🇵🇸 Like every year, the AL-QUDS DAY in QOM, Iran was simply outstanding and energizing. 🇮🇷 🗣 Countless people poured out on the Shuhada Ave. that connects the Haram of Sayyida Ma\'sumah (A) and the Musallah Al-Quds. For as far as one could see, it was an ocean of justice-seeking, insightful, believing men, women, youth, and children expressing their solidarity with the oppressed nation of Palestine 🇵🇸. Many elderly were witnessed on wheelchairs and even crutches. 👨‍🦽👨‍🦯 🩼 Subhan-Allah. 🚶‍♂️This was the first-ever year where the English speaking International Students of Qom (SoQ) came together to form a rally of their own and marched towards and joined the Main Rally. A big Al-Quds Day Banner and placards in English were designed, printed, and prepared by our volunteers, especially for the Al-Quds Day Rally. The participants carried the banner and placards throughout the rally and chanted slogans in English. ✊ 🇮🇷 The local Iranian population welcomed this initiative a great deal and appreciated the strong presence of non-Iranians in the rally. Countless people expressed their gratitude towards the international students\' participation in this rally. Some of the comments we received: ✨ \"The entire world should stand against Zionism. And this organized presence of the English speaking international students is simply amazing.\" ✨ \"Due to the international media blackout against us, we don\'t get coverage. Your presence shows us that our voice is reaching outside of Iran.\" ✨ \"You guys show us that we are not alone in this battle against the oppressors.\" ✨ \"The Al-Quds Day is not specific to Iranians. You guys proved it!\" ✨ \"You may be a small group, but you give us hope that the message of Wilayah is being received by you as well.\" ✨ \"Your presence shows that the message of the Islamic Revolution is reaching far and wide.\" ✨ \"Your organized rally is a proof that our resistance against the arrogant powers is successful and victorious.\" Many such comments were given to us by the local Iranian crowd. Former Cuban president Fidel Castro says al-Qaeda terrorists have been engineered in order to advance the Bush administration's agenda. In an essay published on Sunday, Castro said the terrorist group "was born from the empire's own entrails", using the term "empire" to refer to the United States. After the Sept. 11 attacks, the Bush administration vowed to capture al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, who has reportedly taken responsibility for the deadly attacks on US soils. "[Al-Qaeda] is a typical example of an enemy that the hegemonic power dangles in a place of its choosing where it needs to justify its actions, as it has done throughout its history, fabricating enemies and attacks destined to strengthen its plans of domination," the former Cuban leader argued. According to Castro, the American public has been mislead by the US government about the real extent of the terrorist attacks in 2001. Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has also suggested that Washington could have been somehow involved in the planning of the attacks. In the aftermath of the attacks, the White House launched the 'War on Terror' in a bid to disband al-Qaeda. While many civilians have been killed since the 2001 invasions of Afghanistan, followed by the 2003 invasion of Iraq, the US has failed to achieve its objectives in the region. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) program called "Operation Cyclone" is reportedly responsible for the creation of the terrorist group, when the CIA funded native Afghan militants in the conflict with the Soviet Union. In an article published by the Okaz daily, Saudi journalist, Khaled al-Harbi wrote that while Saudi Arabia earns 1,500 billion riyals (around 400 billion dollars) a year, the average salary of an ordinary Saudi citizen should not be 1,500 riyals (around 400 dollars). According to official figures released by Consultative Assembly of Saudi Arabia (Shura), about 22 percent of Saudi citizens - at least 3 million citizens - live below the poverty line. Their wish to liberate Palestine and al-Quds from the Zionists goes beyond all their differences. This year's al-Quds day, in the aftermath of revolutions and political turbulences in the Muslim and Arab world, and in the prospect of sectarian conflicts and civil wars ignited by the western powers, is a unique opportunity to forget all differences, to use the spiritual and liberating experience of Ramadan and to come together as brothers and sisters. Muslims traditionally tend to ignore the material life and worldly pleasures and to restrain themselves from any dispute during the month of Ramadan. Al-Quds was started 33 years ago by Ayatollah Imam Khomeini to mark the last Friday of Ramadan, and a call for Muslims to rise up against Israel in the fight for a Palestinian state. A group of Muslims will mark Al-Quds Day in Toronto on Aug. 18, gathering on the front lawn of the Ontario’s Legislature, as they have done before. While little is known about the committee that organizes the events, the marking of Al-Quds is far-reaching, and will be recognized by various Islamic groups in cities throughout North America. According to the website www.freealquds.org, rallies will be held in numerous U.S. cities, including New York, Tampa, Los Angeles and Detroit. Al-Quds Day will also be recognized by Muslim groups in Calgary, as well as Montreal, Ottawa and Vancouver. “This is an international event,” says Anita Bromberg, of B’nai Brith Canada, one of a handful of Jewish groups opposing the Ontario Liberal’s decision to permit the upcoming rally in Toronto. “The Al-Quds committee has a website, (but) they don’t really give you the names of the individuals or the groups that are involved, but if you look at the 2011 (event) you can see there was a list of different organizations involved.”

