Iran\'s Islamic Revolution has been commemorated in other countries as well. Ceremonies have been held in Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria to mark the event. The ceremony in Iraq\'s Kurdistan region was attended by Iranian clerics and officials including the head of Iran\'s consul in Arbil. Kurdistan\'s regional officials were also present, including members of the region\'s main party, the Kurdistan Democratic Party. Iran\'s Islamic Revolution was also marked in Afghanistan\'s capital Kabul, and the Syrian capital Damascus. Participants hailed Iran\'s revolution and the progress the country has made during the past years.

Al-Ghadir Day has been commemorated in the Yemeni capital by Shia community, who believe that on this day Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) appointed his cousin and son-in-law Ali Ibn Abi Taleb (AS) as the leader of Muslims more than fourteen centuries ago in the prophet\'s farewell speech. Prominent members of the Houthi community who spoke at the podium, said, that Al-Ghadir day is one of the most important events to occur in Islamic history- in which Ali ibn Abi Taleb (AS) was dignified and givev elevated status by God, the Almighty. The Houthi religious leader Abdul-Malik al Houthi also addressed the gathering via video conferencing from the north province of Sa\'ada. In his 40 minute speech, the Houthi leader highlighted the pressing issues facing the Muslim world. He said he believes the reason for chaos across the Islamic world- is their leaders who often seek protection and assistance from those he referred to as enemies of Islam. Houthis in Yemen say they look to commemorate Al-Ghadir Day every year by calling on all Muslim nations to relinquish dependency on the West. The Day of Al-Ghadir is significant in the Islamic history which is commemorated every year by Shia Muslims in Yemen. This is an auspicious day which many believe brought about the completion of the holy religion of Islam more than fourteen centuries ago.

Every year the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons - or OPCW - hosts an exhibition at its headquarters in The Netherlands to commemorate the people of Sardasht, Iran. In 1987 Saddam Hussein\'s warplanes unleashed a poisonous rain of chemical weapons, killing as many as 113 civilians and injuring thousands more. The victims gasped and vomited as they were rushed to hospitals. They dropped dead on the streets. They cried out as their eyes burned and skin bubbled.

July 3, 1988, Persian Gulf, Straight of Hormuz: The Iranian passenger plane, an Airbus A-300 just taken off from the southern Iranian coastal city of Bandar Abbas. The aircraft is still climbing inside an internationally-recognized route. Approximately, how many pilgrims attended the Arbaeen 2022 procession and from how many countries? What does \'waffling\' mean? And what is the simplest form of charity as related to us by the Messenger of Allah (S)? Was there a media blackout of the 2022 Arbaeen Procession, as it had been done in previous years? What did Imam Khomeini (R) say about the months of Muharram and Safar? What does the Arbaeen Procession show as regards to Islam and the power of Islam? A senior Iranian cleric has strongly criticized western countries in particular the United States for supporting Israel's aggression. Addressing Tehran's Friday Congregational Prayer, Ayatollah Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani criticized the US and France for arming Israel with nuclear weapons. Rafsanjani reproached Britain as primarily responsible for Israel's occupation of Palestinian lands. The Head of the Assembly of Experts also censured the United Nations for its inaction regarding the situation in Palestine, condemning the international body for having officially divided Palestine. In September 1947, the United Nations Special Committee on Palestine (UNSCOP) reported in favor of the partition of Palestine. On November 29, 1947, the UN General Assembly ratified the suggestion, which envisaged the creation of two states, one Arab and one Jewish. At Friday prayer, Rafsanjani also criticized Arab silence in face of Israeli aggression. He noted that the Palestinian struggle would finally bear fruit, calling Palestinians a model for all resistance movements. Millions of people held rallies today to mark Quds Day and to voice support for the Palestinian nation. As the sun reached its zenith, Friday congregational prayer leaders around the planet spoke of righting injustice, particularly the injustice called Israel. They cried and beat their chests in mourning for the loss of Imam Hussein, the Prophet Muhammad's grandson. Hussein was killed in 680 AD along with his supporters by the army of the caliph Yazid in the Iraqi city of Karbala. And ever since, Shia Muslims especially have commemorated the event by reliving the pain and sorrow endured by Hussain and his family. The congregation was told that the events of Karbala are still relevant today in 21st century Britain. And they were reminded that Imam Hussain sacrificed his own life in the cause of justice. Later, a well attended march was held in central London, despite it being the middle of the working week and the miserable weather. As you can see behind me thousands of Shia Muslims are marching through central London to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussain, the Prophet Muhammad's grandson. And according to them, the message of this day is the duty of all Muslims to stand up against tyranny and oppression. The marchers told me that the message of Ashura is particularly relevant in a world where Muslims are still being oppressed. And where sectarianism is being promoted by some parties. They vowed to learn the lessons from this momentous day and to implement them in their lives.

Ashura procession in Oslo on 17 December 2010. Muslims from all cultural backgrounds took to the streets carrying candles in a very cold and dark evening with temperature around -7 degrees. They not only commemorated Ashura but also denounced terrorism chanting Yes to Hussain - No to Yazid - No to Terrorism among other slogans. A few speeches were given at the end of the procession in front of National Theatre in downtown Oslo.

A Conference for Palestine refugees was held in Gaza titled United for Return to mark the 65th anniversary of the Palestinian catastrophe or Nakba. It brought together leaders of Palestinian factions as well as refugees\' representatives from Lebanon, Jordan, Syria and Egypt and the Diaspora. Upon the establishment of the Tel-Aviv regime in 1948, more than 700,000 Palestinians were forced out of historical Palestine because of the threat of being massacred by Zionist militias coupled with the simultaneous destruction of many Palestinian towns and villages.This dispossession is commemorated among Palestinians, as Nakba. Iranians are mourning the passing anniversary of Islam\'s prophet Mohammad -- peace be upon him--with special ceremonies. They are also marking the martyrdom anniversary of his grandson, Imam Hassan Mujtaba, the second Shia Imam. The event is being commemorated on the twenty eighth of Safar-- which is the second month in the Islamic lunar Hijri calendar. Shia Muslims hold special mourning services during the last ten days of Safar. The mourners will wrap up their commemoration ceremonies on the last day of the month which coincides with the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Reza, the eighth Shia Imam.
