The main supporters of militants in Syria have backed peace talks as a means of ending the violence in the country. But at a meeting of the so-called \"Friends of Syria\" in London, foreign ministers and representatives from various anti-Damascus groups pledged support for the opposition and insisted that President Bashar al-Assad must step down. Fresh explosions and gunfire have been heard in Tripoli, as international coalition forces continue to bombard Libya. The country's government says further civilian casualties occured following a third day of allied air strikes. Although some reports have said that the west and some Arab states have already been arming the opposition, yet still it has not managed to bring down Assad's government, but how long can Assad hang on with the most powerful states in the world backing the rebel forces? Several Persian Gulf Arab states and the United States have pledged 100 million dollars to provide salaries and communications equipment for Syrian rebels fighting against the government.

His eminence also briefly spoke about Syria, emphasizing that the situation is getting bloodier. He spoke to those who question Hezbollah\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s stance on Syria: \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"I ask all of you today, what is your stance on the armed rebel groups in Syria killing innocent Syrian citizens?!\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" To conclude his speech, Sayed Nasrallah spoke about Palestine and the importance of the last victory of the Palestinian Resistance in Gaza.
