A bomb explosion has left at least nine people dead in northwest Pakistan. Scores of others have been injured. The blast took place on the rooftop of a religious center in Peshawar. That\\\'s the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on the border with Afghanistan. It came as more than 8-hundred people had gathered for evening prayers. According to a bomb disposal squad, around five kilograms of explosives were used in the attack. Elsewhere in Nowshera city in the same province, police defused another bomb also near a religious center. No person or group has claimed responsibility for the attacks, but pro-Taliban militants have led a bloody campaign against the Pakistani state in recent years.

Iran is seeking the extradition of terrorists who killed over a dozen border guards and injured several others in the city of Saravan near the Pakistani border.

The head of the Organization for Prohibition of Chemical Weapons the OPCW says Israel and several other countries should join the chemical arms treaty. Ahmed Uzum-ju received the Nobel Peace Prize on behalf of the Organization in Oslo. The Hague based organization was awarded the prize for its efforts to eliminate Syria\'s chemical arms arsenal. The OPCW sent experts to Syria after a sarin gas attack killed more than 1400 people in the Damascus Countryside in August. Both the government and foreign backed insurgents blamed each other for the attack. Later on, the Syrian government agreed to give up the country\'s chemical weapons arsenal to avert a US attack on Syrian soil.

An anti-government protester has been killed and three others injured in a gun attack in Thailand. Officials say the incident happened after an unidentified gunman opened fire at a rally site near government headquarters in the capital Bangkok. It\\\'s still not yet clear who was behind the attack. The shooting comes against the backdrop of mass rallies against the government of Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawat. Protesters accuse Yingluck of being a puppet in the hands of her ousted powerful brother Thaksin Shinawat.

There\'s been a deadly bomb attack near the Iraqi city of Baquba. The car bomb explosion in a suburb of the city killed at least 19 people. Over two dozen others were also wounded. Iraqi officials blame such incidents on al-Qaeda elements operating in the country, and also on the remnants of the former Ba\'athist regime. The latest attack comes as Iraqi security forces are conducting mop-up operations in the western province of Anbar. Thousands of people were killed in nationwide terror attacks last year alone.

In egypt, one student protester is killed and several others are injured in clashes with army supporters at the Cairo University\'s main campus. In another incidence of violence in the capital, a group of students attacked the administrative office\'s gates of the Ain el-Shams University. All this after a two-day constitutional referendum that was hoped to end the deadly clashes across the country. The vote was boycotted by supporters of Egypt\'s former president Mohamed Morsi and opponents of the government. Although vote-counting is still underway, some Egyptian officials have claimed the turnout has exceeded fifty percent of eligible voters.
