This video footage is taken from a televised show on Al-Tahrir TV channel (Egypt) showing a guest quoting passages from a book - titled \'al-Iqnaa\' (The Persuasion) - issued by al-Azhar University (one of the world\'s oldest universities & the most prestigious Islamic school) being taught to Egyptian high-school students that calls for the killing of sinners - such as apostates, those who don\'t pray, adulterers, and those who have a punishment set for them - as well as their eating. The talk show host was very surprised and warned that this could be fertile ground for religious zealots who form Saudi-like committees for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice to carry out such acts on Egyptian citizens. The US pledged in 2009 to work toward the abolition of its nuclear weapons but said it would keep them so long as others keep theirs.

Fishermen in Gaza have been constantly suffering under the Israeli blockade of Gaza and have paid a huge price for that . Fishermen along with representatives from fishing and human rights organizations, and Palestinian and international supporters organized a sit-in in tents under the name of \"Free Gaza Sea\" in the Gaza Sea Port to stand in solidarity with fishermen and call for their basic rights the Israeli occupation has taken away. The Ministry of Transport and Communications in Gaza has estimated that the losses of Gaza port stood at $300,000 in the last disastrous cold front. It had previously warned of the inefficient breakwater due to the Israeli prevention of entering cement to strengthen it Human rights organizations have repeatedly condemned Israel\'s massive violations against Palestinian fishermen.Fishermen in Gaza are urging human rights groups and international organizations to support them in their bid to free Gaza waters. This will let the fishermen enjoy their fundamental right to sail freely.

State organizations in Saudi Arabia have desecrated the Holy Qur\'an by discarding over fifty copies in Taif city\'s street sewerage canals. According to a Saudi official in the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, the incident was reported by a local student, who saw the holy books on his way home in Al-Salama district of Taif. The service company that specializes in opening drainage inlets was then called, and dozens of copies of the Quran were retrieved. A photo that shows desecrated books has now gone viral on the internet and social media websites. This is not the first time the Holy Quran has been desecrated in Saudi Arabia. Earlier this year, the move by prison officials in Al-Haer province to insult the Holy Book led to protests in different parts of the Kingdom. The desecration of the holy Quran in a country, which is the birthplace of Islam, has raised eyebrows in the Muslim world.
