Sayyid Muhammad Baqir al-Sadr was born in al-Kazimiya, Iraq to the prominent Sadr family, which originated from Jabal Amel in Lebanon. He was a child prodigy who, at the age of 10, was delivering lectures on Islamic history. At the age of eleven, he was a student of logic. He wrote a book refuting materialistic philosophy when he was 24. Shaheed Sadr completed his religious studies at religious seminaries under Ayatollah al-Khoei and Muhsin al-Hakim, and began teaching at the age of 25. Shaheed Sadr and his sister, Amina Sadr bint al-Huda, were in the end imprisoned and tortured to death by the American dog Saddam and the Ba\'ath party in Iraq. The accusation was that they were working towards an Islamic Revolution in Iraq. The Leader of the Muslim Ummah, Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei commemorates their martyrdom in Arabic language and asks some serious questions, such as, why did the so-called human-rights organizations not raise any voice in support of this Shia scholar? Perhaps it was because of their grudge towards the Islamic Revolution, whether it was to be in Iran or in Iraq.

Al-Imam Ali ibne Abi Talib (a.s), son-in-law, cousin and the first infallible successor of holy Prophet Muhammad bin Abdullah (s.a.w.a.w) was born on Rajab 13 in the Holy Ka'abah (House of Allah) in the holy city of Makkah, Saudi Arabia. His mother Fatimah Bint Assad (s.a), at the time of his birth, was called to the holy Ka'abah and as she came close to it, the wall of Ka'abah became cracked and she was ordered by Allah to enter it. There Imam Ali (a.s) was born and she remained guest of Allah for three days there. After three days she came out of Ka'abah holding little Imam Ali (a.s) in her lap. Every year on Rajab 13, the cracks became new recalling everyone the miracle. For centuries, the Saudi governments have been trying every treatment to conceal these cracks but failed. Dr. Tariq Al-Kateb, who was included in the committee that entered Ka'abah to treat the cracks that became new every year,says that from inside holy Ka'abah there are very clear signs of Fatimah bint Assad (s.a)'s entrance and then exit. Hazrat Ali (A.S,) was born in Makkah on Friday, the 13th day of Rajab, 600 A.D. he (A.S.) is the only unique personality in the world who was born in the Holy Kaaba and was martyred in the Mosque. Both the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.W) and Hazrat Ali (A.S.) belonged to the same clan Bani Hashim. When the time of Ali's birth approached, his mother, Fatima Bint Asad, was asked to enter the Ka'ba. She was explicitly called to enter the Ka'ba, the door of which was locked. She went to the Masjidu'l-Haram. She prayed to Allah in the precinct of the Ka'ba and suddenly the wall of the Ka'ba, which was locked, opened. Another report says that a voice was heard saying: "O Fatima! Enter the House." Fatima went into the House of Allah in front of a crowd of people who were sitting round that place and the wall returned to its original condition. The people were greatly astonished. Abbas was also there. When he saw what had happened, he immediately told Abu Talib because he had the key to the door. He instantly came there and tried his best to unlock the door, but the door did not open. For three days Fatima Bint Asad remained inside the Ka'ba, apparently without sustenance of any kind. This unusual event was the talk of the town. At last, on the third day, the passage through which she had entered again opened, and Fatima came out. The people saw that she had in her hands a lovely child. Both sects (Shias and Sunnis) agree that no one else had ever been given such distinction. The first face that little Ali (A.S.) saw in this world was the smiling face of the Apostle of Allah, Muhammad (S.A.W.), whom he greeted thus: "Assalaamo alaika ya Rasoolallah (Peace be upon thee O Prophet of Allah). Muhammad (S.A.W.) lovingly took him into his arms. The child accepted no other food other than the moisture of Muhammad's tongue, which he sucked for several days after his birth.

Beirut Prepares For President Ahmadinejad"s Visit - 12 OCT 2010 - English

Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has just arrived in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, for a two-day official visit. The Iranian chief executive, who is in Lebanon at an official invitation by his Lebanese counterpart Michel Sleiman, was warmly welcomed by a number of prominent Lebanese officials at Beirut International Airport on Wednesday morning. A large crowd of Lebanese people were cheering President Ahmadinejad and waving Iran's flags on his route to the Lebanese Presidential palace. He is scheduled to address international reporters in a press conference in the Lebanese capital. The Iranian chief executive will then meet with Iranian and Lebanese businessmen. Later the Iranian president will head to southern Beirut to visit the area where Israeli bombs destroyed the location during 2006 war against the state. Many analysts believe that President Ahmadinejad's trip to Lebanon is aimed at consolidating resistance's position against Israel. Earlier, President Sleiman had asked the Islamic Republic to equip the country's army and supply the state with defense industry. The Iranian president is so popular among the Lebanese nation and is seen as the sympbol of resistance against Israel as he has been outspoken, criticizing Israel's atrocities against Lebanese and Palestinians. Iran offered unconditional support to Lebanon after Israel's war on Lebanon in summer 2006, when Tel Aviv destroyed the country's main infrastructure, electricity and water systems.
