Congratulations to the believers on the birth anniversary of the 4th divinely appointed Imam, the Zenith of Worshippers, Imam Ali ibn al-Husayn al-Sajjad (A). Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei very eloquently describes the suffocating conditions in which Imam Sajjad (A) lived in. Yet, despite the suffocating and oppressive era in which he lived, which included the event of Ashura and the event of al-Harra, the 4th Imam continued his Islamic socio-political religious duty in the form of two movements. Imam Sajjad (A) has taught us all that despite the dire conditions, opposing the oppressive and tyrannical government is a must.

Our sincere and heart-felt condolences to the believers of the world upon the martyrdom of Imam al-Baqir (A). Imam Muhammad ibn Ali al-Baqir (A) is the fifth divinely appointed Imam. He was the son of the fourth divinely appointed Imam, Imam Ali ibn al-Husayn al-Sajjad (A) and the Imamate of Imam al-Baqir (A) lasted for nineteen years. During his blessed and auspicious Imamate, a great step was taken towards the organization of Shia thought in numerous fields including, but not limited to ethics, jurisprudence, theology, and exegesis. According to historical sources, he was present at the event of Karbala as a child in 61 hijri. He was martyred via poison on the 7th of Dhu al-Hijjah. Jannat al-Baqi is the oldest and the first Islamic cemetery located in the city of Medina. It is the resting place of many companions, friends, and relatives of the holy Prophet Muhammad (S), including his grandchildren and great children, namely Imam Hasan ibn Ali al-Mujtaba (A), Imam Ali ibn Husayn al-Sajjad (A), Imam Muhammad ibn Ali al-Baqir (A), and Imam Ja\'far ibn Muhammad al-Sadiq (A). According to some traditions, it is also said to contain the grave of the holy Prophet\'s daughter, lady Fatima Zahra (A). Other traditions say that lady Fatime Zahra (A)\'s grave is in the vicinity of Al-Baqi cemetery - unidentified. The iconic and revered cemetery was demolished by the Saudi-Wahhabi coalition once in 1806 and a second time in 1925. Both Sunnis and Shias have protested against the demolition and desecration of this holy heritage site. This latmiyya by Haj Mahmoud Karimi describes the land of sand, full of grief and sorrow, next to the green dome of the holy Prophet Muhammad (S). But worry not, for soon will come a voice that will announce the rising of the son of Fatima (A) and he will rebuild the shrines and mausoleums of Jannat al-Baqi.

Just like other Imams, he became a serious threat for the oppressors and they had no other option to poison and martyr our Imam.
