Iran's transportation and fuel center is teaming with the country's traffic police, department of motor vehicles and Iran's Environmental Protection Organization (IEPO) to remove aged vehicles to assist in solving the country's air pollution crisis. According to TIME Magazine Iran has 4 cities named as the top ten most polluted cities in the world. As air pollution continues to be an issue in Iran, government organizations have teamed up to solve this catastrophe for good. The goal is to remove vehicles aged private automobiles, taxis, passenger busses and trucks 20 years and older because they fail vehicle emission testing which is the core foundation for air pollution. PTC (Iran's transportation and fuel center estimates there are 1,200,000 aged vehicles throughout Iran. According to Iran's Environmental Protection Organization over 70% of air pollution in Iran especially in the capital Tehran which populates close to 14,000,000 is a direct cause of these aged vehicles.) In addition there are close to 9 million motorcycles in Iran of which 3 million are over aged. In the past 9 months close to 300,000 automobiles, busses and trucks and 600,000 motorcycles have been taken off the streets. The government is also offering a low interest rate loan for residents to turn in their aged vehicles and purchase brand new automobiles. The government is giving taxi drivers a loan of almost $7,000 while bus and truck drivers can get a loan of $20,000 and $50,000 respectively. Also according to IEPO Iran petroleum factories will only produce fuel based on Euro 4 standards by the end of March 2015. Currently Iran is importing Euro 4 standard fuel till it becomes fully efficient.

Islamabad A teenage suicide bomber on Sunday struck a religious gathering of the Shia community killing at least 30 people and injuring nearly 200 others in the town of Chakwal in Punjab province hours after security forces were targetted near UN office in the heart of the federal capital. The suicide attacker detonated his explosives near the gate of an Imambargah or prayer hall in Chakwal some 90 kilometers south of Islamabad when he was barred from entering the complex by persons guarding the entrance. About 2000 worshippers had gathered for majlis - a religious ceremony - at the Imambargah when the attack occurred a little after 12.30 pm local time. Thirty people were killed by the blast state-run APP news agency reported. There was no official word on the incident though witnesses and reporters said nearly 200 people were injured in the blast. Witnesses said the suicide bomber was aged about 16 or 17 years and was dressed in black. TV channels beamed footage of blood and body parts spattered on the wall near the gate of the Imambargah.

On Tuesday morning, over a dozen SWAT -- Special Weapons and Tactics -- officers broke into a house in California and detained a man, handcuffed him, put him and his three children, aged 3, 7 and 11, in a cruiser and commenced to search his house, she said. The man was questioned for hours, all because of his ex-wife's overdue student loans. Sheehan described the incident as “oppressive.” "Of course we have seen such [incidents]. When we had a demo at the G-20, the last one was in Pittsburg, and there were more heavily armed police officers… I myself was there. I got tear gassed, I got shot at with rubber bullets, chased by the police just for exercising our freedom of speech!" "The most damning thing that shows that the United States is in the process of [a] police state is the recent passage of the USA Patriot Act which basically makes the Constitution of the United States null and void," said Sheehan. A SWAT team is an elite tactical unit in various national law enforcement departments. They are trained to perform high-risk operations that fall outside of the abilities of regular officers. The first SWAT team in the US was established in the Los Angeles Police Department in 1968.

This week a middle aged woman passed away as a result of injuries inflicted on her by the use of poisonous tear gas by the brute dictatorship of Bahrain and their Saudi backed supporters. Including Britain and the US which continues to give arms and political and diplomatic support to a brutal regime that is killing the people in its own country for the simple act of asking for; one man, one woman, one vote.

A United Nations human rights body has criticized the Tel Aviv regime for torturing Palestinian children, saying the Israeli military frequently uses them as human shields in its operations. The UN Committee on the Rights of the Child said on Thursday Palestinian children in the occupied West Bank and blockaded Gaza Strip are normally not allowed to have their birth registered, and are denied access to health care, decent schooling as well as safe drinking water. The UN report also stated that an estimated 7,000 Palestinian children aged 12 to 17, but some as young as nine, have been arrested, interrogated and detained over the past ten years.
