13 Aban is marked as \"The Day of Fighting Arrogance\" by the Islamic Republic of Iran. This is the day when Iranian students captured the American Embassy and took the American spies in it as hostages. The Den of Espionage was seized and tons of documents and other material were retrieved that showed that America was conspiring against the new-born Islamic Republic. A plot was being hatched to topple the Islamic System. It is a known fact that the embassies of the United States of America serve as the Den of Espionage in several other countries as well.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khamenei, in his speech on Nov 3, 2020 hailed the bold initiative taken by the Iranian students back in Nov 1979.

What does Imam Khomeini (R) call the hostages that were taken from the American Den of Espionage in Tehran, Iran, also known as the American embassy in Tehran?
What was the only condition that was put by Imam Khomeini (R) for the release of the so-called hostages?
By what adjective does Imam Khomeini (R) refer to the Shah as?
And what was the reaction of the then President, Mr. Carter, as regards to this one condition of the Islamic Republic?
And if the Islamic Republic were to have released the so-called hostages to America, what would have this been a sign of?
The founding father of the Islamic Republic, Imam Ruhollah Khomeini (R), answers as his eminence speaks about how \"The Only Condition Is The Return of The Criminal Shah\".

[08 Aug 2012] Kidnapping Iranian pilgrims crime against humanity - English
Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi has called on the United Nations to act immediately to secure the release of the Iranian nationals abducted in Syria and Libya.
"The Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran calls for the immediate release of its abducted nationals and is of the view that using the hostages as human shields violates... international law and (the) human rights of these innocent civilians," Salehi said in a letter to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon on Tuesday.
"I would like to seek the cooperation and the good offices of Your Excellency for securing the release of these hostages," he added.
A UN spokesman confirmed that the letter had been received but did not offer an immediate response.
On August 4, 48 Iranians, who were traveling on a bus from Damascus International Airport to the shrine of Hazrat Zainab (AS) on the outskirts of the Syrian capital, were abducted by insurgents. Three of the abductees have reportedly been killed. Insurgents from the self-proclaimed Free Syrian Army have threatened to kill the other abductees.
Press TV has conducted an interview with Mohsen Saleh, professor at the Lebanese University, to further discuss the issue.

Reports coming out of Syria say al-Qaeda-linked militants have kidnapped about 120 Kurdish civilians from a village in the northern province of Aleppo, near the border with Turkey.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights says Takfiri militants from a group called the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant entered the village of Ihras, seized the people, and then took the hostages to an unknown location. Sources in Syria say several of the hostages are women. Over the past few months, there have been a number of armed clashes between al-Qaeda insurgents and Kurdish fighters in northern Syria.

Lauren Booth is an English broadcaster, journalist and pro-Palestinian activist. She works for Iran's English language news channel, Press TV.In August 2008 she travelled to Gaza by ship from Cyprus, along with 46 other activists, to highlight the blockade of the Gaza Strip and deliver hearing aids and balloons to a deaf school in Gaza. Booth elected to remain behind in Gaza, and was subsequently refused entry into both Israel and Egypt. He was also special envoy to Iraq to negotiate the release of Western hostages. As a commentator in the International and Arab media (e.g. BBC, CNN, ABC, SKY, Al-Jazeera, etc.) on Muslim and current affairs, he has appeared on HARDtalk and the Doha Debates (both with Tim Sebastian), 'Lateline' on Australian ABC and BBC's Newsnight as well as a number of prominent programs on a variety of international channels. US Senator John McCain posing alongside insurgents in Syria! During his recent illegal trip to Syria from Turkey\'s \"Bab Al-Salameh\" border crossing, Senator McCain met with militants that he described as quote \"brave fighters who need our help\".
However, two of the insurgents McCain shared his photo op with were identified by freed Lebanese hostages to be members of the notorious - \"Northern-Storm Brigade\" - a group implicated over the abduction of nine Lebanese Shia pilgrims more than a year ago.
According to the Los Angeles Times the insurgents called on the US Senator to provide them with \"heavy weapons, set up a no-fly zone in Syria, and conduct airstrikes against the Lebanese Resistance movement Hezbollah\".

Lebanese nationals who were held captive by insurgents in Syria now talk about their ordeal. One of them has described the captors as inhuman.
Abbas and ten other Lebanese nationals were snatched by militants in Syria as they were returning from a visit to religious sites in Iran in 2012. He says the kidnappers constantly tormented them during the 17-month detention. The man says the psychological abuse they suffered at the hands of the hostage takers was even worse than the physical torture. Another ex-hostage says the captors kept telling lies to them about their fate to mentally torture them. The hostages arrived in Beirut on Saturday and were greeted by cheerful crowds.

Takfiri groups fighting the Syrian government forces have abducted more than 50 Kurds, among them children in the past three days.
The kidnapping took place in the towns of Minbej and Jarablus in the northern province of Aleppo. This comes weeks after Kurdish fighters pushed out the Takfiri groups from the region. There has been a fierce battle between the two sides over the control of the region in the past three months. In July, the militants kidnapped some 200 Kurdish civilians in the town of Tal Aran and Tal Hassel in Aleppo. Only a few of the hostages have been released since then.

Al-Qaeda-linked militants in Syria have killed at least 50 rival insurgents amid continued infighting among militant groups.
Opposition sources say the insurgents were killed in attacks, car bombings and summary executions by militants loyal to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant or I-S-I-L. Sunday\'s deaths came on the third day of infighting that began when militants of the so-called Free Syrian Army attacked checkpoints and bases manned by the I-S-I-L. The clashes have mostly centered in the northern provinces of Aleppo and Idlib. Opposition sources say the I-S-I-L militants summarily executed thirty of their civilian and non-civilian hostages after their base was surrounded by rival insurgents in the Harem district of Idlib province. Meanwhile, a group calling itself the Islamic Front, which is the biggest insurgent alliance in Syria, issued a strong warning to the ISIL militants, vowing to fight against the group.
