honor hundreds of their countrymen killed during the anti-government rallies.
Hostility toward the United States is widespread among the protesters as they hold Washington responsible for Mubarak\\\\\\\'s grip on power. Demonstrators say they will not leave the streets until Mubarak steps down.

One may say that there have been other revolutions in the world, the Islamic Revolution in Iran is no exception. Well, our claim is that the Islamic Revolution is an exception and different from other revolutions. The Islamic Revolution is fundamentally different from other revolutions. With all its shortcomings and imperfections, there is something special about this Revolution. What is it?
The father of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini (R) and the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khamenei (H) explain.

Why have the enemies of the Islamic Republic tried so hard to sabotage and corrupt the university setting?

What happens when when an educational institution doesn\'t bother to think about and plan for the future?
What will happen to the Howza, the Islamic Seminary, if it fails to think about and plan for the next 20/30 years?
If the Islamic Seminary had bothered to think about and plan about the future, 20/30 years ago, what would the present be like?
What are some examples of present-day modern things that have changed the world and could have been managed more appropriately?
The Leader of the Islamic Ummah, Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei, gave us the answers almost 10 years ago; so speed up because we\'re already being left behind.
And does the Howza really want to be left behind as the caravan of time and change keeps on moving forward?
It\'s time for the Howza to start thinking ahead.

==============================
We are at the end of one century and the start of a new century based on the Hijri solar calendar. Even if it wasn’t the beginning of a new century the changes in the world show that a long period of history has finished and the state of the world is changing.
Maybe we couldn’t have said this eight months ago. We couldn’t have said it last year. But now, with the events that we are witnessing in the world in recent months and in the period that we are in, everyone agrees that we are at a turn in history, an expression used by the dear Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
The last century can be called the century of the rise and fall of Western civilization. When I was a teenager, about fifty years ago, people used to say that we are at the end of the world. But this statement was retracted by the world\\\'s most prominent thinkers some time ago. Fukuyama said, “I was wrong when I said the end of history is liberal democracy. We don’t know where the end of history is because liberal democracy hasn’t been successful.”
What do you predict for this coming century? What do you suggest for its name? I have a suggestion for the name of this century. The coming century is bringing a civilization that will replace Western civilization. It will be an alternative civilization to Western civilization, according to many thinkers. Of course, they say this quietly and don’t announce it frequently on TV.
The alternative civilization will be the \\\"new Islamic civilization.\\\" The future civilization will be a \\\"Mahdavi [Imam Mahdi] civilization.\\\" Why am I saying this? Because no one in the world has any plans for the future! There is no thinker in the world to say that the future will be determined by socialism, or by liberal democracy, or to say the future will be determined by a certain lifestyle.
Yes, in terms of technology, they say technology will advance a lot! Yes, it is said that the world’s governments will be saved from dictatorial rulers. Yes, everyone is saying that a new chaos is being created in the world. Everyone says these things. But can the United Nations ensure order in the world? No. The previous century was the century of the rise and fall of Western civilization. The next century is the century of the new Islamic civilization.
It has been narrated from Imam Muhammad Baqir (as), “Our government will be the last government. Because after our government has been established, has succeeded and that great civilization ‘has been raised by God above all religions’ [Qur’an 61:9], no one will say, ‘If I had been in charge, I would have done that too.’” According to Imam Baqir (as), when that government is established no one will have anything else to say. A theoretical vacuum will have existed.
There is no voice in the universe talking about the future of the world for us to evaluate it to see if it is right or wrong! No one in the world says that in the future everyone will go toward Marxism, or that everyone will go toward a certain religion. Except for us. We are the only ones talking about the future! For forty years, we have been answering in religious forums. We have answered doubts. We have answered false claims. There is no longer a false claim in the world for us to answer! No one even has a claim for the future.
Only these minarets and mosques of yours talk about the future. Only you have hope for the future! This is a big celebration itself. And our community must be the one to explain the Mahdavi civilization. Every mosque, gathering, class or book that does not talk about the Mahdavi future of the world, has reduced its own value to nearly zero. Tell me about the future! What will the future be like?

