He is also the crystallization of an instructive inspiration through which all people, regardless of their religious affiliations, have learned to await a day when a heavenly mission, with all its implications, will achieve their final goal and the tiring march of humanity across history will culminate satisfactorily in peace and tranquillity....... The religion, when it endorses this common consciousness and stresses that in the long run this world will be filled with justice and equity after having been filled with injustice and oppression, gives it a factual value and converts it into a definite belief in the future course of humanity. This belief is not merely a source of consolation, but it is also a source of virtue and strength. It is a source of virtue because the belief in the Mahdi means the total elimination of injustice and oppression prevailing in the world. It is a source of inexhaustible strength because it provides hope which enables man to resist frustration, howsoever, hopeless and dismal the circumstances may be. A senior Iranian cleric has strongly criticized western countries in particular the United States for supporting Israel's aggression. Addressing Tehran's Friday Congregational Prayer, Ayatollah Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani criticized the US and France for arming Israel with nuclear weapons. Rafsanjani reproached Britain as primarily responsible for Israel's occupation of Palestinian lands. The Head of the Assembly of Experts also censured the United Nations for its inaction regarding the situation in Palestine, condemning the international body for having officially divided Palestine. In September 1947, the United Nations Special Committee on Palestine (UNSCOP) reported in favor of the partition of Palestine. On November 29, 1947, the UN General Assembly ratified the suggestion, which envisaged the creation of two states, one Arab and one Jewish. At Friday prayer, Rafsanjani also criticized Arab silence in face of Israeli aggression. He noted that the Palestinian struggle would finally bear fruit, calling Palestinians a model for all resistance movements. Tens of thousands of people have marched through the streets of Beirut, waving flags and banners to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of the third Shia Imam Hessein (PBUH). The outpouring over the martyrdom of Prophet Mohammad's grandson reached to a crescendo in the Southern Suburbs of Beirut, where Hezbollah secretary general Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah gave a speech. Ashura in lebanon has come to symbolize the conflict with Israel.This occasion according to hezbollah and many of the masses commemorating Ashura should serve as a reminder to certain sides not to surrender to the will of Israel. Sayyed Nasrallah once again underscored the importance of not surrendering to Israel, and called on Arab leaders to embrace the choice of resistance rather than negotiating with Israel, which he described as a waste of time. Sayyed Nasrallah stressed the importance the teachings of Imam Hussein who was martyred in 680 AD by his enemies. Imam Hussein's teachings are considered by Muslims around the world as the basis of resistance against what they believe to be the current forms of occupation and imperialism. The Hezbollah leader also said there is a new western conspiracy against the resistance and its people. Many wore black as a sign of mourning and chanted slogans in support of Hezbollah. The element of Ashura and specifically the effort to fight injustice has been considered by hezbollah as one of its main building blocks. Today with an international tribunal that could indict some of its members hezbollah views itself as a victim of what it believes to be international injustice and has set out to confront this with what it believes to be the real meaning of truthfullness.

Saudi Ayatollah Nimr Al-Nimr Dares Saudi Regime to Attack Iran and Declares: We Are Loyal to Allah, Not to Saudi Arabia or its Royal Family Following are excerpts from a Friday sermon delivered by Saudi Ayatollah Nimr Al-Nimr, which was posted on the Internet on October 7, 2011. Nimr Baqir Al-Nimr is from the city of Awwamiyah in the eastern part of Saudi Arabia. He is an outspoken Shia cleric known for his criticism of the Saudi government and his constant call for freedom of religion, equality, and justice for the Shia minority in Saudi Arabia. In 2009, Al-Nimr said that the dignity of the Saudi Shia is more precious than the unity of the land, and suggested that Saudi Shia might secede from Saudi Arabia. Fearing arrest, Al-Nimr currently is in hiding. Nimr Al-Nimr: �For the past 100 years, we have been subjected to oppression, injustice, fear, and intimidation. From the moment you are born, you are surrounded by fear, intimidation, persecution, and abuse. We were born into an atmosphere of intimidation. We feared even the walls. Who among us is not familiar with the intimidation and injustice to which we have been subjected in this country? I am 55 years old, more than half a century. From the day I was born and to this day, I�ve never felt safe or secure in this country. �You are always being accused of something. You are always under threat. The head of the State Security Service admitted this to me in person. He said to me when I was arrested: �All you Shi�ites should be killed.� That is their logic. The head of the State Security Service in the Eastern Province said so himself. [...] �They are still plotting to carry out a massacre. They are more than welcome. We are here. Muslims in the UK have held a conference to discuss terrorist attacks against Shia Muslims in Pakistan. The latest bombing in a bus left dozens dead. On Sunday morning a bomb hit a bus of Shia pilgrims in Quetta, Pakistan. Dozens were killed. It was a timely - if unwanted - reminder for the organisers of this conference in London. Held to highlight the plight of Shia\\\'s in Pakistan - an injustice being overwhelming ignored. it\\\'s hard to put a name or a face to the atrocities taking place in Pakistan. But here just a few of the 20,000 Shias killed are remembered. Young and old. Each with a story. In the end each killed brutally only because of their religion. The latest spate of sectarian violence in Pakistan is not the first - and almost certainly not the last. Sectarianism has always had roots in political motivation... By the 1970\\\'s the Islamic Revolution in Iran and the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan upped the ante. Afraid of the influence of the revolution and mixed with a desire to fight the soviets, tens of thousands of extremists were created and supported by the US and Saudi Arabia. Pakistan is one of the crossroads bearing the brunt It\\\'s hard to navigate through the minefield of politics. America fights the same extremists it funded against the soviets... And their victims are highlighted by the media and politicians in some cases, but not in the case of Pakistani Shia\\\'s. It is grave injustice, a part of a wider problem. That\\\'s why organisers here hope that shedding a light on the reality on the ground, and its causes, will be a first to a proper solution.

And as Imam Khamenei has emphasized, the issue of Palestine is of utmost importance in the contemporary world. Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. And if we are to truly be the supporters of Imam Mahdi (A), then we must strive to end injustice in order to help him bring about a world of peace, equity, tolerance and respect. Al Quds Day is the day to stand for this noble cause. This year, the Al-Quds day rally must be bigger, more impactful and more urgent than ever before.
