Officials in Dubai said the team appeared to be a professional hit squad, probably sponsored by a foreign power.
They released CCTV footage which they said showed some of the suspects in disguises, including wigs and false beards, in the hotel near Dubai's international airport.
The suspects allegedly trailed Mr Mabhouh when he arrived in Dubai from Syria, paid for everything in cash and used various mobile phones.

The U.S. is apparently shipping large quantities of bunker-busting bombs to a British territory. A Scottish newspaper claims the ordinance, which was widely used in the Iraq invasion, is being sent to Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean. And it's raising fears American forces could be preparing an attack on Iran. Let's talk more on this now with nuclear disarmament activist Alan Mackinnon.

The Israeli government denies its soldiers used live ammunition during a demonstration in the occupied West Bank on Saturday.
The army issued a statement saying its soldiers only fired rubber coated steel bullets against what they described as a "violent and illegal riot" in the village.
However, men died when they were hit by what doctors say were live rounds.
Israel reportedly plans to launch an investigation.

Israeli soldiers killed two Palestinian youths on Saturday during a demonstration in their village, Iraq Burin. The Israeli army then issued a statement alleging its soldiers only used rubber-coated steel bullets in the village. But doctors and human rights organisations say their evidence disproves this account. And Al Jazeera has obtained pictures with the clear sound of gunfire, taken by an activist who was at the incident. With such evidence, the army will now be taking a second look at its soldiers account of events.

April 26, 2010 Around 50 Palestinians and internationals had managed to stop the work of the bulldozers for several hours in the village of Al Walaja, on 25.04.2010. The Israeli soldiers tried to remove people from the area, but demonstrators managed to stay until they were violently dragged one by one. The Israeli soldiers also used stun grenades and tear gas canisters directly at people, as well as pepper spray. One Palestinian got arrested and several were injured. Once completed the Wall will totally surround the village.

Contributed by Abuzari. Since its pre-emptive war of 1967, Israel had maintained an aura of "invincibility" and "legitimacy". The first got bitterly crushed in the Summer of 2006 and later in the 2008-9 aggression on Gaza (where Israel failed to neutralize the resistance). As for legitimacy, for Israel it matters most of all in the US. Israel however paid a high price for its inhumane massacres in Lebanon and Gaza because it failed to achieve a clear and tangible victory in these military campaigns (the "birth pangs" of Condi Rice did not yield the desired outcomes which could have been used as justification for Israeli atrocities.) Especially during the Gaza massacre, Israel's image was severely damaged by graphic images and information that got disseminated over internet and through hundreds of protest gatherings in North America and Europe. Israel still had a tighter control on information flow in the corporate media. Due to all of these developments, the entity of Israel is in a deep crisis right now, struggling to survive with whatever means it can, and it may resort to unrealistic steps, including another military warfare. However, what's becoming clearer with every passing day is that it probably won't take too long before this racist entity is finally dismantled like the Apartheid South Africa. To defy Israel's four-year blockade of the impoverished Palestinian enclave, a Libyan aid ship departs for the Egyptian port of El-Arish en route to Gaza.
The cargo ship Amalthea, which left the Greek port of Lavrio, southeast of Athens, late Saturday, is carrying 2,000 tons of food and medical supplies, including sacks of rice, sugar, corn oil and olive paste, intended for suffering Gazans.
"We hope that the Israeli authorities would not ban the ship from entering the port of Gaza," said Youssef Sawani, Executive Director of the Gaddafi International Charity and Development Foundation. The foundation is chaired by the son of Libyan Leader, Muammar Gaddafi.
"I think the Israelis need to understand that we are not provoking any kind of action, we are not in military action, we are a peaceful organization, a humanitarian organization," he said.
Greek Deputy Foreign Minister Dimitris Droutsas said he has discussed the ship's planned trip with Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman on Friday.
The ship has nine crew members — six Libyans, a Moroccan, a Nigerian and an Algerian.
This latest attempt comes after Israeli commandos attacked the Freedom Flotilla aid convoy on May 31 in international waters, killing 9 Turkish activists.
The Israeli assault sparked a worldwide condemnation and a row between Ankara and Tel Aviv. Turkey's Prime Minister demanded that Israel apologize for the deadly attack on the Turkish-owned ship Mavi Marmara, offer compensation to the victims, agree to an international investigation and end the blockade of Gaza.
It also recalled its ambassador from Tel Aviv and cancelled military exercises with Israel. It has also twice denied Israel the use of its airspace.
Israel has refused to apologize, claiming its commandos only used force to defend themselves after being ambushed.