So why is it that we continue to talk about Imam Khomeini (R) more than other scholars?
What verse did Imam Khomeini start his political manifesto with in the year 1944?
Did he have millions of supporters back then?
Did the Howza and the Islamic Seminary fully support Imam Khomeini back then?

The world over has heard the hollow calls of the Western world to free women, while they are in fact the ones who have enslaved and ensnared women the most.
And so along these lines, what was an important change that the Islamic Revolution brought about as regards to the empowerment of women and the youth?
And who are those people who say that the Islamic Revolution was of no significance and made little to no change in the status quo?
Additionally, what social services were the women post-Islamic Revolution doing that earned them the praise of Imam Khomeini?
And finally, would have that been possible during the oppressive western-backed Pahlavi regime?
The esteemed Imam Khomeini speaks about how \"The Islamic Revolution Empowered Women\".

Our condolences to all the people of the world upon the demise anniversary of the esteemed Imam Ruhollah Khomeini (R), the esteemed founding father of the Islamic Republic.
Yet, what was the pre-Islamic Revolution era like in the Muslim World?
And what concepts did the Western world and the colonial/imperialist powers try to engrain into the Muslim masses?
Is Islam only an individual centric religion or something more than that?
What was one of the most fundamental and initial revolutions that Imam Khomeini (R) had to undertake?
What are a few of the categories that Imam Khomeini (R) had to confront and/or transform in order to make sure the Islamic Revolution was to be successful?
And how is the history of Imam Khomeini (R) similar to that of the holy Prophet Muhammad (S)?
What is the cost of \\\'There is no god, but Allah\\\' for the enemies of humanity?
Is it possible to gain the \\\'Dunya\\\' and the materialistic world if one submits to the oppression of the enemies of humanity?
Is Islam a religion that only focuses on spirituality or is it a religion that only focuses on humanity\\\'s daily worldly life?
And what happens when the message of Islam is implemented on a societal level?
Is it possible to have a fair, free, and just society without Islam?
Finally, why were the divinely appointed Imams (A) martyred at the hands of the governmental establishments of their respective eras?
In order to answer these questions and more, we decided to invited Sayyid Muhammad Hashemi from the Islamic Republic of Iran to discuss \\\"Imam Khomeini & The Cultural Revolution\\\".

Ahmadinejads Speech at Azadi Square to mark the 32nd anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has said that a new Middle East will be created in the near future without the United States and Israel.
"I assure you that despite all evil and complicated plans, and thanks to the resistance of nations, there will be a new Middle East but without the US and the Zionist regime [of Israel]," he told the Iranians gathering at Tehran's Azadi Square to mark the 32nd anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.
The Iranian president also urged the arrogant powers not to interfere in the internal affairs of the region's countries such as Egypt and Tunisia.
"What are you doing in Afghanistan? What are these military bases in the region for? Are you compassionate or hypocrite?" Ahmadinejad asked.
He also argued that the West is deceitful in claiming that with the two-state slogan it can pave the way for Israel to dominate the region.
Hailing the revolution in Egypt, the Iranian president warned the Egyptian people to be vigilant, insisting that "It is your right to be free. It is your right to decide your government, and it is your right to freely express yourself about your country and global issues."
"Be united and do not fear corrupt governments, and victory is near," he added.
In Egypt, thousands of people gathered outside the presidential palace in Cairo on Friday after President Hosni Mubarak refused to step down amid repeated calls for his resignation.
Tensions are expected to escalate further on the eighteenth day of pro-democracy protests as millions are to come together at mosques for Muslim communal prayers on Friday.

[05 Aug 2012] Is Saudi Arabia on the edge of revolution - News Analysis - English
As revolutions have taken place in the region, the rumblings have been felt in many places and it appears that the next epicenter could be Saudi Arabia. As the violence continues and claims of abuse and illegal incarceration rise, many question what lies ahead in this repressive kingdom as its people continue to seek equality. Are we on the edge of a revolution in Saudi Arabia?
