Officials say the incident happened after an unidentified gunman opened fire at a rally site near government headquarters in the capital Bangkok. It\\\'s still not yet clear who was behind the attack. The shooting comes against the backdrop of mass rallies against the government of Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawat. Protesters accuse Yingluck of being a puppet in the hands of her ousted powerful brother Thaksin Shinawat.

At least seven people are killed in anti-government rallies across Egypt, as the country undertakes its first voting since the army\'s ouster of former president Mohamed Morsi in July. Over a dozen others have also been injured in several cities. There were also clashes in front of an interior ministry building in Alexandria. Meanwhile, security forces have stormed the campus of the al-Mansoura University in the city with armored vehicles, and used live ammunition and gas canisters against protesting students. This is the first day of a two-day national vote on the country\'s new constitution, drafted by the army-backed interim government. Under the draft text, the formation of religious political parties is banned. Critics say the new charter only favors the army. If approved, it will replace the current constitution which was passed under Morsi. A coalition led by his Muslim Brotherhood movment has boycotted the referendum.

Bahraini regime forces have attacked anti-government protesters at a demonstration held to condemn the repression. Saudi-backed Bahraini forces fired tear gas to disperse the protesters in the village of Daih, west of the capital Manama. On Friday, tens of thousands of demonstrators took to the streets to protest against the regime\'s crackdown. The demonstration was called by Bahrain\'s main opposition group, al-Wefaq. Ahead of the action, al-Wefaq issued a statement accusing the ruling Al Khalifah regime of failing to implement the recommendations made by a commission of inquiry. Al-Wefaq also condemned the continued arrests, political trials, and discrimination against the Shia majority in the Persian Gulf island nation.

Anti-government protesters in Bahrain are trying to make their voices heard as top international officials gather in Manama for a security conference. Thousands of people rallied in the village of Sa\'ar near Manama and at some points the demonstrators clashed with regime forces. Police attacked the protesters with tear gas and sound bombs trying to disperse them. Senior officials including those from Britain and the United States are attending the two-day Manama dialog forum. U-S Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel will also address the meeting. Bahrain which hosts the U-S Navy\'s fifth fleet has cracked down on protests since the revolution began in 20-11.

An anti-government protest rally was held near the defense ministry headquarters in Cairo. Police used tear gas and water cannons to disperse hundreds of pro-Morsi students who had blocked a nearby road. Similar clashes broke out between police and pro-Morsi students in the Nile Delta city of Zakazik. The protesters demand Morsi\'s reinstatement. Egypt has seen deadly protests following Morsi\'s ouster by the military back in July.

The 20-year-old man had reportedly jumped over the turnstile to board a train without paying. The guard\\\'s brutality sparked underground protests at metro stations in Istanbul and Ankara. Local media outlets say one person has been injured in the Ankara protest. In Istanbul, anti-government activists held up pictures of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan\\\'s son Bilal and shouted slogans against the government and condemning the latest corruption scandal.

Protesters have been calling for the downfall of the regime since the popular uprising started in February 2011. Dozens of people have been killed and a large number of demonstrators arrested in the crackdown since then.

Tens of thousands of anti- government protesters have taken to the streets across the country on a day dubbed loyalty to the blood of martyrs. Protesters gathered in the change square of Sana'a and chanted anti-government slogans, denouncing the US -Saudi brokered deal as it gives Ali Abdullah Saleh immunity from prosecution. They condemned the killing of peaceful march of life calling for the expulsion of US Ambassador to Yemen over his latest remarks. Earlier, Dirald Firstien stated that if two thousands protesters staged a march toward the WHIT house, they would be deterred from reaching it. This comes as strikes are spreading through the capital Sana'a. Government employees staged rallies demanding for reforms and the firing of senior corrupted managers. While, the Military commission plans to continue lifting barricades to the north of capital Sana'a, clashes erupted once again between republican guards and tribal armed men loyal to dissident tribal leader of Hashied Federation, Sadiq Al-Ahmar. During its Tuesday's session, the parliament gave the trust to the newly unity government. Political analysts predict that protests would continue with no end in sight until people's demands are met. The impoverished country has been hit by daily anti-government protests since late January demanding an end to corruption and unemployment. As violent clashes have erupted once again in Al-Hassabah region, threatening the power transfer brokered deal, the protesters call for the continuation of their revolution in loyalty to the blood of martyrs, vowing to prosecute who they describe as killers and corrupted people.

Anti-government demonstrations continue in Egypt as the Anti-Coup Alliance, led by the Muslim Brotherhood, calls for seven days of street action during a Week of Rage. At least one demonstrator has been killed in fresh clashes between Iraqi security forces and anti-government protesters in the western Anbar province. The clashes were triggered after local police moved in to dismantle the main anti-government protest site in the city of Ramadi. The operation follows a deal with religious leaders and tribal sheikhs. Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki earlier referred to the protest site as the headquarters of the al-Qaeda leadership. Manama, with the direct backing of Saudi Arabia, has cracked down on the protests with all possible means.