Four Ghadir submarines join Iran fleet
Amid efforts to boost security in the Persian Gulf, the Iranian Navy has been equipped with four domestic-made Ghadir class mini submarines.
Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Vahidi hailed the delivery as a sign of progress in Iranian
military ingenuity.
Brig. Gen. Vahidi said that the stealth submarine is capable of launching torpedoes as well as precision targeting.
"The mass production of this strategic vessel has been carried out with the aim of increasing the defense
capabilities of the Naval Forces ... and today four advanced Ghadir submarines joined the Iranian naval fleet."
The Ghadir submarine was first unveiled in 2007. The 120-ton vessel has excellent shallow depth performance, and can
carry out long-term coastal missions. The Iranian fleet currently has 11 Ghadir submarines.
Aside from three Russian-built Kilo class diesel submarines, the Iranian Navy also operates another homemade 500-ton
submarine in its patrol missions in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz.
"With the mass production of this submarine alongside various guided-missile launchers the country's defensive
production chain is complete, and these capabilities will be used to served peace, stability and security in the
Persian Gulf region and the Sea of Oman," he added.

Israeli forces raid al-Aqsa Mosque
Israeli forces have stormed the holy al-Aqsa Mosque in al-Quds (Jerusalem) to disperse Palestinians protesting against Israeli aggressions.
Palestinian officials say the protests started after an Israeli guard shot and killed a 32-year old Palestinian during clashes between Israeli settlers and Palestinians in the Silwan neighborhood on Wednesday.
The killing sparked protests in the area in which at least ten Palestinians were wounded.
Israeli riot police used rubber bullet and tear gas to disperse protesters and chased off those who sought refuge at al-Aqsa mosque, Islam's third-holiest shrine.
There were no immediate reports of casualties or further confrontations.
Despite the resumption of direct Israeli-Palestinian talks, the Palestinian Authority says Israeli settlers have not stopped attacking Palestinians in occupied territories for even a single day.
Ghassan Daghlas, a Palestinian Authority official in charge of monitoring settler activity in the northern, occupied West Bank, says Israeli settlers attack Palestinians and their properties on a daily basis. He says the attacks are premeditated and carefully planned.
Other reports say Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian farms in the West Bank city of Nablus on Tuesday and took away part of their olive crop.

US, Israel behind cyber-attack on Iran?
Experts say a computer worm that has targeted Iran's industrial sites may be part of a cyber-attack by the US or Israel against the Islamic Republic.
The Stuxnet, a computer worm that is viewed as potentially the most dangerous piece of computer malware discovered, has targeted industrial computers in Iran.
The complex worm recognizes a specific facility's control network and then destroys it.
Experts say the worm, which has a very sophisticated design, may have been created by a state-sponsored organization in the US or Israel to target specific control software being used in the Iranian industrial sector, including the Bushehr plant -- Iran's first nuclear power plant.
"All the details so far to me scream that this was created by a nation-state," Bloomberg quoted Frank Rieger, technology chief for a maker of encrypted mobile phones, as saying.
Iran's nuclear facilities may have been the targets, said both Rieger and Richard Falkenrath of the Chertoff Group, a Washington-based security advisory firm.
"It is theoretically possible that the US government did this," Falkenrath said during an interview with Bloomberg Television on Saturday. "But in my judgment, that's a very remote possibility. It's more likely that Israel did it."
Meanwhile, a top US cyber-security official claims that the US does not know who is behind the cyber-attack and is still analyzing the worm.
"We've conducted analysis on the software itself," Sean McGurk, director of the National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center, told reporters on Friday.
"It's very difficult to say 'This is what it was targeted to do,'" he said, adding the center was not looking for those behind the attack but it rather sought to prevent the spread.
The US and Israel accuse Iran of developing a nuclear weapons program. Iran rejects the allegation, saying its nuclear program is solely for peaceful purposes.
The International Atomic Energy Agency, in its several reports, has confirmed that it continues to verify the country's non-diversion from its peaceful path.

