Bahraini regime forces have arrested several people after they filed official notice of peaceful protests in the Persian Gulf Kingdom.
The main opposition group al-Wefaq says that at least three people were arrested after they gave authorities the required official request for a mass protest organized by opposition parties. Al-Wefaq condemned the move, saying authorities are using their power to punish the individuals through arrest. Bahrain has been rocked by anti-regime demonstrations since February 2011. The protesters have been calling for the downfall of the regime. Dozens of people have been killed and a large number of demonstrators arrested in the crackdown since then.

Fresh anti-government protests are underway in Egypt, a day after deadly clashes between police and demonstrators.
One student protester has been killed in the capital Cairo. Clashes broke out after students in Al-Azhar University staged a protest against the military-installed government. They even set the Faculty of Commerce on fire. On Friday, five people were killed as police fired tear gas and birdshots at protesters. The opposition Anti-Coup Alliance-- led by the Muslim Brotherhood, has now called for seven days of street protests. The call came just one day after the interim government declared the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization.

Three policemen and ten gunmen were killed. The violence also spread to the nearby city of Fallujah. The lawmakers are also calling for the release of detained MP Ahmed al-Alwani who backs the anti-government protesters. On Saturday, security forces raided Alwani\\\'s home. Seven people -- including the MP\\\'s brother, five guards and a security force member - were killed before Alwani was taken into custody.

So far they have covered over 2000 kilometer long distance by foot from October last year onwards. Their final destination is capital city Islamabad ---just few hours walk from this main road.