Like their counterparts in 770 cities in 80 countries of the world, thousands of Torontonians took to the streets on the International Day of Al-Quds to denounce Zionism and express their complete solidarity with the brutally oppressed, indigenous population of Palestine. The rally in Toronto was led by Jewish rabbis, activists from Independent Jewish Voices and other Jews who want to reclaim the hijacked faith of Judaism from the Zionist extremists. The rally also featured representatives from 150 peace organizations, labor movements, churches, mosques and human rights groups. Scores of Israeli settlers alongside American tourists entered the al Aqsa mosque compound in Jerusalem al Quds on Thursday morning to conduct historical tours and perform religious rituals. Officials from al Aqsa state that these violations are now occurring on almost a daily basis.

In Egypt, police fire tear gas on a student rally in support of ousted president Mohamed Morsi at Cairo\'s al-Azhar University. The Egyptian interior ministry says eleven al-Azhar students and 14 others from other universities have been arrested. For several weeks now, the students have been demonstrating at the country\'s top institution for Islamic teachings against the army\'s ouster of the first democratically-elected president in early July. This, after the head of al-Azhar University had called on the police to enter campus grounds. Earlier, security forces arrested Essam al-Arian, a senior Muslim Brotherhood figure, after storming his house. Arian was the most senior Brotherhood figure on the run after the arrest of nearly all of the group\'s top leaders.

The Lebanese Army says D-N-A tests confirm the identity of an arrested Saudi suspect as Majed al-Majed. He is the leader of a terrorist group behind a deadly attack on the Iranian embassy in Beirut. Majed was arrested on Monday. He is the ring leader of Abdullah Azzam Brigades, an al-Qaeda offshoot. The group launched the attack against the Iranian Embassy on November 19. The back-to-back blasts left at least 23 people dead, including an Iranian diplomat. Over 160 others were also injured in the violence. The Saudi ambassador to Lebanon has said that Beirut should extradite Majed to Riyadh in case the man\\\'s identity is confirmed. Tehran says a team will be sent to Lebanon to be involved in the interrogation of the man who was behind a terrorist attack on the Iranian Embassy in Beirut. Iran\\\'s Foreign Minister Mohamamd Javad Zarif appreciated efforts by Lebanese officials in the arrest of Saudi national Majed al-Majed. Zarif made the comments during a phone conversation with his Lebanese counterpart, Adnan Mansour. For his part, Mansour expressed hope that security would return to his country with the capture of al-Majed and other terrorists.

Over 20,000 Canadians belonging to 70 different Mosques, Churches, Synagogues and anti-war, civil and human rights organizations came together for the historic rally held in Queen\\\'s park Toronto on July 26, 2014. The largest Al-Quds rally in the history of Toronto and North America included a significant number of Jewish organizations including \\\"Not in our Name\\\", \\\"Neturei Karta\\\", \\\"Jews against Occupation\\\" and \\\"Independent Jewish Voices\\\" as well as men, women and children from all faiths and walks of life. The speakers and participants of the rally came to express their solidarity with the brutally oppressed people of occupied Palestine and to protest against the terrorist state of israel, whose Zionist settlers believe that they have a right to imprison, expel and massacre men, women and children to expand the illegal settlements and the occupation of the indigenous Palestinians. July 11, 2015: Thousands of Torontonians joined millions of people in 800 cities across 85 countries to denounce the barbaric occupation of indigenous Palestinians by the Zionists. The streets in Toronto and around the world were abuzz with the slogans of “Shame Shame USA”, “Shame Shame israel” and “From the river to the sear, Palestine will be free”. The Al-Quds rally in Toronto was attended by Jews, Christians, Muslims and supporters of peace and justice from all walks of life. Addressing the rally, the Jewish speakers pointed out that a large number of Jews oppose Zionism and the war crimes committed by the state of israel in the name of Judaism. The Jewish law does not allow for illegal occupation of land, mass incarceration of men, women and children and forced expulsion of the indigenous Christian and Muslim Palestinians from their homes. Other speakers vowed to defeat efforts by the state of israel to silence the condemnation of its crimes against humanity by accusing the protestors of anti-Semitism. They pledged to work together with the Jews, who oppose the racist and inhumane policies of israel , to give a voice to the voiceless Palestinians. Many of the attendees pointed out that Canadians, Americans, French or citizens of any other country will never accept if the Zionist came to their land and tried to expel them forcibly from their homes by claiming that they are the chosen people and their god has gifted the land to them. There was a small group of counter protestors representing the illegal settlers and the state of israel. They primarily consisted of members of B’nai Brith and the Jewsih Defence League. The former has been credited with the creation of the terrorist state of israel and its continued illegal occupation and the later has been declared as a terrorist organization due to its violent activities against innocent civilians. Despite the best efforts by the representatives of israel in various countries to silence the protest against the apartheid state, the number of cities participating in the Al-Quds rallies and the number of organizations signing up for the boycott, divestment and sanctions movement continues to grow. The day is not far, when Palestine will be free and the war criminals in israel will be prosecuted for their crimes against humanity.