Ahmadinejad stands by 9/11 probe call
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says questioning the truth behind the 9/11 attacks does not mean Tehran is apathetic toward the victims of the tragedy.
"The event was very suspicious, but I do not wish to pass judgment. I simply tried to offer a proposal for a humane solution to problems that have risen as a result of 9/11,"Ahmadinejad told a press conference on Friday.
"We are, of course, saddened by the fact that people were killed in 9/11. We have expressed our sympathy and solidarity with their relatives," the Iranian president added.
"But we would also like to bring to your attention that hundreds of thousands of people in our region, innocent people, were killed as the result of 9/11."
In his speech at the UN General Assembly in New York on Thursday, President Ahmadinejad criticized the US response to the 9/11 attacks, saying it was just a pretext for invading Iraq and Afghanistan.
One day before the ninth anniversary of the September 11 attacks, the Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth said evidence regarding the destruction of the World Trade Center towers has emerged that show planted explosives were used in the demolition of the buildings.
Gregg Roberts, who is a member of the non-profit organization disputing the results of official 9/11 investigations, said the "official story is a lie, it is a fraud."

A terrible day to be on the side of Western-Israeli secularist fanatics and colonialists.
Is Lebanon becoming a part of Iran, or is Iran becoming a part of Lebanon? What fellow Western secularists fail to understand - because of our long tradition of supremacist inspirations - is that what unfolds today from the Persian Gulf to the shores of the Mediterranean is one soul in two (and more) bodies.
Media of all sides has speculated on President Ahmadinejad throwing a stone at Israel as a symbol of sympathy to the Palestinian intifada - a chance some Israeli officials have called to be used to assassinate the representative of the Iranian nation.
But with a welcome like this, isn't the stone already thrown, not only at Israel, but also at their mates in the US and EU?

Tuesday, 02 November 2010 19:05 Baqie Cemetery -
Pilgrims are pouring in from all over the world for the Hajj, and since there is still at least ten days for the pilgrimage to start in holy Mecca, the faithful are visiting holy Medina to pay their respects at the shrine of the Almighty's Last Messenger to mankind, Prophet Mohammad (SAWA). The devotees also make it a point to visit the ruins of the Sacred Jannat al-Baqie Cemetery nearby, which was unfortunately destroyed on April 13, 1925 when the Wahhabis seized control of the Hejaz and the holy cities. The most imposing mausoleum in Baqie used to be over the blessed tombs of four of the Infallible Imams of the Prophet's Household: Imam Hasan Mojtaba, Imam Zain al-Abedin, Imam Mohammad Baqer and Imam Ja'far Sadeq (peace upon them). On the way to Mena, two miles from the Holy City of Mecca, on Jabl an-Nur is the Cave of Hera, a small opening about 3.5 meters long and a little over 1.5 meters wide.
Here Prophet Muhammad (blessings of God upon him and his progeny) used to pray to the One and Only God and meditate in solitude away from the polytheist society of Arabia. Here, on the 27th of Rajab in 609 AD, he received the first divine revelation through the Archangel Gabriel and was commanded to formally declare his mission as the Last and Final Messenger of God.

Not many people will go through all the leaked documents. They will mostly hear what the mainstream media and political groups choose to focus on. In this clip Ray McGovern argues that The New York Times ignores intelligence that there is no evidence of Iran nuclear weapons program. --- One should not discount the possibility of a good number of forged and fragmented documents intentionally released to the Wikileaks by government apparatuses. That reason alone is enough to suggest that the Wikileaks cannot be a measure of truth per se, but it is the perspective with which one judges its content, and since there can be multiple perspectives, the truth of these leaks will remain contested. Further, the accuracy of some documents in the leaks should not be taken as a verification of the accuracy of the rest of the documents. On the question of verification, the Wikileaks website itself suggests that, the "simplest and most effective countermeasure is a worldwide community of informed users and editors who can scrutinize and discuss leaked documents.”
Lastly, in any review of these leaks, one should also interrogate the sources used and the background and politics of the people working for the Wikileaks. Because these considerations have a huge impact on what the Wikileaks editors choose to release (and what they do not), their timing, and their targets. Perhaps, their politics and agenda will become clearer with the release of more leaked documents.

Amid tension and increased attacks, People in Gaza mark December 27 when Israel launched a deadly attack on the territory two years ago.
The attack described by human rights organizations as the single most brutal attack against Palestinians by Israeli forces killed more than 1400 people, most of them civilians, and injured nearly 5000 others. It also caused extensive damage to Gaza infrastructure and private property.
Police officers laid flowers at the scene where many of their colleagues were killed in the first day of the war. Families of victims planted trees , while others including children took part in rallies.
Two years on, nothing has changed for the better for residents of Gaza. The report by the fact finding commission led by Richard Goldstone has led nowhere as Israel has only tried a few on minor charges .
The war was condemned internationally and the UN Goldstone Report found that Israel had used disproportionate force and accused it of war crimes and possibly crimes against humanity.
