Iran\\\'s ambassador to Baghdad says Iraqi security forces have arrested all those behind last week\\\'s deadly attack on Iranian gas technicians.
Hassan Danayeefar added that the 9 terrorists have all confessed to their crime. Last week, masked gunmen attacked workers at a gas pipeline project stretching from Iran into Iraq, killing 16 Iranian nationals. Violence in Iraq has hit a five-year high since the beginning of this year. The United Nations estimates that at least eight-thousand people have been killed in 2013.

The United Nations is warning that it\\\'ll investigate reports of crimes against humanity in South Sudan.
The warning comes after eyewitnesses unveiled a wave of brutal ethnic killings. UN chief Ban Ki-moon says all those responsible for the killings will face the consequences. He has asked the Security Council to nearly double the size of the UN mission in South Sudan. Since nearly a week ago, the country has been hit by deadly fighting between government forces and rebels loyal to former vice president, Riek Machar. According to official estimates, 500 people have lost their lives in the week long conflict. But independent sources believe the real figure to be higher.

The main aim of this exhibition is to tell the truth about the armed conflict in Syria. Several journalists, taking part in the event, have recently visited the crisis-hit Arab nation and collected exclusive photographs and videos. They\'ve also brought back various objects with them which give the audience a feeling of being there.
Among them is this wrecked car. It was loaded with over a ton of explosives. It is part of the evidence of a suicide bomb attack carried out in Damascus on 21 February just outside the Russian Embassy in which dozens of people were killed. This car was travelling behind a truck which was exploded on that fateful day. Its driver got injured before he could detonate the explosives. The car itself was badly damaged but police managed to removed the explosives safely. The photographers also managed to visit areas targeted by chemical weapons. They saw ruined buildings - including hospitals, schools and churches. They weren\'t allowed to film the actual army operations against militants. However, their main aim was to capture its devastating impacts. The organizers of the exhibition say the people they met in Syria remain hopeful that the conflict will end soon. However, this unique exhibition allows people elsewhere to take a glimpse of deadly carnage and devastations in Syria.

Terror attacks in Iraq claim more lives. At least 37 people are killed in separate blasts in the capital Baghdad.
More than 50 others were wounded in the bombings that hit Christian areas in southern Baghdad. One of the explosions took place near a church where worshippers were leaving. Two other bombs exploded in a crowded market. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the blasts. There\'s been a surge in terrorist attacks and bombings across Iraq over the past year. Authorities believe that the escalating violence is aimed at creating sectarian strife in the country.

What is behind the surprise Saudi decision to provide 3 billion dollars worth of military aid to the Lebanese army?
The announcement of this decision was recently made by Lebanese president Michel Suleiman, after Saudi King Abdullah and French president Francois Hollande apparently agreed on the issue during their summit in Riyadh. The deal says Paris is to play the role of the military supplier, while Riyadh will take care of the financing. No one has so far mentioned that the military aid could be used to deter Israel. Tel Aviv has launched wars on Lebanon ever since its existence but no such military aid has ever been granted to Lebanon. Moreover Israeli officials have not made any objections to this announcement. Hence the logical, widespread conclusion is that this step targets Hezbollah. In a recent visit by Suleiman to Riyadh, the Saudi Monarch reportedly called for the Lebanese army to stop Hezbollah from joining the fight in Syria. Many experts believe that this is a Saudi reaction to the role Hezbollah has played in thwarting Riyadh\\\'s agenda of toppling Syrian president Bashar Assad. Saudi Arabia\\\'s Lebanese allies in the March 14 movement appeared to confirm this view, with members of the movement describing this declaration as a blow to Hezbollah. Meanwhile, the designated supplier of the military aid, France, is believed to be the main force behind the recent E-U decision to blacklist the military wing of Hezbollah. Saudi Arabia is eager to escalate its campaign against Hezbollah, perhaps showing Washington that it can seek support elsewhere. France meanwhile welcomes the 3 billion dollar package, as it\\\'s trying to find ways to boost its austerity-hit economy. Now the main question is whether the deal could possibly change the Lebanese\\\'s anti-Israeli doctrine into an anti-Hezbollah stance?

