A new report has been released by the Russian media claiming Israel used a Turkish military base to attack Syria on July 5th.
According to the report published by Russia today, Israeli war planes left a military base inside Turkey and approached the Syrian city of Latakia from the sea. The report says Israelis used this route because they wanted to make sure they stayed out of Syrian air space, in order not to become a legitimate target for the Syrian army.
In a televised interview on Monday, the Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmed Davutoglu strongly denied claims that Turkey allowed Israel to use Turkish soil to attack Syria.

The family of a Palestinian man killed by israeli soldiers has been forced to cancel his funeral, after Israel refused to hand over his body.
The Israeli army says its soldiers opened fire on Yusef after he drove into their base to attack them.
However, his family says that the Israeli army prevented him from entering through the checkpoint on his way home from work. Yusef had become frustrated and drove through, where he was shot and killed.
Yusef\'s father also said, when he arrived home in the evening, the Israeli army had raided his home and arrested three of his brothers who were released later.
This is the second tragic incident for the family, as their other son had been murdered in a similar way just three years ago.
Other relatives of Yusef also told us how Israel failed to meet its promise to hand over the body of the slain man.
The Israelis have refused to hand over the body of Yousef, even after their family was waiting for hours to receive it. And this forced them to cancel the funeral for him, which was due to take place in Abudiyeh village in Bethlehem.

Israel approves the release of 26 Palestinian prisoners under the terms of the renewed so-called peace talks with the Palestinian Authority. The released inmates are considered the second group of prisoners discharged since August. Israeli prison authorities say the inmates will be released at least 48 hours after their names are published. Tel Aviv had said 104 Palestinians would be freed in stages following the start of negotiations on July 30. An Israeli official claimed last week that the move was linked to a deal with the Palestinian Authority in exchange for continued settlement construction in the occupied territories. But the PA has vehemently denied the allegation, saying the construction activities seriously threaten the so-called peace talks, that resumed in July after a three-year halt.

Palestinian investigators accuse israel of being the prime suspect in the mysterious death of former Palestine Liberation Organization leader, Yasser Arafat.
A Palestinian committee charged with finding the truth has accepted the Swiss and Russian reports that show the former P-L-O leader was poisoned to death. During a press conference in the West Bank city of Ramallah, Palestinian investigators said that scientific details show Arafat did not die a natural death. They\\\'ve also pledged to carry out a thorough investigation to confirm all the details and elements of the case. Arafat\\\'s body was exhumed last year to find out the actual cause of his death. During forensic tests, Swiss scientists found a high level of polonium in Arafat\\\'s bones. Arafat died in November 2004, after going onto a coma following symptoms of abdominal pains, diarrhea and vomiting.

The Israeli parliament has approved a law that allows new illegal migrants to be held without charge.
Under the new law, illegal migrants face up to a year in detention. The law also gives Israeli authorities the right to send illegal immigrants living in Israeli cities to complexes called open facilities-- until they are deported or voluntarily go back to their homeland. The first such facilities is due to start operating this week in the Negev Desert in southern Israel. Migrants kept there will have no right to work. Critics of the new law have described such open facilities as prisons. They predict the new law- like the previous one- will be challenged in the Supreme Court. More than 50-thousand African immigrants currently work in low-paying jobs in Israel.
