French lawmakers approve burqa ban French lawmakers have ratified a legislation to prohibit women from wearing face-covering veils despite right activist saying such a law violates personal and religious freedoms. The Senate voted 246 to 1 in favor of the bill, which has already cleared the lower chamber, the National Assembly, reported AFP. The law will come into effect if the Constitutional Council does not question its legality. Muslims argue that the legislation is going to discriminates against France's Muslim population, which is already facing rising level of Islamophobia. Once in place, the law will allow authorities to arrest and fine those women who defy the ban. A woman who continues wearing veils will receive a fine of EUR 150 (USD 195) or a course of citizenship lessons. A man who forces a woman to go veiled will be fined EUR 30,000 and imprisonment. France is home to the largest Muslim population among the 27 European Union member states. Nearly 10 percent of the 62 million people living in French is Muslim. In June, members of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) unanimously voted against any general ban against burqa or niqab in Europe, saying Muslim women should be free to choose their clothing. An Islamic TV channel is planning to run an "alternative Leveson inquiry" to investigate the way in which Muslims and Islamic affairs are reported in the British media. The Channel intends to appoint a judge and independent panel of assessors for the inquiry, just like the Lord Justice Leveson-run probe into press standards following the UK phone hacking scandal. The enquiry will examine the link between the British media coverage and the social attitude towards Muslims. The inquiry will follow the public poll done last summer where 29 % of people blamed the media for the Islamophobia and creating a climate of fear against Muslims. The newly hatched larvae feed on mulberry leaves for five days and their bodies, therefore, grow up very quickly to the extent that their skin cannot bear this rapid development and so it's replaced by another spacious one. They must fast for one or two days until their bodies are physically able to cast away the old skin. This process repeats itself five times during the earliest stage before the completion of this metamorphosis over about thirty days. After this it enters into another kind of fasting. It takes shelter in a quiet location to spin a covering for their pupae stage. The larva spins only one thread of fine, strong, lustrous fibre, the length ranging from 400 to 1200 metres and this thread makes a covering called a cocoon, fully made of silk. The silkworm enters into the fasting, no-feeding stage (between the larva and adult in the metamorphosis of holometabolous insects) and during this period it undergoes complete transformation within the protective cocoon. It has now fully developed into a beautiful silkworm moth, which lays its eggs after fertilization. Make it at home and enjoy the good times #HappyCookingToYou Written Recipe: https://goo.gl/3H2Xtm More dessert recipes: https://goo.gl/FZg5wG Khubani ka Meetha Recipe in English: Ingredients: -Sukhi khubani (Dried apricots) 200 gms (soaked overnight) -Cheeni (Sugar) ½ Cup or to taste -Pani (Water) ¼ Cup or as required -Khubani ka badam (Apricot almonds) -Doodh (Milk) 400 ml -Cheeni (Sugar) 4 tbs or to taste -Vanilla custard 2 & ½ tbs -Doodh (Milk) 100 ml -Cream for garnishing Directions: -Wash and soak dried apricots in enough water for overnight. -Deseed the apricots and keep the hard kernels aside and break the kernels with the help of the cutter. -Throw away the hard covering and keep the apricot almond side for later use. -In pot,add sugar and soaked apricots with water and mix well until sugar dissolves. -Cover and cook on low flame for 10-12 minutes or until apricots gets soft. -Add water and mix well. -Cover and cook for 2 minutes. -Turn off the flame and blend the mixture with the help of the blender until smooth. -Add apricot almonds,mix well & let it cool. -In pot,add milk and sugar,whisk well and bring it to boil. -In bowl,add vanilla custard,milk and mix well. -In milk,gradually add dissolve custard and whisk continually & let it cool. -In serving bowl,add cooked khubani mixture,prepared custard and garnish with cooked khubani mixture,cream,apricot almonds & serve. GAZA (Reuters) - A Reuters cameraman was killed in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday in what appeared to have been an Israeli military strike. Fadel Shana, a 23-year-old Palestinian, was covering violence in the enclave for the international news agency. Two bystanders were also killed in an explosion after Shana stepped from his vehicle. His soundman escaped serious injury. Film from Shana's camera showed an Israeli tank stationed several hundred meters (yards) away firing a shell. The film then went blank, apparently at the moment Shana was hit. Earlier, local residents had said the explosion appeared to have been caused by an air strike. The Reuters vehicle, an unarmored sport utility vehicle bearing "TV" and "Press" markings, had just stopped and Shana got out to film, local residents said.
