The Gulf nation of Bahrain is intensifying its crackdown on pro-democracy protesters. On Saturday, masked police offers broke into the home of Abdulhadi Alkhawaja, a prominent Bahraini human rights activist. He was beaten and detained. We speak to his daughter, Zainab Alkhawaja, who witnessed the attack and is now on a hunger strike. Her husband and brother-in-law were also beaten and arrested in the pre-dawn raid. We also speak to Nabeel Rajab, the president of the Bahrain Center for Human Rights. He is facing a possible military trial for publishing the photograph of Ali Sager, a protester who died while in Bahraini custody. A new video has emerged on YouTube depicting the latest brutality of the Saudi-backed Al Khalifa regime forces against the Bahraini people.
The video shows the Bahraini security forces kicking a door in and firing tear gas into a house only to flee the scene seconds later in their police vans.
Security forces on Friday resorted to violence once more, in an attempt to disperse a rally of anti-regime protesters who have been calling for an end of the Al Khalifa regime, a Press TV correspondent reported.
The anti-regime demonstrations on Friday led to one woman being killed and several others being injured.
Meanwhile, human rights groups have condemned Manama's political ploy in initiating national dialogue, saying the move is aimed at influencing the international community.
They argued that the Bahraini regime is continuing its severe repression of protesters despite the ongoing national talks launched earlier this month.
Human Rights Watch has also urged Manama to probe the dismissal of thousands of workers from state-linked firms and government jobs over participation in anti-government protests earlier this year.
Thousands of anti-government protesters have been waging protest rallies in Bahrain since mid-February, demanding an end to the Al Khalifa rule, which has been in power for over 40 years.
In mid-March, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates deployed their military forces in crisis-hit Bahrain to assist the Manama regime in its brutal crackdown on popular protests.
Scores of protesters have been killed -- many under torture -- and numerous others detained and transferred to unknown locations during the regime's brutal onslaught on protesters.

Bahrain's revolution has continued: In the most recent demonstrations, protesters demanded the release of women prisoners, many of them locked up during more than a year of protests against the ruling regime. This includes Zainab al-Khawaja, daughter of a jailed activist Abdul Hadi al Khawaja, both on a hunger strike, and both detained. Meanwhile, US Secretary State received her guest, the crown prince of the Persian Gulf island of Bahrain, in the US.

Demonstrations have taken center stage in the Gulf, where tens of thousands rallied in Iran and Bahrain against the latter's integration plans with Saudi Arabia. In Bahrain, a prominent opposition leader appears in court to defend himself against charges of inciting violence.
Khalil al-Marzooq a top member of the main Shia political bloc al-Wefaq rejected charges that he encouraged anti-regime attacks in the tiny Persian Gulf country. The arrest of Marzooq has prompted the Shia-led opposition to suspend political talks with the regime. Bahrain has been the scene of a nonstop uprising since 2011. Thousands of anti-government protesters have been staging regular demonstrations on the streets calling for the Al Khalifa royal family to relinquish power. The regime has responded with a crackdown in which scores of people have been killed and thousands arrested.

In Bahrain, tens of thousands of demonstrators pour onto the streets to protest against the regime\'s crackdown on dissident.
The march was called by Bahrain\'s main opposition group al-Wefaq. The protesters called for the release of political detainees. Ahead of the rally, al-Wefaq issued a statement accusing the Al Khalifa regime of failing to implement recommendations made by an inquiry commission. Al-Wefaq has also condemned the continuation of arrests, political trials and discrimination against the Shia majority in the Persian Gulf island. Bahraini authorities have stepped up their crackdown on anti-regime activists over the past few weeks. Several people have been sentenced to lengthy jail terms while other activists have received life sentences.

In Bahrain, demonstrations have been held against the regime\'s violent crackdown and the killing of pro-democracy protesters.
In the predominantly Shia village of Bani Jamrah in the northwest, people protested peacefully over the murder of two protesters by the regime forces. Carrying pictures of the slain protesters, they formed a human pyramid at the end of the rally and waved the Bahraini flags. The village has been the scene of a brutal crackdown, with regime forces opening fire on unarmed protesters on many occasions. Earlier on Friday, the police fired tear gas and stun grenades at anti-regime protesters on the island of Sitra, south of the capital Manama. Since 2011, demonstrations against the al Khalifa regime have been held almost every day in Bahrain. Troops from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates were called in to assist the Bahraini regime in its crackdown on protesters.

Topic of discussion in this edition of Press TV's Comment is revolutions across the Arab world. Egyptian detainees are still being tortured by the military. The Egyptian government is still refusing to allow in George Galloway, but he says he still intends to fly to Egypt despite being threatened with arrest.
He condemns the brutal attack of the Bahraini government forces against peaceful protesters in the middle of the night.
Galloway says that there will not be another revolution in Iran. He says although there are differences of opinion about different politicians in Iran, but in his experience people overwhelmingly support the Islamic state. He says that there are dissenting voices and their views too are legitimate, and they are not all foreign agents, although there are foreign agents there.