This is North Wazirstan, Pakistan\\\'s tribal region bordering with Afghanistan, the favourite target of US drone attacks. Drones frequently fly apparently to find and hit at suspected militants but mostly they kill civilians.
There has been a lot of propaganda--- both by the US and Pakistan--- to underreport and conceal facts about the scale of collateral damages and civilian causalities caused by the US drone attacks.

Police were tipped off that the truck belonging to an aid organization was carrying arms for al-Qaeda-linked groups in Syria. But their search of the cargo was prevented by Hatay Governor Jela-lettin Lekesiz, and the vehicle went on its way. Reports say an army post then stopped the truck and found ammunition and weapons onboard. Now the chief provincial public prosecutor is investigating the incident. Turkey is a vocal critic of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and has openly supported the insurgents fighting the government there. Ankara, however, denies arming militants in Turkey\\\'s crisis-hit neighbor. Back in December, local media said that Turkey had shipped 47 tonnes of weapons to insurgents since June.

Russian media reports suggest the UN Secretary General is planning to discuss reports of Saudi Arabia\'s support for terrorist groups in Iraq with Security Council members.
According to Russia\'s Arabic-language TV channel Russia al-Yaum, Ban-ki Moon touched on the issue during his recent talks with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki in Baghdad. He also expressed concern over the rising violence in Iraq\'s western Anbar province. The UN chief urged Iraqi leaders to address the root causes of a surge in bloodshed in the violence-hit province. According to Iraqi media reports, one of the terrorist elements arrested in the country has confessed that Saudi Arabia is providing financial aid to al-Qaeda-linked militants fighting the Iraqi army.

At least three people have been killed as a blast rips through the Lebanese town of Hermel in the northeast.
Medical sources say over 30 others have also been injured, with the number of casualties likely to rise. The car bomb detonated at the town\'s main square, in front of a state building. Hermel is located 10 kilometers from the Syrian border. The town has a pro-Hezbollah majority population and has witnessed numerous rocket attacks by foreign-backed insurgents in Syria. Thursday\'s blast comes barely two weeks after another explosion hit a southern neighborhood of Beirut. Several people were killed and scores wounded in that attack, for which an al-Qaeda-related group claimed responsibility.

Sheikh Akram was the Imam of the Ali Ibn Abi Taleb Mosque, in the Ajamy area of the northern city. Officials accused him of promoting anti-government sentiments in his lectures. The imam\'s family says security forces threw him off the balcony of his house. But security forces claim the imam fell while trying to escape arrest. Meanwhile, security sources in the northern part of the city have killed another protester. The man was killed in Alexandria\'s Janaklis area. Meanwhile, explosions hit outside a police station in the Ramal area of the city. Egypt plunged into chaos after the army toppled the country\'s first democratically-elected president in July.

Another day of bloodshed in Iraq. At least 22 people are killed in mortar attacks on a town south of the capital Baghdad.
Five mortar rounds hit a residential area, a market and a parking lot in the town of Musayyib. Over 50 people were also injured there. The town, which is close to the Shia-dominated city of Hillah, had been a former stronghold of insurgents. A bomb attack in the same town on Tuesday claimed five lives. Reports say over 15-hundred civilians and security forces have been killed since the beginning of this year. That\\\'s in addition to 68-hundred people who lost their lives there last year.

The fuel crisis in the besieged Gaza Strip has forced the residents of the coastal enclave to turn to the Sun to meet their energy demands.
Authorities of this crisis-hit hospital in Gaza have decided to install solar panels to get the most out of the sunlight. They say loss of power for even a minute could spell disaster for the patients there. Gazan officials hope the solar power could play a bigger role in providing energy for the Palestinians. But the solar panels are a bit costly and not everybody in the impoverished enclave can afford using them. Gaza has been under a crippling Israeli blockade for several years now. This has been exacerbated by the closure of the Rafah crossing on the border with Egypt.
